[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,5,true][atrb=style, width: 400px; bTable; ] [atrb=style, padding: -5px; height: 400px;] She had figured that the moment she had said her name Kuro would have thrown a fit about why she was back and why she was risking her life to come to this village after having left it. Instead she found herself in a state of silence as Kuro found himself unable to speak or for that matter move. She was sure that the initial shock of her news was well shocking after all but she couldn’t fathom that he was going to remain so quiet for this long. It truly wasn’t like the child she knew who would throw a fit if she ran out of snacks to early, she had learned quite well how to manager her goodies after a few rounds with Kuro’s small fists of fury. Natsuki was a bit afraid to move or say anything for the time being, Kuro was always one who had been a real treat when highly upset. However if he failed to collect his brain soon she was going to have to force the boy to accept the fact that she was sitting right before him and had been this whole time regardless of whatever training he had been given he was still wet behind the ears.
She was a bit surprised however when he suddenly began to yell at her, the fact that he could say her name so plainly now without the little stutter at the end. It was sad that his cute way of saying her name was no more and had long been given up to the adolescent gods, truly it was a pity in its own right. Natsuki found herself confused for a moment as he carried on, surely someone would have told the boy of the happenings and why she was now a rouge? Apparently from the heart broken expression on his face they had chosen to ignore the truth and had found that leaving no explanation at all was better. Her face never left her hands as she looked down at him “ what in the world are you talking about Kuro, defective Shinobi cannot return to their clans to say goodbye if they escape they can never return unless captured or their bounty is removed and they are reaccepted. And since the latter is most likely not possible or ever happened the idea that I could come tell anyone goodbye was well impossible. W..were you honestly not aware of why I was forced to leave?”

Natuski was a Nukenin? Impossible! She had shown no signs of it all the years they hung out together. Granted, the boy was just a kid but he would have been able to tell if she was constantly upset or angry, and he never got that feeling. Natsuki always had grand stories of missions and trips and sounded so happy, so why was she now speaking about leaving the village? As he was just a kid no one was going to spend the time to try and explain to him what had happened, and for the most part they didn't need to. The clan assumed that the boy's sadness would pass over time, and indeed it did, but not even they could predict the two meeting up again years later. Kuro definitely had some questions to ask when he returned to the village, but at the moment had to deal with the woman he had not seen in years.
"Of course no one told me! I was a child! But that doesn't explain why you left me.. I mean, us. You can't just up and leave and then act so calmly about it." His voice had raised once more, and the tears were becoming harder to hold back, but the Genin had succeeded once again. Another emotionless response from Natsuki, however, and the tears would surely come flowing. Not out of sadness, but out of anger. How could she be so calm in a situation like this? Did she not care for the clan, village, or Kuro at all when she decided to leave? That must have been it for her to be so calm.
The Hozuki lowered his head a bit as the sight of the woman only served to make him more upset, and he had good mind to turn tail and head back to the village and tell his clan where Natsuki was. She deserved it, after all. That was what all Nueknin deserved. Of course, Kuro would not be able to bring himself to it, not in a million years. He still cared deeply for the woman and wanted so badly to return to the days where she fed him treats and told him stories. However, that era had longed past and now there was just resurfaced pain and anger.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,5,true][atrb=style, width: 400px; bTable; ] [atrb=style, padding: -5px; height: 400px;] It bothered her the way he stared at her with such a disbelieve and with such anger, surely he had not been under the impression that she had just up and abandoned him without a second thought. Truly Kuro should have known better then to assume that she was the kind of person that would have abandoned him on her own will alone and not for no reason at all. She supposed that perhaps things were a bit messed up and after all this coming from her very own lips with no emotion to them, she was trying to stay normal calm and collected so that his emotions wouldn’t be strung out. It was a lot to accept but it seemed only to further the hate in his eyes and the tears that sat brimming on the edge of his lids. Oh if the boy started crying Natsuki would just lose her composer and end up balling like a baby before him, she hoped he could keep up his will. When he started to shout at her once more Natsuki could barely resist the urge to jump down and cuddle the poor creature, she had left him and he had tried to play it off as though she had abandoned the clan instead.
When his head lowered she allowed herself to drop down on the ground before him, her hand stretched out to lift his chin as she smiled at him. “I didn’t leave because I wanted to , I had no choice” she quickly pulled him into a tight embrace and sighed as she rested her chin upon his head. She knew that explaining everything would take more time then the two of them had and if he remained gone for too long people no the clan would send people to look for him. “ I was tricked into doing something horrible and as a result I was assumed to be in leagues with people I no longer know. It happened to quickly one night and I was forced to fight and flee in order to avoid capture and punishment, no one will believe I was innocent I was caught in a well planned trap. However you cannot tell anyone you saw or spoke with me and you cannot mention me to anyone, never bring up my name or they will know we have spoken” it was a horrible way to keep things but if she had Kuro running around starting trouble for her then she would have never been able to come back and see him again. More so they would keep such an eye on him that he would never be free to do as he wished anymore, they would make sure to follow and control him so that in the likely case he were to see her again they could capture her.

[atrb=cellpadding,0,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,435,true][atrb=vAlign,top] ❝ YOU'RE SOMETHING DEADLY THAT I JUST CAN'T PUT MY FINGER ON. ❞ WORDS 405 TAGS characters NOTES write anything you want here! | [atrb=vAlign, top] The boy was far too upset to remove the woman's hand when she lifted his chin, instead opting to divert his gaze so that he would not have to see her. He didn't believe her simple explanation about the matter and felt it was a poorly made up excuse to quell the boy's emotions. Needless to say it had not worked. he nearly lost his footing as Natsuki pulled him in for a huge, and as much as he wanted to break free from it she was far too strong. Memories of the time they spent together raced through his mind as the two became close. He hated not seeing her for all these years and wanted so badly to take her back to the village. Surely she could explain herself and everything would go back to normal, right? A fool's dream at best, death was probably the only option for Natsuki if she ever stepped foot inside Kirigakure again. However, Kuro could not just see her this once and never again, not after all this time. There had to be something he could do.
Her further explanation gave little insight into what really happened. It was vague and unimpressive yet the boy held onto every word. Then came the part about not being able to tell anyone that they had met. It was common sense but hiding a secret such as that was liable to get the boy in trouble for treason. No matter, he would do anything for this woman who helped raise him. "But... what am I supposed to do? I don't want to go this long again without seeing you! Can't you talk to someone and have them hear you out? There has to be something, Nassi-chan." Without even realizing it Kuro had reverted back to calling the woman a nickname he hadn't used in years.
Before he could properly pronounce her name that was the nickname used to identify her. It was at this point that Kuro could no longer hold back his tears. They flowed from his face in waves and he did little to stop them. All the feelings had come rushing back and were too strong. He couldn't go without seeing Natsuki for who knew how long again, it was unfair! Thin arms wrapped around the woman as Kuro deepened the embrace; never wanting this moment to end.

The poor thing was so limp against her that Natsuki could feel the pull on her heart strings as she stared down at his lifeless body, there he stood held fast by her arms against her body. He was taking the news just as well as anyone could have expected though she had been completely sure her Kuro would have been a bit more angry with her then he had been showing. She had missed his eager little questions and the way his eyes used to light up when she told him stories, granted most of them had been highly exaggerated being as at the time she had been of a lower rank and such exciting missions had been far from her reach. However she knew that by the end of this Kuro would be far from the idea of letting her return to her nomadic life without some sort of contact with him. She though she had known so much about her darling little Kuro and yet in the end he always seemed to surprise her by leaps and bounds. When she had started her new life as a Jonin things had changed and her time with Kuro had shortened greatly , what little time she could spend with him always seemed to be getting interrupted and before she had known it the little guy had started the academy and their time to be together had completely been cut off. Sure she would spot him from time to time having fun with friends or training with his teammates, plus their were always family meetings and gatherings that should would find the boy but nothing could bring back the long spent time of just being together with him.
Her knees began to quiver when the boy began to protest in such a tone that called upon ever soft hearted feeling in her body, she had almost caved when the boy had called her by the nick name he had unofficially given her. The poor thing was never good at pronouncing hard words and Natsuki’s name at the time had been far to complicated for his small little lips. The weight of his arms around her body made her lips tremble and the moment his eyes began to release the waterfall of tears Natsuki was unable to control herself. Falling back against the rock behind her Natsuki slid down its slick wall pulling the poor soul along with her, his body had grown but she was still able to tuck the dear thing between her legs in order to cradle his body next to hers. Her right arm quickly made to cover what she could of his waist hugging him tightly to her as her left made to his head in order to gently pat atop it, she cooed at him in a hushed tone trying to help quill the ache that had finally seeped from his bones. “ if only it were that easy my love I think I would have done it sooner, if only to keep this heartache from reaching you so deeply” she whispered softly to him. “ you must be brave for me just a little longer and you have to play the part of my brave knightly Kuro who would never cry like this, how can I sneak back to this place to see you if you act so highly out of character?”

The tears continued to stream down his face and hit the ground as they welled up. He wasn't sure what to do at this point and knew that trying to speak would only end up a babbling mess. But that didn't matter, the boy simply wanted remain in this feeling as he had done so many times all those years ago.
It was true that as the two grew older their duties limited the time they could spend with each other, but it was still better than the woman just up and leaving one day. Seeing Natsuki once in a while was better than never. He listened to her words, but still was unable to truly believe the woman. If she had explain exactly why she had to leave the village then perhaps it would have helped, but yet another excuse was not going to help improve the situation.
The gross sobbing Kuro had been letting out begun to subside when Natsuki spoke about him having to be brave for her. After all, it was the least he could do if he wanted to be able to see her again, or was that just another ploy to assure his silence? Either way, Kuro was going to comply. "O-Ok, I can be brave. If it's to be able to see you again." He replied, clearing his throat in the process. The Genin continued his embrace and snuggled his head into the woman's chest. It wasn't sexual in the least but soft and assuring. A hilarious irony considering how much of a player Kuro usually was.

The only time she could remember the sobbing mess of a boy acting like this happened to be when he had fallen and hurt his knee rather badly. You would have thought that someone had cut off a finger or something more serious then a slightly worse off scrape up the knee. No matter what they had done nothing seemed to have calmed his rage or his sobbing, that was until Natsuki had finally dropped the lad in a small creak not far from them. The cooling water had not only shocked the boy but made him forget all about his little wound and the cold of the water had caused the area to reduce in its swelling. Thought she didn’t think that getting a teenage boy into ice cold water would have been the right thing to do at this very moment. No this whole situation was far different then a physical wound and she knew there was nothing she could do to fix the scar upon his heart. Natsuki couldn’t risk telling him what happened because he was still so young and would be more prey to accidentally being forced to told. The little the details the safer he was going to be and that was how Natsuki wanted to leave him, safe and sound.
Kissing the top of his head she smiled slightly a sigh slipping from her lips as she tightened her hold on him “ please believe that if I didn’t think it would put you in danger I would tell you more about it, however I do not wish to put you in such a situation.”. She pulled his face up and wiped the tears from his cheeks, it was unbecoming of such a fine young man to be sobbing like a four year old. Kissing his cheek she smiled at him and once again pulled him closer to her, she had rather missed being able to cuddle close to someone without the fear of them finding out she was a girl and well to be honest it was quite nice.

He wanted so desperately to remain like this for all eternity, or at least for a few more hours; either was good. Having to go back to the village after such an ordeal would only prove to cause the man to think about today's events even more. If that happened then his mental state would also alter and his family would know something was up. He wasn't that great of a liar and for a situation of this magnitude even the tiniest slip of information would land both himself and Natsuki in trouble.
Alas, the boy would have to be brave for not only himself but his favorite person. He wouldn't be able to live with himself if Natsuki wound up captured or killed because he couldn't keep his mouth shut. However, just knowing that she was out there, alive, would be good enough for him until they could meet again. They just had to meet again, and soon. Going this long without seeing her for a second time would only serve to upset him further, and neither of them wanted that.
As his tears were being wiped away Kuro was finally able to stop the cascade of water from trailing down his face. Only a stray tear here and there would fall from now on, but for the most part the Hozuki was good. "It's fine, I trust you." The Genin replied in what he considered a calm voice but in reality it was still slightly choked up. "Just promise me that we won't go this long without seeing each other again, okay?" He added, his tone a mix between serious and sappy. As his wits slowly came back to him Kuro realized just how ridiculous the position they were in was. Though they were out of the way of the normal path that lead to the village if one were to happen upon their slumped mass then an entirely different situation would have taken place, and Kuro couldn't handle another emotional extreme in such a short time span.

Granted the boy was far to big for Natsuki to be coddling him like she was but the situation was far from avoidable and well she rather liked having him so close to her. She hoped that if the day came when she was in the position to bare children that they might in fact turn out to be as loveable and soft hearted as Kuro was. Not that a day like that would ever come so soon or at all for Natsuki, no she would spend the rest of her life running and if she was ever fated to find a place to call her home there was no doubt a life in fear of being found out would serve no purpose at all. She hoped that one day the words spoke by Kuro could come true, that she would have a chance in the end to speak about what really happened three years ago and how she had no part in it at all. She doubted the shame that had fallen upon her would help any within the clan though she hoped that perhaps this misunderstanding would be resolved so that she could find her place back within the village.
She planted her lips to his cheek and with a giggle she pulled back, the poor boy had been thought so much in the last few minutes she was sure he didn’t know what to think. “ I never doubted that you didn’t trust me Kuro, however I will do my best to come back quickly this time. Give me two weeks to avoid capture or being found out this time around and in that time on this day again I shall return to the inn that is located not but a mile from here. You can find me there and we can chat until you can no longer speak if that is what you wish for, I can only stay but a night or two at most before I have to leave and wander away from here once again”

He replied with a slight laugh, attempting to lighten the mood. [atrb=cellpadding,0,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,435,true][atrb=vAlign,top] ❝ YOU'RE SOMETHING DEADLY THAT I JUST CAN'T PUT MY FINGER ON. ❞ WORDS 309 TAGS characters NOTES write anything you want here! | [atrb=vAlign, top] Slowly but surely the boy was beginning to pull himself back together, and barring any more life altering revelations his demeanor would soon return to a similar state pre-reunion with Natsuki. After receiving the kiss on his cheek he attempted to rise but noticed that the woman still had a rather decent grip on his entire body. Part of him was more than happy to remain in this embrace though another side knew that if the two continued to hug things out that the Genin would not want to leave her side... ever. Would he leave the village, of course not, but he would once again try and talk Natsuki into coming back and telling her side of the story.
He didn't want to wait two weeks to see her again because if she had decided to leave so easily the first time around what would stop her from doing so this time? If Kuro were to show at that inn and Natsuki didn't it would surely cause extreme effects to the boy's psyche. He'd probably devote the remainder of his life to dragging her back to Kiri, and while that would make him a valuable asset to the village it would surely kill his charming personality and replace it with something much more sinister and dead inside.
Alas, he would not be able to say no to Natsuki; he loved her too much. If two weeks was all she needed before answering all of his questions then perhaps Kuro could handle it. Of course he would be counting each and every day to the hour awaiting the moment when he could venture to that inn and see his dear friend once more. "Two weeks? Ok, I think I can wait that long."

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,5,true][atrb=style, width: 400px; bTable; ] [atrb=style, padding: -5px; height: 400px;] It was time.
She tried to her best to force her brain to work and yet she found that all the willpower she possessed refused to make her ligaments move. Her heart was heavy and torn between the thoughts that raged between each other, coming back had always been her plan even if she hadn’t have met Kuro along the way. Now that she had however she wondered with all her might if the boy could actually play it off as if nothing had ever happened of if they would catch on to why he was acting so strangely. Two weeks was enough time to see if anything changed in the amount of shinobi in the area or not, and it was long enough to give the boy a bit more time to think about things. Though she knew that if it came down to it Natsuki would just abandoned him in order to protect him, after running for so long she had found that her sense of loyalty to those around her was easy to throw away. Not because she no longer felt anything for them but because in the long run it served to protect them a whole lot more then just that silly feeling of knowing the other person was there.
If she came when the danger was ever present she knew that Kuro would be branded right along with her, even if he hadn’t known about her reasons for leaving. She was gone and had never come back and such a thing should have been reported regardless. The moment his mark of silence had left his lips he had become guilty of hiding her, she would not see him forced to run like she had been. “ silly child if you cannot stand two weeks when you have been sitting here for year without me I should think you had grown soft. “ she refused to let him utter a word of rebuttal, she quickly released him and with no effort appeared beside him on her feet. She was going to make this as painless as she possibly could, if she could utter out a quick goodbye and move on then he would have no time to react or come after her. “ be a good boy for me ok “ she refused to utter any words of love or missing him, even the word goodbye felt like a betrayal. Unable to stand it anymore she quickly jumped back, landing on the dirt path once more she turned and quickly fled the scene.
