It was early in the morning and the black haired cannibal was sitting in front of a fire he had made a while ago while cooking a liver and a heart on a metal skewer. Of course anyone who had saw this picture would just assume it was a deer heart and liver. Shou was a cannibal for more than twenty five years and has been keeping it a secret since the moment he took his first bite of human flesh. Sighing softly to himself, Shou turned the skewer gently to cook the other side of the organs. It has been a few hours since Kakuzu left to turn in his recent bounty. Shou was now use to being left alone while the other went off to get his money. Shou enjoyed the time he had to himself and it gave him time to cook his food. Shou was a bit secretive about his cannibalism and even with Kakuzu knowing, he still didn’t want him watching him cook the human organs.
Sighing to himself, Shou watched the flames flicker gently. Shou then thought about how he received these organs. Kakuzu was always nice and let him have his own fun way with the bodies after they were dead. Shou normally just cut open the chest and ripped the ribs out of the way and retrieve the organs he needed, but this one different. Shou got creative with this bounty since he had been accused of raping several woman as well as killing several shinobi. Before the man had died Shou was able to pin the man to a tree and had cut his throat open. Shou started at the back of one ear and cut clear under his chin to the other ear. From their Shou cut down on either side of the first and ending cut down to the shoulder. From there Shou ripped the skin off of his neck. Once his neck muscles were eposed Shou used his favorite knife and cut himself an opening to the neck bone. One it was in view Shou started hacking at the boen until it was cracked enough. During this whole time the man was awak and screaming. Once it was cracked enough Shou gave it a hard side punch. That one hit broke the neck killing the man. After that Shou did he usual thing and took the organs.
”That was a fun kill,” smirked Shou as he pulled his organs off the fire and blew on them gentle. But before he could take a bite out of the heart the sound of footsteps came to his ears and the ruffling of leaves.

The wind felt so perfect. It graced his skin, giving him the utmost sense of comfort, as if he was meant to be a avian creature soaring through the sky with the wind blowing between his feathers. Yet, he didn't have any of those things so the sensation felt even better. Hoping from one tree to the next, then sprinting forward, and hoping to another tree and another trying to get more air time between landings.
One would ask why this half-masked individual was breezing through the land at such speed, and that would be answered by a simple word: Boredom. Despite being with his companions not too far from here, he decided to "take a walk" as some would say to clear his mind, and find them at a designated rendezvous in a few days. There was much that will occur in his life after those few days of peaceful breezing through the forest. He had to be prepared both physical and mentally. What was going to happen next in this mystery trek will surely have an impact on his conscious.
It all happened when he saw smoke appear from a nearby location, one caused by a fire - cooking fire, it seemed - the smell of freshly cooked meat made that fake prevalent in the air. He wasn't the innately curious type, but he felt as if fate pulled him towards the direction of the smoke, as if his body was moving of its own accord ignoring the orders of its personal master. In seconds, he was already in the shadows watching a man roast what seems to be a liver and what seems to be a heart. Hm? Is that...a deer heart? He's heard of some individuals heating deer heart, but he has never personally tried it due to the distinctive disgust he gets from picturing a heart. It was then that a bird chirped in his direction rather loudly in an attempt to scare an intruder - himself - near the nest. Shit, he's gonna notice.

Shou then heart the violent chirping of a mother bird. Sighing to himself the black haired shinobi stuck the skewer into the ground before pushing himself onto his feet. Reaching into his side pocket Shou pulled out his Bowie knife that had a slight curve to the blade. The blade itself was silver in color with black flames were printed on the dull side of the blade. The handle was made of hard steal with a sharp end on the butt of the hilt for the purpose of light stabs. Flipping the knife up into the air a couple of times he stared at the forest in front of him. ”Are you going to come out or do I need to go in and get you?” asked Shou as he rubbed the back of his head while his other hand gripped tightly to the knife ready for an attack that might or might not come.
Grumbling to himself he turned away from whoever was in the forest and went to pick up his skewer. The skewer itself would be a very deadly weapon with an arrow like head that could make its way through flesh with ease. Bringing it up to eye level Shou took a large bite out of the heart ripping the flesh off the metal skewer. Smiling to himself Shou enjoyed the taste of the heart. It had been a couple days since he had any decent food, at least in his book, to eat. Shou enjoyed the moments when he ate the flesh of others which at times sickened Shou if he thought about it too much. Chewing the meaty flesh Shou let his eyes wander back to the forest.
”I won’t eat you, you know!” called Shou as he turned his attention back to his food. Well that wasn’t completely true since Shou would kill and eat anyone who either pisses him off or he sees as being vile or evil. Reaching his head forward again he took another large chunk out of the heart leaving some blood to drip down the corner of his mouth.

The bird had given away his presence - careless. A shinobi should always be aware of their surroundings and eliminate any possibility of an alerter before stalking the shadows. Gah! The rules of the ANBU force stumbled upon his mind like a drunken man stumbling to gather its bearings. It was seemed to easy to keep it but so stuck in one's mind that it was hard to lose it. On many occasions could he say that these teachings given to him by those who took away his will in the past helped him in the most profound and beneficial way both on the battlefield and off, but it's something he wanted to forget and create himself. Simply for the freedom of knowing it was your rules you followed.
Back to the situation at hand, it seemed his presence has been found out and now he was deciding whether he should take to the other direction or talk to this individual scarfing down a deer heart like it was a meat kabob - nasty. It did intrigue him, but he was not one curious enough to put him in uncharted danger. It didn't help with the man's statement of not wanting to eat him. The personality profile he was developing on this guy out of pure habit already was turning to a negative point. He kept asking himself whether he should make his presence known to this individual, but then he realized what not only his body but mind wanted - to have a conversation with this individual. Why would he come to this conclusion? Cause he had not moved an inch since his presence were found. He had the freedom to choose, and his choice was now apparent: Interact with this man.
He jumped down with a quick leap, standing upright immediately with his eyes fixated on the man's movements. His sharingan was not flared, but he was indeed prepared and not one to lower his guard in such a situation.
"I've shown myself."

Blinking to himself Shou quickly rubbed the blood that his dripped down the side of his mouth onto his forehead before turning his attention back to the other. Standing before him was a youthful silver haired male. He probably was only in his early twenties. But what striked him the most was the white silver hair. Shou really hadn’t met many shinobi in this world with that kind of hair so to Shou it had to be a Hatake if not at least a decedent who didn’t know. Shou was very well versed in the clans in Konoha as well as clans in other villages. For ten years Shou spend his time collecting intell on everyone who had power. No one was going to escape from his radar. Smirking to himself, Shou stabbed the skewer back into the ground with the heart almost gone with only a medium size chunk hanging off of it.
Shou knew the way he ate wasn’t very proper but at this moment he had nothing to eat it with so he thought screw it, he was hungry. ”I can see that. If I may ask are you a Hatake descendent because that hair reminds me of one of my friends who was also a Hatake,” smirked Shou. This was a true fact; Shou did have a friend who was a Hatake back in the day. He was a tad older than him but Shou was able to become in superior in a short few years. The two had a good relationship and he had been there after the death of his son. Shou of course can’t remember the man’s name now since he blocked out most of the past after the death of his wife. But Shou just gave the other a smile and leaned back slightly on his feet.
Unknown to most was that Shou was always on the defensive even if it didn’t look like it. Shou had mastered the art of deception to make people feel at ease around him and to make his enemies drop their guards. Shou had learned this from the ten years as being a rogue. This habit wasn’t going to change even now with a partner in hand.

For some odd reason, as he looked at the individual before him, he got somewhat a push in the forefront of his memory, something as if he had seen his face before, but where? That face isn't one that someone would forget so quickly, and especially since it raised a red flag rather quickly, almost in instinct his body took a step back to gather some distance. However the individual kept his casualness and seem to not have considered him an threat in the slightest - interesting.
Hm? Hatake? His eyes were perceptive, and which also means he has distinctive knowledge about the Hatake's genetic trait of always bearing a white haired child, which can only stem from being familiar with the clan itself. This guy's face - he's definitely saw it during his years in the village, now he's sure. "I am of the Hatake Clan. Born and Raised in Konohagakure." His voice sounded emotionless, an odd tone he rarely exhume, but comes when he's either in a fight or deducing something about someone or something. He was definitely deducing something about the man before him, but it best to be a bit more direct in these situations - never know what one may say or do.
"What clan do you reign from?" A question asked by the inquiry given. A common response in the conversational passes. His nose sniffed the air, and smelled the scent of fresh blood, most likely coming from the deer heart cooked by the man or the deer itself. It still bothered Sōra a bit, the smell of the heart churning his stomach little by little, but the smell of blood - something he was quite familiar with - didn't have any affect. He did have a mild curiosity as to how deer heart tasted, perhaps he may ask this individual - whose name he does not know - for a piece simply for curiosity sake.

Shou smirked as his assumptions was said to be true. It was hard for one to hide those traits. Walking away from the other he quickly picked up the skewer and ripped the last chunk off and chewed it gently before swallowing it. All that was left now was the still warm liver that hadn’t become as bloody as the heart but had cooked over nicely like a small little steak. But then his attention was brought back as the other asked him what clan he was from. ”I come from no clan. I stand on my own,” replied Shou coolly. Of course this was a partial lie since he was an Uzumaki descendent but Shou didn’t feel like sharing that today. Shou hadn’t told anyone of his Uzumaki blood that pumped through his veins since he didn’t want people knowing about his abilities. Clicking his tongue softly to himself he brought the skewer up again and tore of a small chunk from the liver.
The liver wasn’t as bloody or disturbing looking since it had cooked over to make itself look like a piece of normally cooked meat. Chewing the meat in his mouth slowly he let himself savoring the taste. ”So what would at Hatake be doing, roaming around these parts. A tad far from home don’t you think,” chuckled Shou as he turned to look at the other after finishing eating the piece of meat he had eaten. Shou and Kakuzu who finished a bounty in Kumo and had decided to stay in the Frost Country for a few days until another job popped up. Closing his eyes Shou thought about the past few months.
Shou has always been on his own, since the moment he left his home in Konoha and this would be the first time in ten years that he had someone he could rely on for support. Kakuzu was going to be the perfect partner for Shou and hopefully he will be able to keep under the radar with the help of the other for the next few months. Shou needed to complete his agenda soon or the time will pass for the time to strike. Sighing softly Shou combed his fingers through his hair as he slowly opened his eyes.

The man replied after he scarfed down some of his heart meat as if it was chicken. His words were interpreted by Sōra as a man who had not needed the help of a bloodline to support himself. This slightly rallied his anger as it brought back memories of those who would tell him that he was relying on his birthright and thus was weak, and he would always reply: Without my clans, i would not be who i am today - the winner. Or so it would go during his fights in the chunin exams. The memory fully trickled back into the back of his mind when the man took a bite of his - what seems to be liver - and chewed on it savoring the bloody favor. Disgusting. At least from his point of view.
The inquiry made from the man caused Soura to slightly pause, looking at him with his normally piercing eyes, "Home?" He questioned, in truth, he hadn't realized where his home is, but he was sure that it was not Konohagakure. Albeit most of his family - mother & half-brother - is there, it's not something he would consider a "home," nor would he want to. His home is the sky, the rivers, the oceans, the trees, the birds, and the bees. The entire world is his home, if he had to select. Freedom is his own. The place where he feels more comfortable and safe is a place that can not be found on a map nor by travel, but by mental mind-set.
"I'm never far from Home, and Home isn't where my Clan is." He replied, almost forgetting about the situation at hand and engaging in his own personal mind-set. He took a step backwards, "Before i take my leave, i feel obligated to inform you that you remind me of someone." He stated. "Why?" He said dubiously.

Shou tilted his head to the side as he noticed the other’s change in tone at the question. So he wasn’t in alliance with Konoha anymore. Interesting. Shou could tell it wasn’t for purpose like his own maybe for more personal nothing violent and to no have a giant bounty on his head. Chuckling to himself he walked over to a tree and strapped the skewer into it as he looked up at the sky. The sun was ready to set and that informed Shou that his partner would be home soon. A Smile crossed his face. Shou didn’t mind being alone but like a dog he was always happy to see a familiar face. Sighing softly he rocked on his heels gently before turning his attention back to the other male. Of course his face was familiar if this guy had any authorization as a shinobi back in Konoha he would have stumbled upon his file at least a couple of times. Shou has been the ghost of all the bounties. No one could pin point him because of his constant change in appearance.
”Try to think back to your times in Konoha. You’ll remember where you have seen me. I promise you,” chuckled Shou as he let himself sit beside the fire and stared into its red and orange glow. Shou wasn’t going to give away who he truly was just in case this guy was thinking of going bounty hunter on his ass. Shou wouldn’t mind a fight but he preferred to just relax and go on his merry way. Shou liked living under the radar made life easier. Kakuzu was the perfect cover since no one from any other major village was really after him. Over the past few months Shou had learned the other had been from Taki and that his village much like Shou’s did betrayed him. ”Have a safe trip Hatake-kun and once you find out who I am you are welcome to come and find me again,” called Shou as he watched the other leave.

His response seemed to have had an impact on the man, chuckling to himself and placing a skewer into the tree and his eyes took to the skies - a sign of a man deep in thought. At least that was Soura's assumption of it all. A smile on his face confirmed his suspicions, even if he wasn't directly thinking about this conversation, something caused this man to think of something happy. Hm. Is it possible that he's a bounty hunter and from his previous comment, he might be seeking his head? Taking another step back, he continued to watch the man's movements. The man's comment tickled his memory a bit, but he was sure Kuru - his friend - would have better intel on this individual, so he kept his appearance in his mind to later show it to him via a Genjutsu.
"I have a feeling whether i find out or not, our fate is interwined to meet again. Call it...a knack feeling." He said, his voice calmly dropping in volume as he disappeared in a puff of smoke, his shunshin taking him far away from that place and back to his original route. That was truly an interesting meeting. One that will most likely affect his and that man's destinies. Be it enemies or friends, he knew, they were going to meet once more. It was in this thought that he had remembered where he had saw this man's face before, but it was a rather old picture...ANBU Files - both of past and present. However, he could not remember the contents of said file, and so, kept his sprint going forwards, feeling the wind brush against his skin, and now...where was he going to go now? He had to meet Kuru in Tsuchi no Kuni, it seemed he wanted to find a Bounty of someone...Kin Ringo, was he name? Or some name similar to that and claim it for the currency. Let's see where this takes them.
