[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true]you broke me from the very first night i'd love you 'til the day that i die i'm far too comfortable this time i loved you from the very first night you broke me 'til the day that i die i'm far too obvious this time when you hide, hide inside that body but just remember that when i touch you the more you shake, the more you give away we're far from comfortable this time cold, now we're so cold, mine, and you're not mine, say never we're far from obvious this time { so fall into my eyes and fall into my lies } -- It was the dreaded beginning of another wasted day. Tera stumbled out of bed shortly before noon, nursing a pounding headache, and before doing anything else she headed into the kitchen to find her number one remedy for hangovers - more alcohol. She felt almost human after getting a little saké in her system, though not at all energized. There were dark bags under her eyes, which stood out against her pale, sallow skin; her hair was a mess even after she dragged a brush through it, and it took forever for her to find a clean outfit among all the dirty ones. She needed to do her laundry, but couldn't muster up the energy it took to put in that much effort.
Tera set the saké bottle down on the cleanest part of the wooden table in her kitchen and went rummaging in the cabinets. She hardly ever ate much, but right now her stomach was growling. Probably because she didn't remember eating anything the day before. What was the point, really, in even doing something so basic as eating properly? It wasn't like she was going to anything but curl up on her couch, drink, and contemplate her miserable life.
After her father died, Tera gave up on life, on living, and settled for surviving until someone came around and killed her. She wouldn't off herself - too proud, or too cowardly, to do the deed, depending on how you looked at it. What was there left in life for her? She was a wanted criminal, a killer - not just a killer, a murderer who took so many innocent lives for the sake of proving herself to a dead man. And where did that leave her in life? Where? Alone, drowning in drink in a shack in the middle of nowhere, wallowing in sorrows she didn't even know she had.
Tera craved redemption, but was too afraid to seek it out. She didn't want to live this way, but she didn't know how to claw her way up and out of the hole she'd fallen into. What she needed was help - a hand to hold, to guide her away from all this - but where to find it? {words} 375 {tags} natsuki {notes} outfit{lyrics} cold (but i'm still here) by evans blue{credit} akemi of btn |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,5,true][atrb=style, width: 400px; bTable; ] [atrb=style, padding: -5px; height: 400px;] The flock of sheep she liked to call her posse had some how found their way to yet another tavern in yet another place. Just like before it never failed that they found a new place to drink with every new village, it also meant that with this new place they could most likely come up with a new accident to befall the covered man that traveled with them. This time around their poor Ayaki had been a father and loving husband whose wife and new born had been killed by bandits, Ayaki after being forced to watch his wife’s rape had tried to fight back but instead they had beat and cut him until they had thought he was dead, no Ayaki was fueled by rage and that was what kept him going and now to this day he still travels the faces of those bandits burned into his mind. This new story had really stolen the hearts of those in the tavern and had gotten everyone a few free rounds, enough so that by the time they were done half the tavern had already passed out. It gave her the ability to slip away and find herself a place to lodge that wouldn’t ask questions about the strange girl that would appear where a clocked young thing had been. She had learned of a nice little place where she could bathe at and found that today she was going to play her natural gender. She had picked out a nice simple outfit something that wouldn’t make her stand out. She was going to take this time to explore the village they were going to call home. They would be passed out for most of the day anyways and this would give her some much needed time to herself. Her thoughts this time however were mostly going to travel to kuro and her promise to him.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true]you broke me from the very first night i'd love you 'til the day that i die i'm far too comfortable this time i loved you from the very first night you broke me 'til the day that i die i'm far too obvious this time when you hide, hide inside that body but just remember that when i touch you the more you shake, the more you give away we're far from comfortable this time cold, now we're so cold, mine, and you're not mine, say never we're far from obvious this time { so fall into my eyes and fall into my lies } -- Tera sighed. There didn't appear to be anything edible in the house at all, unless she wanted to try the can of soup that had been sitting in the back of the cabinet for who knows how long. It was covered in a layer of dust, and she was fairly sure that a spider had begun weaving a web over it. Hmm. Best not to mess with that. So she would have to find money - if she even had any left - and go grocery shopping. Wonderful. She hadn't even planned on leaving the house today, but if she wanted to eat, she didn't have a choice.
Tera was sure there was money somewhere... but she doubted her ability to find it. She had convinced her father to buy her the little maneki-neko jar which she stored her ryo in when she was ten, and since it was one of the only presents she had ever gotten from the man, she had kept it even after all this time. But where was it? Tera glanced forlornly at the layers and layers of things that lined the kitchen counters and covered the table. It would take a lot of digging to find that jar. But eventually she found it, nestled between the sugar canister and a bundle of letters her father had received from people that she had never bothered to go through or throw away. Within the little cat jar, she actually found a reasonable wad with fairly large denominations on the bills. She tucked the money away, glanced at herself in the mirror to determine whether or not she was presentable - she was, just barely - and then left the house.
The first thing she noticed was that the sun was a lot brighter than she remembered it being. Seriously. Ouch. Did it have to try to blind an unsuspecting person as soon as she walked out the door? Grumbling under her breath, Tera cast her magenta gaze to the grassy ground, and started the walk into town. Thankfully, the tall, leafy trees blocked out most of sun's light.
She arrived in town shortly after - having walked at a quick pace, because she didn't want to be out all day - and was still watching the ground instead of the land around her. And so, much to her surprise, she walked right into someone - probably knocking them down due to her size. "Oh, I'm so sorry!" She offered her hand to the person, who turned out to be a woman with gorgeous (and really long) pink hair. Someone who wasn't from around here. That made her a little nervous, but she couldn't just run off now. {words} 453 {tags} natsuki {notes} outfit{lyrics} cold (but i'm still here) by evans blue{credit} akemi of btn |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,5,true][atrb=style, width: 400px; bTable; ] [atrb=style, padding: -5px; height: 400px;] She hummed a cheery little tune as she headed for the little pond like place she had heard so much about, Natsuki liked baths more then anything in the world really. She wasn’t sure what it was but just being naked in the water was freeing and she liked to pretend she was a mermaid. A silly imagination that had started when she was younger and had just never left her thoughts as she grew up, if the girl could have possessed a tail it would have been a dream come true. She would have searched the world if there had been any rumors of someone possessing a jutsu or ability that could create such a thing. If she had truly wanted to the girl was sure she could have come up with a solution or technique to posses the ability herself, however the work involved seemed to great and she was keen with accepting it as a dream she could never complete. She was quickly knocked to the ground however, having been lost in her dreamland she was unable to notice or catch herself and as she lay in the dirt she couldn’t help but find it slightly well ironic. Looking up as words suddenly filled the air Natsuki found herself face to face with a girl, a rather pale and to skinny looking girl, who Natsuki almost assumed was a ghost. Yet another dream of dreams the girl had thought of once upon a time.
“ oh no need to be sorry I want paying any attention” she took the girls hand still wondering if her own would pass right through it or not. When it didn’t and she was able to help herself up Natsuki smiled “ guess neither of us have half a mind today” she chuckled slightly and picked the belongings she had dropped on the ground up.

Tera was quick to kneel and help the woman pick up everything she had dropped. "Hmm... if we put our brains together, would we make a whole?" It was her attempt at a joke, but it fell flat to her own ears, so she didn't image that the other woman would find it very funny either. She did manage to crack a smile, however, and hoped that it didn't look too forced.
"Are you from around here?" she asked, even though she was almost positive that the woman wasn't. Surely she would have remembered this face if she'd seen it before - or at least the hair, how many people have thigh-length pink hair? "I.. I don't mean to pry. I was just curious... you don't look familiar, s-so I was wondering..." A light blush colored her cheeks. This 'communicating with people' thing was difficult - far too difficult for her taste. But if she had any hope of eventually being normal - as normal as a person could get, anyway - she figured she had to learn sometime, and sooner was better than later, right? Better that it be this pretty pink-haired woman than some strange man, at any rate.
"If you are new here... I could maybe... show you around a little bit?" she proposed, though she was unsure of exactly why she had offered. Perhaps she felt drawn to this woman - who certainly didn't know who she was, who seemed nicer than most folks - for some reason she didn't completely understand. Or perhaps her reckless side, the side encouraged by the saké she drank, was trying to take over - to say the hell with being cautious, because it surely wasn't going to get her anywhere. {words} 301 {tags} natsuki {notes} outfit{lyrics} cold (but i'm still here) by evans blue{credit} akemi of btn |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,5,true][atrb=style, width: 400px; bTable; ] [atrb=style, padding: -5px; height: 400px;] She was trying to be friendly and it made Natsuki feel a bit better about the small situation that had happened, though the girls jokes were just terrible. Natsuki would never let the girl know that but she smiled a bit anyways to make her feel less awkward, they both knew it was bad and telling her so wouldn’t help either of them. The question was easy to answer and yet Natsuki paused to debate her answer “ a few of the men I travel with have family here so we came to visit them, though if they don’t get out of this drunken stupor I doubt will see anyone they know. Well if they can recall names and faces after the amount of alcohol they have ingested” Natsuki sighed her head shaking back and forth as she thought about them all over the floor in the tavern.
Natsuki waved a hand at her as she apologized for prying, it wasn’t something Natsuki was going to blame her for she was after all not from around here and if this girl was familiar with people of the land lying to her was just going to make it awkward between the two of them. It had been such a long time since Natsuki had talked with another girl in such a friendly manner, she had almost forgotten what it was like to be a girl and having such relaxing time with another. The proposal was acceptable enough for Natsuki to actually think it over for a small time, being shown around couldn’t hurt however she really wanted to find this bathing place and relax within the water “ I was actually on my way to a bathing spot to relax, if you want to tag along I could always use the company ”

A slight blush colored her cheeks as the thought crossed her mind, but she didn't dare say anything. Most likely, the woman would take it as an insult or an accusation and would get upset with her, even though that wasn't at all how she meant it, and this attempt at actual conversation would go right down the drain. Instead, she chose to comment on the part of the pinkette's explanation that she knew well: alcohol. "They're... getting drunk in the morning?" Not that she hadn't done that before.
"Oh, that sounds nice." Tera agreed. Pretty much all she did was lay around the house and drink, but she wouldn't call that relaxing. It was more like drowning her sorrows in liquor until she couldn't even remember her own name, let alone anyone else's. But, again, that wasn't something she was going to say to this girl. Sure, she wasn't exactly an expert on social interaction - not at all - but she knew that there were some things you just didn't say to people, especially if you were trying to make friends and maybe have a good time with someone. One of those things was definitely 'I drink the days away until I black out because I hate my life.'
"Ah, so what's your name?" she asked. "I'm Amaterasu - er, Tera for short." She hoped this lady had never heard her name, or that little introduction could cause a whole ton of trouble. {words} 318 {tags} natsuki {notes} outfit{lyrics} cold (but i'm still here) by evans blue{credit} akemi of btn |

As Natsuki thought the girl had taken the comment the wrong way least she hadn’t called Natsuki a whore and suggested that she had slept with all of them. It was hard to explain to the people her relationship with them as she couldn’t exactly go about telling people that the group she was with didn’t actually know she was a girl but that they though she was in fact a boy and that in secret she was a nuke from kiri and that these men were her cover up. No that was no the type of thing that Natsuki ever liked to explain to anyone “ What? No no no Sorry, they spent all night getting drunk so they will spend the morning if not most of the day asleep or to drunk to move or open their eyes.” she laughed at the last part having seen it happen before. The bath was going to be nice of course because nothing was going to stop her from having a nice time, she was going to find the place and just relax and have a nice little time washing away the memories of the past things and spend the remaining time embracing the new exciting future she was still planning for herself. There was so much that could happen and lots of places to explore “ I plan to spend the day completely relaxed and calm no distractions no worries just peace and tranquility” she told the girl as a smile plastered over Natsuki’s face. Names , oh they had come to that part already ? Red flags jumped from every corner of her mind as the girl spoke part of her name if Natsuki had still been loyal she would have knifed the girl before another word could have been spoken. “ you can call me Suki, so Tera would you be up for a relaxing day ?”

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true]you broke me from the very first night i'd love you 'til the day that i die i'm far too comfortable this time i loved you from the very first night you broke me 'til the day that i die i'm far too obvious this time when you hide, hide inside that body but just remember that when i touch you the more you shake, the more you give away we're far from comfortable this time cold, now we're so cold, mine, and you're not mine, say never we're far from obvious this time { so fall into my eyes and fall into my lies } -- "Oh.. I guess that makes more sense, doesn't it?" Tera laughed - mostly at herself for the assumption. Not everyone woke up, started drinking, and didn't stop until they passed out. Ehe, not that that was something she was going to admit to - she could tell that the woman didn't think too highly of those men, and probably wouldn't be near as nice to her if she admitted to being somewhat of a drunk. She seemed like a woman free of the power of vices - for the most part, probably - and so she didn't have much tolerance for anyone that wasn't.
"I bet you don't get opportunities to really relax often, huh? What with the rowdy, drunken men and all." Tera offered her a weak smile, hoping that the woman didn't take that the wrong way - it would be easy to misinterpret her comment in a perverted way, if you were someone that thought that way... Which she imagined this woman probably was - she just couldn't wrap her mind around the idea that there could be a single woman with a bunch of guys and it wouldn't turn out perverted. Of course, Tera didn't know much about.. that kind of thing to begin with, so she was only going off assumptions... Perhaps it was best if she forgot about that topic. Preferably forever.
"Suki, that's a pretty name. It's nice to meet you." Tera hoped that nothing went wrong, as things were so often wont to do - it would be so nice to spend a day with another woman, someone that she surmised was probably around her age, and just have a nice, relaxing time. "I would. It's not often that I get to spend time with other girls." Throughout her whole life... she'd really only known a few women - not counting her mother - and all of them had been either fearsome nukenin or whores... or both. {words} 331 {tags} natsuki {notes} outfit{lyrics} cold (but i'm still here) by evans blue{credit} akemi of btn |
