It was late in the afternoon and it seemed to be a calm serine day.A young man was running through the forest causing panic to fill the air. On his tail was a dark haired light skinned man. Then suddenly the man who was on the run tripped on an uprooted tree root. The man crumpled to the ground and before he could even react a kunai was smashed into the back of neck. The man choked and squirmed but as he did the young man twisted the kunai deeper into the man’s neck. A deadly glint of blood lust filled those blue eyes as he watched the blood flow out of the wound and down onto the ground. The murder gave one last twist causing the man beneath him to gasp before his eyes rolled to the back of his eyes.
”Never get’s old,” chuckled the dark haired man as he ripped the kunai out and gave it a gentle lick. "B-. Interesting.” Pulling out a white cloth he wiped the kunai clean and placed it back into his kunai holster. Grabbing the man by the shoulder he pushed him over onto his back. The young man lowered himself into a deep squat placing one elbow on his knee and resting his chin on the top of his closed fist of his hand.
This man murderous man is Shou Mizuno or as known to most of the Suijin Kita the Water God of the North. Shou then pulled out a small knife and gently placed the blade on the man’s chest and pulled down. The knife cut through the fabric with ease and once the shirt had fallen open Shou placed the knife to his lips and debated on where he should start. Grinning Shou placed the knife right above the collar bone and cut down to the bottom ribs and then he cut down in an angel so the full cut was in a Y shape.
Once the skin was cut down to the bone Shou pulled the skin back revealing the bones of the rib cage. ”My favorite part,” chuckled Shou as he cracked his knuckles before grabbing either side of the ribs he pulled hard ripping the rib cape open. It wasn’t hard since the ribs were already cracked from the brutal attack Shou gave him an hour or so ago. Once the ribs were ripped open Shou was given the view of his prize.
Everything in his body was still moving slightly but Shou knew he was as dead as any dead man. Shou let his knees fall to the ground as he leaned over the body studying the organs. The man was in good health by the look of his organs and would have probably lived to the age of ninety or so but stupidity is what got most people killed. Smirking Shou reached in and tugged gently. Shou pulled out his hand to reveal the slightly beating heart of the man in his hand. Shou loved this feeling; the feeling of holding someone else’s slowly dying heart in his hands. Bringing the heart to his lips he kissed it gently. After kissing it the heart stopped moving. ”Dead man gone,” whispered Shou as he gave the heart a gentle lick.

His left arm wouldn't stop convulsing today. It was like it was filled with a mind of anticipation all of its own. Like it was excited for this new kill that was bound to occur and just couldn't sit still because of this new found excitement. His arm's constant convulsing had also made his fingers twitch uncontrollably, and as a result it was beginning to get on his nerves. Honestly his arm just couldn't be a good little limb and listen to the brain that should be its master. No it was just an annoying little limb that always disobeyed him.
With his right hand slowly reaching up, he would pull back the sleeve covering the left arm as he extended the twitching limb outward before him. If the limb was going to convulse as much as it did then there was no sense in letting it continue to bother him. Stopping in his tracks for a moment he watched as the skin around the middle of his forearm where the arm seemed to be stitched to his body began to ripple as if thousands of tiny snakes squirmed beneath the surface. Larger and larger the ripples would grow before soon many tendril-like threads exploded forth from between the stitches.
He lost good time letting his arm calm down, however it was worth it in his mind if it would stop irritating him for several hours. Passing through the threshold of where grassland ended and forest began he heard a distinct sound like someone screaming from pain. Immediately be broke out into a stealthy run using the branch system up in the trees as his pathway through the forest rather than the grassy floor. He didn't find the source of the cry right away as it seemed that the source was constantly on the move, however he did find blood splatters in the area where he arrived as well as obvious clues as to where he had been and where he was going. However he also noticed something else, clues that said, whomever had been hurt was not alone.
Raising up his guard, Kakuzu leaped through the trees following the path of which he was certain the man, judging by the scream he had heard earlier, must have gone. However when he did finally did catch up with the man all seemed to be far too late. The man, now identified as he whom had been Kakuzu's original prey, was dead by the hands of some other man, one Kakuzu did not recognize.
Kakuzu couldn't see what the man was doing as he approached from behind finally dropping from the trees, however what he could tell was that it was gruesome work. "Having fun with another man's prey?" To the other man his voice would likely seem as though it came from no where albeit being filled with what may also seem to be a challenge.

Shou closed his eyes as heard the soft thud of someone landing on the ground behind him. Chuckling softly at the other’s comment Shou used his free hand to push himself up, ripping the heart out of the body as he did. ”I’m sorry. Didn’t know he already had a target on his back. You can have him if you want but I can I keep this,” answered Shou as he licked his red stained lips but his teeth were stained red with blood and blood dripped from his canines. Shou held up the heart slightly to show that this was the object he was talking about. Out of all the human organs he preferred the heart. The last few hearts he had cut out weren’t as healthy as this one and it would be a shame to let this man take the heart without using it properly.
If the man answered yes or no Shou didn’t care. Reaching into his pouch he removed his ice scroll. Snapping it open with the flick of his wrist Shou fell to his knees placing the scroll down gently before placing the heart on the sealing scripture. Performed a few hand seals the heart slowly melted into the scroll leaving nothing but a blood stain. Biting his thumb gently he smeared his own blood on top of the scroll before writing a number down in kanji. Once he did that all the blood melted into the scroll and disappeared. Sighing softly Shou rolled up the scroll and placed it back into his pouch. ”Sorry I left him a bit broken I hope that doesn’t affect anything,” smirked Shou as he looked over his shoulder at his work. It was quite a sick picture. The man lied there with his arms spread out and his skin of his chest peeled off. His ribs were pretty much cracked in half and pointed upwards. Blood stained the white bones from where Shou ripping out the heart.
”If I may ask. What has this guy gotten himself into for a bounty hunter to be on his ass? You are a bounty hunter, correct?” asked Shou who was curious about this fact. He had come after this guy because he was abusing his wife and kids and no one was doing anything about it. Shou had been treating the wife and her children for the past month after a brutal beating. The wife ended up with 3 fractures in her rips, a broken wrist and a sever bruising to her chest. The children all ended up with bad bruising and a couple of sprains. Shou didn't take abuse lightly which was the reason for his brutality with this man. To what he had learned this man had been beating on his wife after a year of marriage and went after the kids when they were five or six. People would say it was the amount of booze his drank but Shou knew this man was going after them for a purpose and the alcohol just made it easier for him to do it.

No reaction showed on his face as he watched the man rise up and turn. His face was stained with what Kakuzu assumed to be the man's blood and in his hand he held was Kakuzu deemed to be the most important organ other than the brain, the man's heart. The man certainly seemed gracious enough, allowing Kakuzu to at least take the body in exchange for the heart. Sure, Kakuzu didn't care, the heart was useless to him anyway once it stopped beating. "Smart man. Go ahead I don't care for the heart if its stopped beating." He moved past the strange man kneeling next to the dead shinobi.
"Pfft, wounds such as these? Child's play." Kakuzu remarked to the man's comment about the bounty being too broken. Reaching forward he snapped away the bones that would only work to get in his was before looking back to the other man. "I take it you're the type that values the organs of others. For what I don't care, however is there anything else you want? The more you take the less weight I have to carry." Kakuzu made his point valid. He didn't care when the other man took from the bounty as long as the man would still be recognizable at the collection office.
"Hmm..." He thought back to the wanted poster he had seen of this man at the question of the other. He tried to remember for what exactly he had gotten enough of a bounty for Kakuzu to even care to track him down. "First degree murder. Seems this one had killed a few loyal shinobi before fleeing from his home village." Standing up now he looked down at the dead man. If the other man wanted anything else Kakuzu would not stop him, however he couldn't help but find the scene rather appalling. It looked almost like a wild animal had torn this man open. He appeared almost like that one genin had back during his chuunin exam.
"What's your name?" He didn't speak with a curiosity in his voice, but perhaps that was only because by this point in time, he rarely ever spoke with any emotion in his voice other than anger whenever he snapped.

”Not in the sense you speak of. I don’t sell organs. I use them for better use,” explained Shou who wasn’t too sure if should share his diet secrets with the other man. Most people who found out about his style of eating freaked and Shou had to kill them. Shou didn’t like killing innocent people but if they threaten his identity and life style he has to protect himself over all others. Looking down at his hand he watched as the blood dripped off. ”But I would gladly take the rest of those organs off your hands. I will make very good use of them,” smirked Shou as he turned to look at the older male.
Shou was planning to make a good meal for himself tonight since this man would be the healthiest kill he has had in a while. Most of the people Shou went after ate badly and had horrible habits destroying their organs and making it very hard to eat. Shou like to have a healthy kill made eating them a lot easier on his tongue and a lot more delightful for his stomach. Shou then turned his eyes to the organs that he could see. The liver looked good, probably made a good steak, grill it for a little while and then making a delicious raspberry sauce for it. Shou licked his lips thinking about what he would do with the rest of those organs.
Shou was an excellent cook with human organs or with normal food he can cook almost anything and make it taste good. Shou had even fed human flesh to some of his enemies to see if they could tell the difference. As he could guess they didn’t notice at all. After Shou had told them they just ate their comrade they threw up and Shou got the upper hand and killed them. Shou sighed at the memory since he had hung their dead corpses right outside the Iwagakure gates over three years ago. Shou is stills surprised no one had found him yet but all well, their loss.
”Good thing I made him suffer a little more than I normally do with my targets,” chuckled Shou as he combed his fingers through his hair since the blood on his hands had dried out. Shou over the years became unfazed by the site of blood or death since he had killed enough people that it didn’t bother him anymore. Then the other asked the interesting question. His name?? Shou took a moment to think if he should tell him his true name or his fake name. Looking up at the setting sun Shou decided. ”I have many names but you can just all me Shou,” answered Shou with a smirk across his face. Shou wondered who this man was and studied his fore a second. He was dffently different just by his eyes and the way he carried himself. Shou could sense something was different to this guy. He was more like Shou than a normal person. ”So what’s your name mysterious hunter?” asked Shou as he look over the man again before looking into the other man’s eyes. Eye contact always shows respect and can give one incite to see if another is lying.

This shou, as he introduced himself, seemed more than happy to take any and all of the organs. That was perfectly fine and dandy, that simply meant the body would be quite a lot lighter for Kakuzu to carry to the bounty office. So Kakuzu would allow this Shou person to harvest his organs. As he did so Kakuzu sat down underneath a near by tree perhaps a little more than ten feet away. "Shou, hunh? Well met." Even though some called him a heartless bastard, Kakuzu still knew some manners, he was just extremely easy to piss of, as always.
Resting his forearms on his knees he let his gaze wander for a moment as he attempted to recall what land they were in as of this moment. If the man remembered correctly the landscape, which he did fairly well, there should be a waterfall directly to their north a few kilometers away. Based upon the fact that these lands reminded him of that he could only think of one land they could be in. A land that Kakuzu had abandoned many years before. "Taki no Kuni..." He spoke in a quite tone thinking to himself.
For the longest time, Shou's returned question as to his own identity went unanswered as Kakuzu seemed to be in what some would call a day dream. He remembered quite well despite his age, all of the missions he had performed for this land back in his younger days, but more than that he remembered the betrayal that had opened a rift in his chest that still remained there to this day. He would never forget that feeling. Lowering his head now he released a small silent sigh as his gaze fell back onto Shou and the matter at hand. "Kakuzu..." He finally returned, "I must say, out of the many people I have encountered... You're an odd one." Reaching up with his right hand he pushed his hood from his coat fully off of his head letting his slightly unkempt ebony hair finally see the light of day even if it was filtered through the tree leaves. Moving both of his hands now, he readjusted his hair, allowing it to fall over his shoulders instead of hide between his coat and his bare back. It was evident that Kakuzu had long since abandoned the idea of keeping his hair a certain length as it fell down to reach about the top of his abdomen.
With his hair now in the position he desired for the moment, he locked his own unique gaze with that of Shou. "So what is one such as yourself doing here, anyway? ...Other than the obvious."

Shou smirked as he watched the other walk over to a nearby tree and sat down beneath its shade. Shou then turned his attention back to his victim. Shou walked over to the man’s side and sat on his knees on the body’s left side. Pulling out his ice scroll once again he opened it and placed it beside himself. Shou did a quick survey of the placement of everything before he went to work. It only took a handful of minutes of Shou to remove each organ so all in all it took around ten minutes for Shou to empty the body. Shou had placed all the organs on top of the small scroll and then performed the same seals as he did before. Like last time the organs melted into the scroll leaving nothing but the blood stains. Biting his thumb he finished the seal smearing his on top of the other’s blood making the seal look like new again. Shou slowly rolled the scroll up and placed it back into his pouch.
While Shou was preparing to stand up he heard the other finally speak up. Turning his head he heard the other introduce himself as Kakuzu. Blinking Shou smiled slightly, happy that the other trusted him enough to introduce himself as well. But the next thing out of his mouth was both surprising and somewhat funny to Shou. Shou let out a loud laugh as he sat back down criss cross style with his hands behind his back supporting him as he laughed. Shou has been called many things but never odd. People saw him as a monster an evil creature from hell. ”Thank you I guess. Never been called odd but I take the compliment,” chuckled Shou as he whipped a small amount of tears from the corner of his eyes from laughing so hard.
”I have been in this area for the last few months. I have been attending to the sick and one of my patients was the wife of this man. This man was abusive to his family and I am not one to let another hit a woman and almost kill her. I killed this man because he was harming his wife and children. I will probably be moving on soon. Can’t stay in one place for too long,” responded Shou as he got up to his feet and brushed off the front of his pants. Shou could stay in one place for months on end but for his own safety he kept moving to keep out of sight and out of mind. Shou wasn’t ready to be caught yet since he has much more to prepare for his attack on Konoha.

When Shou had finished with harvesting the organs from the bounty, he told Kakuzu a cute little tale of how he had been attending to the weak and sickly in this country. Likely in a smaller village outside of Takigakure, Kakuzu surmised. Once Shou had finished with the body, and stood up, Kakuzu also stood up and now bridged the gap between himself and the bounty. Crouching down on the bounty's right side he would lift up the bounty's head leaning him upward as he extended his left arm before the man's hollowed torso. "Heh, you seem like one that might be interesting to work with." He didn't look at Shou as he said this, but rather held his attention to the bounty as he freed his left arm from the reaches of his cloak by slipping the cloak off of it.
With his arm now bare, Shou would be able to see the stitching along Kakuzu's left forearm. Not only that but he would be able to watch as something akin to thousands of skin snakes squirmed beneath the surface of his skin directly under the stitches before suddenly several tendrils broke loose between the connection of the lower forearm and upper forearm. While several of these tendrils just squirmed about aimlessly, several more reached out toward the torso of the man and pulled he outer flesh back together while supporting it to keep it from collapsing on the inside. Once the flesh was pulled back together the tendrils then pierced his flesh stitching it back together very much like a mortician would after performing an autopsy.
Several moments passed in silence before Kakuzu was finished stitching the flesh back together. Once done he stood up picking the corpse up by his neck before throwing it over his shoulder. "It's a win-win scenario, in a sense. Come with me and you're bound to find more... organs for whatever you want them for. In return I can turn in any bounties and continue to make a decent living. What do you say?" It was odd for Kakuzu to make such an offer, especially to someone he'd just met, but he could already tell just by what this guy had done already, he could perhaps be a useful partner. Proven that he wouldn't get in his way of course.

Shou just smirked and tilted his head to the side as he watched the other approach him bounty and lifted him up slightly. Blinking a few times Shou studied the other’s arm which had stiches on it. Shou could tell those weren’t any normal stitches. Shou studied then for a few more seconds but right before his eyes the stiches on his arm started to move. Shou let himself fall onto his knees and watched as the bouty’s chest was stitched back together. Shou was surprised by the skill. Shou had heard about something like this but he thought it was only a rumor something of mystery. ”How do you do that,” whispered Shou as he let his eyes watch the moving strings stitch the man he had ripped apart.
After a few more moments the other finished and Shou got to his feet tapping the tip of his shoes on the ground since his shinobi sandals had gotten loose on his foot. Looking up into the sky that had turned dark in color as the sun was setting behind the mountains. ”That sounds like a marvelous plan Kakuzu-kun. I would be happy to kill with you. And in time we will learn about each other and maybe one day we can share our secrets. Those strings you have there aren’t normal but like you I am also strange in many ways. All I can tell you now is that I am a man with many masks,” answered Shou with a smirked as he started to walk in the direction of the place he was staying, ”Travling at night isn’t fun. Come and stay at my place and then we can leave in the morning,” called Shou as he stopped at the edge of the clearing before entering the forest. Shou looked over his shoulder at the other and gave him a small smile. Shou would wait there until the other answered him or fallowed.

He wasn't at all surprised that Shou was absolutely amazed by his ability. He would later likely be further amazed by Kakuzu's ability if he ever found out that he couldn't die quite as easily as most other folk in the world could. Watching as Shou accepted his invite then turned as if the leave the clearing Kakuzu listened well to what the other man had to say, however could not agree with as word of the last sentence.
"Actually traveling at night is one of the best. Especially when you know the area like the back of your own hand." He moved the corpse on his shoulder a bit, "I'd prefer not to stay in this land any longer. There is a bounty office directly east of here approximately twenty kilometers away at the Taki no Kuni, Hi no Kuni border. If you don't want to travel at night I can meet you at the office tomorrow morning." He moved towards the edge of the clearing heading east, as he did so his free hand raised up the hood to his cloak. Stopping at the edge of the clearing he turned towards Shou to speak once more, "I'd prefer not to have a decaying corpse on my hands for too long, that's all."
With that he continued onward into the woods, whether or not Shou decided to follow him at that point in time was entirely up to him, but Kakuzu didn't want to stay in Taki no Kuni longer than he needed to. As such at the rate he was going, he would likely reach the bounty office by night fall, that is where he would likely stay until morning. Either there or he would make a camp in the woods near the office until morning. Either way would be just fine, after all Kakuzu was used to surviving in the woods at night, so be it bear or man, he could take on anything the world decided to throw at him this night.

After hearing the other Shou decided just to go with Kakuzu. Shou knew it was probably the best bet since he didn’t want the wife finding out it was him who killed her wife. Shou is over all a good person just doesn’t have very straight views on how he approaches things. Shou didn’t mind killing at times he enjoyed the hunt made his blood run fast. Shou of course missed the times when he was just a normal shinobi doing normal shinobi work and living with his wife and child but that was all over now. Shou was going to take action and if that meant destruction and war so be it. Shou was going to go through with is plan and hopefully he will get some help on the way. There are always plenty of missing shinobis who would join his cause one way or another.
”How much was his pretty little head?” asked Shou as he flicked the man in the forehead as he finally caught up to the older male. Shou could just sense the man was much older than he appeared but how old he was not sure yet.
