Se Yoko smiled each time he made a leap forward; his foot cracking against a small branch as he quickly fired and leaped his way forward over and over again. Time seemed to fly by; only his shadows dancing across the ground below as he reached the next tree. Again and again, by the time he had attended refocus he had cleared a suitable distance out and away from the young woman. If she wanted him, she had to get him and he had no reason not to let her try. This new location was perfect.
A massive cave-mouth rested next to several small puddles of water (ponds), murky and covered in moss and slump. You could see the various animals resting on its surface; frogs, toads, snakes peeking their heads up, alligators, and even a few small lizards seeping from its water and onto the bay around it. He stopped and stood just at the edge, and without so much as even showing a sign of effort. He planted his foot onto the surface and slowly began to stroll out and into the center of the water.
A surge of blue-chakra forming around his feet as he forced out a near 50-50 finely controlled burst against the water. The most basic of Shinobi techniques, and he was one to use them for so much more. He nodded, and leaned out as he reached the middle. Slowly turning on his heel, and looking out towards the distance with a firmly lit up grin. “Senjutsu is balance, and balance is key. That is the law of all of nature, and that is the law I contend with. I wish for balance, and balance wishes for me,
[/i]” he nodded. With that he slowly began to drop; his legs and body hitting the water with a small splash and when the water cleared he had sat out and onto the surface. His eyes slowly closing, and his mind opening to the world around him. [/blockquote]

She felt drawn to him, to his power and charisma, to what he could offer her. Offers like this didn't come along every day, and if she had turned it down, stayed in the tea house and watched him leave, she had a feeling that she would have regretted it. And it wasn't only that - she wanted this, wanted to become the student again, to have something to work towards instead of being stagnant. But all the same, it worried her - she was voluntarily putting herself in the control of someone she didn't trust. As of yet, anyway - she had the feeling that he was going to worm his way into her trust sooner rather than later, and there would be nothing she could do to stop him.
Tera didn't have trouble keeping up with him, though she decided to follow him at a safe distance. She wasn't sure when he was going to stop, or what he was going to do when he did, so she had figured that it was best if she wasn't up close. She perched in a tree and watched him walk out onto the water, wondering what he was going to do. Momentarily, she would join him, but she was wary - for all she knew, this whole thing was an elaborate ruse, and as soon as she stepped out onto the water, he would kill her. Of course, she was beginning to doubt that - he had had enough opportunities already that, if he really wanted her dead, she would be.
Balance... Mental balance, spiritual balance, those were two things she most definitely lacked. So if this training he wanted to put her through involved balance, then he might as well just give up, because she had no idea how to attain it. Tera had been thinking he would teach her things she could understand - for example, he seemed to have great prowess in fuinjutsu, and she would bet that the ink markings all over his body were sealing formulas; sealing was something she was able to comprehend - it wasn't this balance stuff that was already managing to be a bit confusing.
Hesitantly, Tera hopped down from the tree and approached him, stopping a few feet away from the edge of the pond he was sitting on top of, and sat down on the grassy ground - mimicking the way he sat - and waited for him to speak. Slowly it began to happen; his hands were extended in front of his chest and locked into a prayer like stance. His knees leaned in and his body perfectly still....balance...it was key. Slowly his hair began to shift;and morph a harder shade of darkness warping over it as it began to extend and lengthen rapidly. With little warning it exploded upwards as if the winds kept it at a constant and never changing form; his eyes slowly turning..slitted and dark red; his body starting to pump and expand outwards. His muscles hardening and bulging slightly. Two lines of purple slowly twisting and forming under his eyes.
Underneath his clothing; that once simple black-marking had turned blood red. The beast striking at the spear like fire against thunder and he the center point. “ Balance is key to all and all is key to balance!, ” as soon as he spoke up a thin and crippling wave of spiritual energy seemed to explode outwards and towards the young woman; in fact it circled the man completely in a distance 360’ all before exploding upwards and into the sky. The water showing mixed waves of movement before slowly pulling back in and quickly erupting upwards like a small volcano.
His right hand turning from the prayer-palm and slowly extending into a half-cock tiger seal. “I shall be teaching you the rite to earn my PEOPLE!,” as soon as he spoke up; the very moment he said that. He pulled his hands free and slowly dragged his arms across each other. As soon as he managed to do this; his hands were extended and slammed against the surface of the water. Suddenly a thin layer of black covered the waters face; two small squares and a double hex marking in the center.
Without warning; snakes appeared...not one...not two..not even three but a normal of one hundred ten foot long serpents. “Balance is knowing fear but knowing not to be scared! I...Youkai Se Yoko! Will make you understand how much strength you have! EVEN IF IT KILLS YOU!,” his voice cracked and with little warning the army of hissing rushed across the water’s surface; and moved in quickly. Each minute she waited would mean another they had.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] Hold your hands into the sky Pray for mercy, instead of time Low budget movies, change our low budget lives There's something to corsets and horror that joins our lonesome minds And these bloody faces with their bloody knives Say if we ever make it We'll be so bloody tired of these times Hold your hands into the sky You are the massacre, the masochist, the tease And you're captivating , standing in front of me He certainly seemed to be quite practiced at finding his inner balance. For the first few moments she watched him, it didn't seem that anything was happening. And then a change began to overtake him - blond hair bleeding away into a dark brown, body changing, dark purple lines expanding below his eyes. Though she could certainly see what was happening, Tera wasn't honestly sure she understood what was going on. Was this part of being a sage, or was it something completely different? She didn't understand, and that was just another thing that made her feel like she was worth a little less. There was so much she didn't know, didn't understand, and it was upsetting, frustrating, and a hundred other things besides. Hopefully, he was planning on explaining all this balance stuff eventually, instead of leaving her to figure it out on her own...
The energy he emitted was invisible, but she definitely felt it. The wave rippled past and blew her hair back, and Tera shivered. The immense power he was radiating was terrifying, and he had said that he wasn't even a master of this art. It was hitting her again, just how much he outclassed her, just how easily he could end her. And that power... more than terrifying, it was so alluring. When she looked at Youkai and saw that power, she wanted so badly to be like him, at least a little.
To earn his... what? It didn't click immediately in Tera's mind that he meant snakes. But when it did click? Her heart nearly stopped. She didn't like the sound of that - to know fear yet not be scared - plus snakes... oh man, that was a recipe for trouble and the pot was about to boil over.
Tera was hoping for one snake, or maybe two. Five at the absolute most, right? That was still a pretty reasonable number. And besides, they weren't going to attack her - she hoped - so she figured she could manage five snakes. Five snakes was the number she had come to terms with, decided that she could deal with, and...
Oh good lord snakes. Not one. Not five. Not even a dozen. Tens and tens and tens of snakes, and they were all rushing right at her, and Youkai screamed something about it killing her and the snakes definitely did not look peaceful and she had no idea what to do - frozen in place, paralyzed by fear, wide eyes staring at the mass of snakes.
They kept getting closer and closer, and Tera managed to scramble to her feet, but what was she supposed to do to avoid getting buried in a writhing pile of reptile? WORDS: four hundred fifty-eight TAGS: youkai NOTES: - - - LYRICS: the tease by evans blueCREDIT: akemi of btn |

That massive serpent wave; that one hundred count-army. That would scare anyone, hell it did scare everyone but it served a purpose. The massive wave of hissing rushed in; across the water as it rippled and swirled the water as they rocketed towards the young woman. “FEAR! This is the ultimate crippling tool, you need to know that no matter what that EVERYTHING IN YOUR PATH IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT! When you learn this, fear no longer slows your mind, defeat is no longer a term, and you no longer feel the weight of the world. That is key to balance, when you fear but you know that you're not scared. When you understand what to be afraid of so you can push past it and make it your own!,”
Suddenly his hands clasped together; removed from the freshly formed seal and the water's surface. The growing spiritual mass seemed to sharpen as each of the reptiles lunged from the water's edge and towards the young woman. The hissing expanding in range and their teeth bared. “Snake’s understand fear better than anyone, they know when to be afraid. That’s what makes them stronger! Because fear is a weakness and they understand that they need to break free of this bond to the earth,”
That growing wave of pressure seemed to explode outwards, every few minutes a near-tsunami like (small lake sized) wave exploded across the coast around him. Growing in strength each time; the expanding purple lines crossing and growing down his cheeks the more that time went by. His hair expanding, and growing in length as it seemed to flutter upwards. Nearly twice the original size at this point; his canine teeth visible through his lips, and his eyes increasing from the original slit. His focus seemed to simply sharpen.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] Hold your hands into the sky Pray for mercy, instead of time Low budget movies, change our low budget lives There's something to corsets and horror that joins our lonesome minds And these bloody faces with their bloody knives Say if we ever make it We'll be so bloody tired of these times Hold your hands into the sky You are the massacre, the masochist, the tease And you're captivating , standing in front of me So the key to balance was knowing fear but also knowing that you weren't scared. Well, that didn't help her all that much. Because she absolutely was scared of these snakes. Avoiding all of them would be incredibly difficult - if she ended up being able to avoid any of them. Tera kept moving backwards as the snakes advanced, eyes darting around the area, searching for an escape.
She had to force herself to breathe steadily. She couldn't be paralyzed in panic. That would kill her for sure - and she doubted that the sage would call off the snakes before they could get her. Think, she had to think - but it was so hard to get her brain to function properly when she knew that death was approaching. Of course, it wasn't the first time she had faced death - yet it was the first time she was being rushed by a hundred or so snakes, so it was a little different.
Tera was a shinobi. She knew how to face death and come out on top - she had been doing that for years and years. When she realized this, it was simple to let instinct take over - she formed a string of hand seals and suddenly, sheets of paper were gathering around her, forming a large pair of angel wings that allowed the woman to hover off the ground, go over the mass of snakes, and come to a stop hovering behind the sage. Perhaps it wasn't exactly what Youkai had intended for her to do, but... She hadn't let the fear overcome her, and that was what was important, right?
The waves kept coming, kept expanding, and Tera hovered a little higher. Water didn't really harm her paper, but all the same, she would prefer not to get soaked. "Did... d-did you have to send all those snakes after me?" He simply smiled; she had managed to avoid the brunt of it for now, and that was rather impressive. He was sure she would just stand there and expire. With a soft tone he leered up and raised his head to meet her distance, and body with a firm grin. Cheeks pushed back and his tongue slightly extended out of his mouth so he could stick it out at her. " Next time I won't hold back so much, " his voice slowly turned to a distance-and low toned hissing sound near the end. Before you could tell he was doing anything; his hands were raised upwards; fingers entwined and a seal being formed in a near instant fashion. It was a blur, something very few -normal- eyes could hope to keep up with.
It was the -ox symbol. A commonly seen tool among Suiton or water type release techniques. His eyes still focused on her; slit and sharpened. He snickered and spoke out with a high level of voice. "SNAKE CLONE TECHNIQUE!," as soon as he spoke; that swarm of hissing death creatures seemed to shiver and meld, twenty of this twisting around into a large heap of curling beasts.
Expanding, and morphing around into each other as it happened. His clothing seemed to appear around a faceless copy, shading in slowly as the eyes and nose matched his and that same dark little grin formed across his face. It turned slowly to face the young woman with the utmost sinister in its eyes. "This clone is around fifty percent of my power," as soon as he spoke. It took flight and quickly fluttered into a mist of hastening movement. Nothing but segments of colored lines in its wake as it appeared to her side; it's arm extended across its view and that dark grin slowly vanishing.
If she were capable of sensing it, a sudden release of Chakra could be felt along its arm as a flash of black flushed from its sleeve, and a thick snake of around nine feet quickly exploded from its hidden location in the flash of an eye. With intent to curl, and ensnare her in it's tightened binds. Fangs snacking into her collar and pulling her down to the earth below. If noticed, in its other hand a single sharpened metallic Kunai could be seen in plain sight.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] Hold your hands into the sky Pray for mercy, instead of time Low budget movies, change our low budget lives There's something to corsets and horror that joins our lonesome minds And these bloody faces with their bloody knives Say if we ever make it We'll be so bloody tired of these times Hold your hands into the sky You are the massacre, the masochist, the tease And you're captivating , standing in front of me Once Tera was fairly sure that he wasn't going to send the wave of snakes after her again, she touched down and let her angel wings dissipate, sheets of paper fluttering down to the ground all around her. "T-that was... holding back? Just how strong are you?" The woman felt a little awe - if he could summon up a hundred snakes and then treat it like it was no big deal, like he could pull out something ten times better and not even sweat over it, then he obviously outclassed her a dozen times over. What could she do? Give him a bunch of paper cuts. That was about it, really. Little physical strength or taijutsu, hardly any elemental techniques, no illusory techniques - her schooling had been focused on a very narrow field, mastering the Shikigami no Mai.
Snake Clone... He was using all those snakes he'd already summoned to complete the technique - would that reduce the chakra needed to make the clone, since he didn't have to transport more snakes? He obviously had some broader plan than just scaring the wits out of her with a massive pile of reptiles, but she couldn't for the life of her figure out what it would be. Oh, man - so not only did she have the original Youkai to worry about, but this clone was half as strong as him... she had a feeling that was still quite a bit stronger than she was. The sinister look on his face made her shiver. Oh, what was he going to do now?
Tera was beginning to feel on edge again, thinking that maybe she shouldn't have been so quick to end her technique. If she needed to flee from this clone, it would waste precious seconds to have to cast the technique again. While she was worrying about this, looking from the sage to his clone and back again, she didn't notice that the clone had a couple tricks up its sleeve.
And then nine feet of snake was wrapped around her, and she barely managed to stifle a scream. She was trying not to show fear, but the expression on her face probably gave away how terrified she was, and she wasn't able to school it into a calm mask. The snake's fangs sank into her, and she whimpered, struggling against the creature - but of course it wasn't going to let go.

His clone had done the work; driven the young woman down and even scared her to the point of no control. He even managed to curl his hidden technique across her body and literally tie her down into place. Three inch-fangs digging into her neck as it firmly curled around her and literally made her useless. Not only did the clone have her trapped but it wasn't done. It extended it's other arm forward and wedged the finely tuned and sharpened metallic Kunai into the wedge of her shoulder, and simply sweep it across her shoulder to cut into her clothing. What was it doing?
The original stayed focus; his hands were extended back and down onto his lap as the clone did its work. Firmly fixing his hands into a perfectly woven seal; he closed his eyes and let out a soft breath of air. Exhaling slowly as the snake-clone moved to the other shoulder. Just under the warmly purple-snakes head it cut into the same pattern of cloth, and slowly peeled it back by releasing it's restraints. At this rate if they snake let go; she would be exposed to the world.
The original could do nothing but snicker as the clone of himself continued; the snake didn't loosen up and instead pulled up onto her torso;firmly coiling it's body around her chest, stomach and arms to keep her firmly in place. It's teeth seemed to stay clenched into her skin. The-clone loosened up it's own arm as it seemed to tend and meld into a singular lengthy snake; and slowly slip between the binds grip. All in an attempt to pull and tug away at the freshly clothing and thus...remove it all. Leaving her-top completely exposed as well as curled tightly by a rope-like snake.
The original seemed to nod, and stand-the clone stepping back and simply taking a small bow. With little notice; it had merged back into the endless void of hissing creatures that had been summoned into this world before. With a little grin; he stepped forward and stood from his original location. "I believe you understand you lost, and that losing means a lot in this type of world. I'm about to make you understand that," he spoke up softly and with a tug of his hand; attempted to pull his hand around the binding snake, and pull her back and into the dark cave.

It almost seemed like the reptile coiled more tightly around her every time she moved, like it was going to squeeze the life out of her if she didn't cease her movements. Tera was hoping that he would answer her timid question, assure her that he wasn't going to hurt her or kill her or do... something else. But he was silent.
Fearful eyes watched the approach of the clone, sunlight glinting off the kunai it held. The blade was drawn across her shoulders, easily slicing through the thin straps of her chemise, leaving a thin red line on her skin as it went. Her struggles began again with renewed fervor. She knew where this was heading, even though she didn't want to admit it to herself. Youkai had seemed pretty nice - even if he had shown that he was a pervert already - and she hadn't thought he would stoop to this.
The sage snickered, and tears welled up in her eyes. Had it all been an act, a ploy to get her to let her guard down? The snake coiled tighter, drawing another whimper from the woman. Tera was trembling now, as the clone's arm changed back into a snake, slid up her body, and pulled the cut chemise off of her as it moved back down. Now the snake was the only thing hiding her bare breasts from his sight, cold scales pressed against her skin. "Youkai, please, no..." she whispered.
He spoke, but she didn't hear his words. Her mind was back in the past, five years ago, the day of Tera's fifteenth birthday. She had ended up in the same sort of situation - bested by someone leagues more powerful than she, clothes torn and ripped from her body, about to lose her innocence to a rogue shinobi. He'd told her that she had lost - that there was no use for people like her in the shinobi world - that at least he was going to let her be useful before she died. On that day, she had barely escaped with her life and virginity intact - today, she feared, would not be the same. Youkai was powerful beyond anything she'd ever seen before, and she was completely immobilized, unable to do anything to resist. "Youkai, please don't. Please." But of course, her pitiful protests would do little to stop him. WORDS: four hundred twenty-six TAGS: youkai NOTES: - - - LYRICS: the tease by evans blueCREDIT: akemi of btn |

With a soft nod he stepped forward and into the darkness of that cave all before he stopped. "You thought I was really going to? No, that was an act you moron. I don't perform acts in that manner, I was just showing you something to be scared of. You don't get it do you? You're scared of everything and that is what holds you back, " he halted and released his grip around the snake's body before looking her down. "You need to learn to face that fear, and beat it. That's why I'm going to train you how to summon snakes, if for one moment you show fear. They will kill you," he finished with a bit of a nod, and took a few steps back.
He smiled, and spoke up. "You may want to take care of that top, if I release my snake you'll give me a full frontal view of your chest...pretty sure you want that but I want you to be the one taking it off, " he nodded and turned around in place. A flick of his wrist and an explosion of smoke surrounded the young woman. The snake slowly flickering from view as he kept his attention elsewhere. "You might want to hurry before I want to turn around,"
He tried his best to keep from looking and even went as far as too start counting sheep in his head, well to him counting sheep was watching two snakes scare and eat them. That and the images of everything he had done today narrated by two voices (much like Deadpool) in the strangest voices he had ever heard or ever will. Weird lad isn't he? He giggled to himself as one of them spoke up. AND HE DEFEATED THE TOPLESS WARRIOR WITH HIS MIGHT PE- it stopped just as it was starting and the other voice spoke up. SHUT THE HELL UP! I'm trying to nap here! Weird people, Youkai hated them both.

She took a deep, shuddering breath, relieved. She hadn't been fooled - he wasn't just acting nice to lure her in. Or he was lying again, and Tera was just gullible enough to believe him. She was conflicted, didn't know what to think about him now. You moron. Like it was so unreasonable for her to think the worst of him, after he'd walked up and groped her, after he'd attacked her and bound her, after he'd removed the one little piece of clothing she wore. Like she was stupid for fearing what he might do to her. "Have you ever thought that maybe I've a reason for being scared?" she murmured under her breath, not knowing whether or not he would hear her.
It was... nice of him, she supposed, to offer to teach her how to summon snakes, but she wasn't sure she wanted that opportunity. All of this was just too much for her. "Th-thank you for the offer, b-but I'll have to decline."
His words marked the return of the dark red blush to her face. And what, exactly, was she supposed to do? He'd cut up the straps on her chemise and stolen it. How was she supposed to cover herself if she didn't have anything to use? "I-I'd like to cover myself, b-but it seems I happen to be missing an important piece of clothing. I w-wonder what happened to it." She was attempting to sound fierce, perhaps a little sarcastic - to prove to him that she did have a backbone - but it came out quiet and meek and uncertain.
So Tera settled for turned her back to him, drawing her knees up to her chest, and doing her best to curl up into a ball and hide from him. It wasn't very effective, but it was all she figured she could do - for the moment, anyway. Let him look, if he really wanted to. He had already proven that she couldn't do much to stop him if he was really determined. WORDS: three hundred sixty TAGS: youkai NOTES: - - - LYRICS: the tease by evans blueCREDIT: akemi of btn |

He snickered softly and nodded. "Scared of little ole me?," he joked at her in return and nodded to her following words of both declining and having nothing to cover herself with. He sighed to himself and slowly drew not one but both arms from the inside of double-layered Hakka-top. It was fastened to a small sash but it wasn't much hassle to simply pull it from the binds and draw it from his body. Without turning around neigh without so much as looking towards her. He draped his hands over the set and tossed it back towards the young woman. "Take it, it's the least I can do for ruining your top,"
He was now bare-cold to the world, nothing covering his torso and nothing hiding the countless seals carved into his skin; that black-war torn dragon circling his back, shoulder and chest. The scars across his back, and that spear of war. The balancing item on his body. It seemed to hold him together, it seemed like the last link of his own mind being held onto it. Perhaps it was the only link, perhaps not. He didn't try to hide anything nor would he ever do so. What the world saw is what it got, and he wasn't afraid of that.
He continued to face away; softly speaking. "Look, I didn't mean to scare you. I was just trying to make you understand what I am. I'm a beast of war, at any moment I can turn on someone...if you ever see those markings under my eyes.... and I come towards you, kill me. That's all you need to worry about, you have to defend yourself because I will slaughter you...and anyone else around me. It's why I'm marked like this, it helps keep me apart from what he is. I am Youkai and he is Yoko. I am yin, and he is yang. That spear on my back is the balance,"
He sighed and stood forward.

She hadn't exactly expected him to take the clothes off his own back to let her cover herself - she'd figured that the pervert would rather look at her while she was wearing nothing but underwear - but she wasn't going to complain. Sliding it on, the woman found that it really wasn't made for people with large breasts, but it was better than nothing. It hung open, but didn't show much more than her usual chemise did. "Thank you."
He was silent for what seemed like a long while, and she turned to look at him, seeing the seals painted on his body and the full extent of the dragon tattoo for the first time. He even looked powerful, alluring, and strong - a force of nature, even. With his own gravitational pull. That had to be the only reason she was drawn to him - because she couldn't help it. That was certainly why she stood up, hesitantly walked over to him, and put her arms around him, leaning into him and resting her head against his shoulder. His cool skin made her shiver against him.
"Well... I j-just hope that I'm never around when you.. change." she murmured. "I-I couldn't kill you. You'd overpower me in a heartbeat." Not only did the thought of killing anyone make her queasy - she didn't ever want to be the cause of anyone's death again - but she wasn't skilled enough to take him down, this she knew for sure. Especially if he had become ruthless. "I'm not strong enough. I don't know if I ever will be." What would she had to do, what would she be forced to give up, to become as strong as Youkai?
"I do wish to learn from you, but... there are some things I'll never be ready for." And that included summoning snakes. They would hesitate to eat her because there was no way she could face them without fear. "I... I'm sorry I thought the worst of you. I just..." she trailed off, unsure of whether she really wanted to admit to him just why she had gotten so upset. "Hn." He heard every word she said and then felt her grasp her body around his own and rest her head against his shoulder. He snickered softly; and smiled. "My name is Youkai Se Yoko and I'm from Iwagakure no Sato, I left because I got so tired of being called on for what I could do," he snickered at his own words and nodded. "I shall give you my power, North of here is a location that only those who truly wish to become strong can find. It's called the Cave of Rebirth, it is my home. Inside you will face your worst fears, and you will die. That death with awaken you and you shall be reborn anew. That night I became like this, those five years....I had died so many times but every time I saw the light I was reawakened and shown my faults. Once you can surpass that, you can truly see the light,"
He leaned back and into her body; all while nodding to himself. "I'll teach you everything I know but be warned, you'll learn things that are meant to kill, to lock away, and to create nothingness," as soon as he finished speaking he looked down; and smiled. "You remember that seal I showed you?," with that he drew the small slip of paper from the corner of his seal and raised it in front of his own eyes. "This is called the four symbol sealing technique, and is one of the most powerful Fuinjutsu to have ever been created. Designed to seal away the devil himself, I will help you reach this level of power if you promise one thing," he halted and dropped the seal onto the ground.
With that he pushed forward and from her grasp. "If you promise to never use it," with that he looked down at her.
