[atrb=border,0,true]everything you've done is killing everyone a little smile on a homicidal bastard It seemed that there would be no reprieve from missions in which extended interaction with other people was mandatory. Every once in a while, she did not mind such missions occurring, but this was a long string of them, involving all manners of people, from blacksmiths to children to noblemen and their bratty daughters. At least she was rid of those people after they had been escorted to their destinations. Times like these, when she was accompanied by another shinobi, were a different story. They would be around to annoy her for the entire duration of the mission, and they would be with her upon her return as well. Hopefully, this one had the sense to stay away after the completion of their task. She did not participate in such petty, plebeian activities as 'making friends' or 'hanging out' with people. She had no relationships outside of professional ones and was more than happy to keep it that way.
Her partner was a rail of a child - a fourteen year old rookie genin with few skills to his name that would be more of a burden than a boon. Masumi would bet her pay for this mission that he had never killed anyone or anything before, and he would likely not do so on this mission either. If not for the fact that her record would be tarnished, she would let him die - or discreetly kill him herself, most likely - if he held her back. Which he would, of course. She was able to stand up to some jonin in power, a rookie genin was hardly anything compared to that.
Not to mention that he was late - already off to a bad start. Seven o'clock in the morning had been precisely ten minutes ago, when she had arrived at the Tsuchikage's building, and she had not yet sighted him. If he was much later, there would be a note about it in her report, and he would certainly catch hell from someone for it. another failure is a guaranteed disaster |

TAGS Kemi <3 NOTES Stupid Mission People are Idiots. A single thought that described Kem's attitude towards everyone and everything. Nothing was ever surprising not unexpected to the genin, despite his young age and lack of experience. Everything that happened in the world was so easy to be accounted for it was simply stupid if people didn't expect it. Once again, someone decided to pull him out from his train of thought. A mission? With a chuunin? Something so trivial? Why was he chosen? Judging from the file the girl could more than handle herself so why exactly was he needed? This was all stupid and pointless, but a request was a request and Kem knew well enough there was no way to get out.
As per usual, Kem was later that day, busy contemplating the meaning of life and social behavior. judging from the file, the girl seemed rather rough around the edges as well as pretty violent which would be troublesome, however still better than some over-social idiot who would just annoy the fuck out of him with retarded questions.
The mission was simple. Go, kill, go back. Kem had no problems with killing. Everyone died at some stage so speeding up this process was pretty much doing the person a favor, however death was boring. Who would want to sit in nothingness forever?
Arriving at the rendezvous point, Kempachi spotted the girl. Just like the file said, which Kem happened to memorize with a single glance she was roughly his height and a little chubbier around the edges with black hair and a curious shade of violet eyes. A simple nod marked his arrival stating he was ready to depart. She wasn't interesting enough to have his full concentration as his mind was already departing on a journey she would never be able to follow. All because people were idiots.

[atrb=border,0,true]everything you've done is killing everyone a little smile on a homicidal bastard Upon the appearance of the genin, Masumi leveled her disapproving gaze on him. "You are late. Do not make a habit of it." she spoke sharply. Already he was making a poor impression upon the chunin; if he continued to exhibit such behaviors, he would never get very far in life. It wasn't so much that she cared about his future, but that she held a considerable amount of disdain for people who carelessly tossed away their chances to make a mark on the world by being irresponsible. Proper decorum alone was an incredibly important factor in determining whether you earned promotions and better missions and other things of that sort. "I hope that your tardiness is not an indication of how seriously you're taking this mission. If you happened to die, despite its simplicity, it would leave a mark upon my spotless record." There wasn't much else she could do to him if he was dead, but she would definitely find a way to exact revenge on him.
She strode towards the village gates, hoping he was sensible enough to follow at a reasonable pace. Waving off the gate guards, the chunin spoke again. "Inform me of your skills - and not just your shinobi skills. If you have people skills of any sort, do tell me - that is an area in which I lack." Brushing a strand of pitch black hair out of her face, Masumi turned her head slightly to look at him. "If you are not already aware - my greatest skill is my speed. I possess the capability to use both suiton and doton ninjutsu, the ability to summon foxes, and I am aware of many of the intricacies of fuuinjutsu. My taijutsu is impeccable. I do not use genjutsu at all. And I am not a friendly person - I prefer to avoid dealing with the plebeians." another failure is a guaranteed disaster |

TAGS Kemi <3 NOTES Stupid Mission Kem didn't bother listening to a single word the girl was saying. Everything she stated was already memorized by him to a perfect degree, and the threat was stupid and immature. No one cared what she did or not. The simple things were that mattered. Not some flashy techniques nor idiotic jutsu. All someone needed was their mind and a little bit of common sense to win any battle.
The girl kept going on about her amazing fighting skills how she was flawless blag blah blah Kem kept looking past her shoulder pretending he cared until she asked him about his own fighting style. What was his fighting style? The answer was simple yet rather difficult to understand for your average peasant.
My fighting skills? he asked for the first time actually looking the girl into the eyes.
"You could describe it as... I'm not an idiot unlike everyone else." he simply stated and nodded gently marking the end of his statement.
"Can we go now? I want to get it overt with already." simple yet straight to point. This was the kind of person Kem was.
Hoping the girl would stop asking any other stupid or pointless questions, Kempachi turned away from her, in order to let her know they're departing. He didn't like small talk nor did he enjoy people talking to him, luckily the girl didn't seem like the type to bother people who obviously didn't want to be bothered, and for that he accepted her. If it was an annoying brat, Kempachi would be long gone leaving her behind, luckily she was not a complete idiot.

[atrb=border,0,true]everything you've done is killing everyone a little smile on a homicidal bastard Masumi didn't care what the boy thought of her - not that it appeared he would ever speak of his opinion. It seemed she had found the one person in Iwagakure that spoke less than she did, a welcome improvement over the usual blabbering. Moments after that thought, it occurred to her that, in his mind, she would be the one blabbering, something she found a bit amusing - being on the other side of that situation was different, to say the least.
"...I look forward to seeing you in action, then." Not an idiot, huh? Well, the chunin kind of doubted that on the merit that if you claimed you weren't like the rest of the plebeian masses, invariably you ended up falling in line with them despite any differences. Once you admitted that, on a base level, everyone was the same, only then could you become different, and even then it took an impressive amount of work and skill to get there.
"Very well, then. We will move at the quickest pace possible." Which wouldn't be her peak speed, of course - she highly doubted he could even try to match up with her at her fastest. No genin could get anywhere near the speed of a jonin, after all, and that was where she fell. From what she had read, he was barely average genin speed - highly annoying, but she would have to deal with it.
They lapsed into a peaceful silence, traveling unimpeded towards the small village that was their destination. Upon arrival, they would have to talk to their client, the blubbering farmer, to ask if he had any leads or clues as to who or what was taking the sheep. After that, it would be a fairly simple matter to dispose of the culprits. another failure is a guaranteed disaster |

TAGS Kemi <3 NOTES Stupid Mission Kem was nowhere near the fastest not the strongest Genin in the village or the world, however it didn't matter. He could predict what was the opponents move sometimes even before they made it with simple observation and common sense. It was his fighting style that allowed him create almost slow motion like image of what was going to happen next and then play it out in a way that would suit him the best. That was the sheer reason other genin usually refused to spar him. How can you get beaten by someone weaker and much slower than you? It was very entertaining to watch to say the least.
The girl mentioned how she would like to see his skill in action, however Kem had no intention off showing her. He was coming along because he had to not to any work and considering the woman's skill level she should have been more than capable off fighting on her own. All Kem was planning was to stay behind and enjoy the sight of bloodshed the woman would create. Hopefully it would be quite entertaining.
Moving quite fast for Kem, it seemed they began approaching the final destination, however as per usual, he stayed quiet ready for the girl to do as she pleased.
Finally! They arrived at the place or rather the point they were supposed to. The sun was still high up above the horizon meaning the day was still young. Kempachi was bored already, as per usual so he hoped to get it over with quick. After a quick. They went into the house to talk to the owner of the establishment and soon enough they had a rough idea of the proximity where all the animals went missing. In and out, Kempachi just wanted to have it done. There was no reason to prolong this.
"Shall we?" he asked the girl as he set off in the direction given by the man.

[atrb=border,0,true]everything you've done is killing everyone a little smile on a homicidal bastard Silence made the rest of their walk pass quickly, and before she knew it they were talking to the client. He was blubbering, begging them to find his 'precious bundles of woolly love,' and it was proving incredibly difficult to squeeze any useful information out of him. After she coldly informed him that they were there to do their jobs, not to listen to his sniveling, he managed to dredge up the details they needed to complete the mission, including the location of the remaining sheep, which was a short walk away.
She surveyed the location with little interest. "...perhaps, if he had thought to fence his animals in, they would not be going missing." she murmured, rolling her eyes. If not for the fact that the man had found evidence of a struggle, Masumi would have said it was likely that they were just wandering off on their own power. And of course, some of them probably had, but the evidence proclaimed that they did have a culprit to find. But who or what had done it? It was easy to blame wild animals - dogs, wolves, big cats - for problems like disappearing livestock, but for all the client knew, it had been a hungry peasant who couldn't afford to buy a sheep and thus stole one or two instead.
"Tell me what you think occurred here. Was it an animal, or was it a man?" she asked the genin. She had already drawn her conclusion from a semi-thorough sweep of the area that had taken only minutes, but it was her duty to involve the boy and make sure he had a few functioning brain cells. But if he got it wrong, and she had to explain it to him... That would be less than ideal. And it was the outcome Masumi, she of little faith, expected. another failure is a guaranteed disaster |

[atrb=border,0,true]everything you've done is killing everyone a little smile on a homicidal bastard It didn't seem that the genin was going to answer, and Masumi wasn't going to tell him if he wouldn't speak up. Instead, she told him to watch the sheep while she took care of the problem. Since he didn't seem to want to do anything, he could stand there forever, for all she cared. Most likely, it would be simpler for him to stay out of her way. However skilled he said he was, he wasn't at her level, so frankly, she didn't think it was worth the trouble of dragging him along.
It was easy enough to follow the trail she'd found; whoever was behind this wasn't any good at covering their tracks. Her suspicions were confirmed by what she found at the end of the trail: a rotting sheep carcass, from which most of the meat had been removed, and a ramshackle shack that looked like it would fall apart in a strong wind. A mangy dog was tied to a pole stuck in the ground by the shack, and it started snarling and barking, alerting its owner that someone was nearby.
"Who the fuck are you?!" A wild-looking man that appeared to be in his thirties or forties came out of the shack, swinging around a wooden baton, like he expected to be intimidating. As if. "What's a little girl like you doin' out here?"
Masumi ignored both of his questions. "You've been stealing sheep."
He looked surprised for a moment, then narrowed his eyes and took a step forward. "So what if I have been? What are you going to do about it?"
Masumi nearly snorted. He thought he might actually have a chance if it came to a fight. How stupid. She didn't exactly look like a shinobi, and she wore Iwagakure's symbol stitched into her clothing instead of as a headband that told everyone from where she hailed. This allowed her to surprise people more often than not and get in quick, simple kills.
She let him approach, stealthily palming a kunai, and slit his throat as soon as he was in range. Letting the body fall, she moved to the howling dog and slit its throat as well, just to make sure that the farmer would have no further problems.
And so she walked back to the little village, gathered the genin, and informed the farmer that his sheep were safe, though he should probably invest in a fence. And then they were off, back to Iwagakure. another failure is a guaranteed disaster |
