[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] tell me i'm a part of history tell me i can have it all I'm over existing in limbo I'm over the myths and placebos I don't really mind if I just fade away The sun had not yet risen when Masumi left her apartment. Time was particularly important in regards to the mission she would soon embark on. This time, it wasn't a simple retrieval of stolen goods, or a straightforward kill on sight type of deal. An eleven year old girl was in the hands of a couple of kidnappers, and if they took too long finding the culprits, the girl could be dead before they ever arrived. The chunin did not wish to have the death of anyone staining her near-perfect record, be they a fellow shinobi or a supposedly innocent plebeian. That was as far as her concern for the girl's well-being extended - she only cared if her record or paycheck would be jeopardized. Her partner for the mission was the same jonin as before, Masaru Taichi. While she couldn't claim to like him as a person, he had proven to be at least competent enough to serve as a worthwhile companion. Hopefully, he'd gotten that temper of his under control since they had last talked. His short fuse was the cause of much irritation, and if he grew angry with every little thing, they would never catch up to the kidnappers and she might have to murder him in his sleep and blame it on the men who'd taken the girl. She knew he would arrive soon, as they shared a tendency to be out and about before sunrise. In her opinion, all shinobi should follow suit; those few hours before dawn were perfect for quick, stealthy travel. It was simply more practical to leave early instead of waiting for noon to arrive, which a fair few shinobi did. Masumi had read and basically memorized the mission details; she was sure that the blond jonin had barely skimmed through them, and thus she knew it was important for her to be well-informed - as always. She wasn't planning on having any breaks where he could just sit down and read the files like he'd done on the last mission. And while she knew he was technically the leader of the mission, being a jonin to her chunin, she figured he would probably listen to her so long as she voiced it like a suggestion, not an order. 387 words for taichi, made by akemi of btn |

Up before dawn once again, yet this was no surprise. It was something the Jounin did on a daily basis for some years now and it had become more than a habit, it was a lifestyle. He enjoyed waking this early for multiple reasons. First was that he could get things accomplished before the dry heat of Iwa set in, and also he could train without having to worry about the training grounds being occupied. Sure, he could have left the village to do some solo training, but why go through all that when one could just wake up a bit earlier and have their pick of training spots? The solitude proved and excellent partner as it never pestered him and was quite observant. Besides, training with others given Taichi's skill set was just asking for trouble. All puns aside, his explosive nature was liable to get someone maimed one of these days, which was another reason he preferred the pre-dawn hours; he could keep to himself.
With so few, if any, people around there were less eyes and ears wandering, which led to less short jokes. Even as a twenty-something Jounin the man still had an issue with others taking cracks at their height, and was more than willing to take a crack at them, physically. Alas he knew better but that only made it more difficult to deal with. Meh, at least there was one person who didn't care about such things... or at the very least didn't voice her opinion on the matter. That person was Maeda Masumi, a Chunin who he had been previously paired on a mission with. It went rather well, and Taichi had been able to cut loose a little and not be scolded for it. Not that he mattered either way, so long as the other person was able to hold their own. Their last missions had been to retrieve some stones, but this one proved to be a bit more delicate. A kidnapping had occurred and a young life hung in the balance. It wasn't his usual cup of tea as delicacy and his skill set was complete opposites, but he wouldn't have reached Jounin by just running in all gung-ho, would he? Believe it or not the man had some wit about him when the situation called for it, and it seemed that one of these times had arrived.
Masumi had beaten him to meeting spot, probably not wanting to show up late twice in a row. Taichi had a feeling that the Chunin had a bit of a complex when it came to dealing with the entire world and couldn't live with herself if she failed in some aspect. Obviously this no where near an accurate summation, but just something the man had thought up after their last mission. The air was still very quiet, the sun's rays barely creeping up over the horizon. Prime traveling conditions. He had taken care to actually read over the mission details before hand as he knew that they would not have the luxury of a night's respite for him to catch up. No, Taichi was prepared this time around. "So we meet again, let's get moving." The Jounin said with a slight grin. He had not even slowed his pace when he approached Masumi and continued right on out of the village gates.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] tell me i'm a part of history tell me i can have it all I'm over existing in limbo I'm over the myths and placebos I don't really mind if I just fade away The jonin appeared shortly after her arrival, just as she had expected, and then they were off. Thankfully, he wasn't one of those shinobi that wanted to stand around and talk about the mission before they left. He didn't even stop walking, assuming that she would fall into step behind him - which, of course, she did. This was something she could appreciate. He didn't want to have a friendly chat, or anything stupid like that. It was all business between the two of them, and that was the way she preferred it. "Did you actually read the mission details this time?" Masumi inquired, raising an eyebrow. If she had let traces of sarcasm bleed into her tone, he probably would have been offended by the honest question - and even though her tone was entirely void of emotion, he would probably still be offended. Thankfully, she knew she could probably count on him to remain professional even if she unintentionally irked him. She didn't really know how to talk to people - partly because she couldn't stand them, and partly because she just couldn't care less about whether she offended someone or not - and thus often ended up getting on people's nerves. And being that Taichi's temper was particularly short, she was bound to accidentally unleash hell upon herself in the form of his anger eventually. The information they had stated that the child and her captors had last been seen in a village that was approximately four and a half hours away from Iwagakure. It was entirely possible that they had moved on since then, possibly because they'd heard that pursuers would be setting out after them, but most likely because it was unwise to stay in one spot for too long when you were on the run like that. And even if they'd moved on, Masumi and Taichi could easily catch up with them because, if the information was correct, the kidnappers were not shinobi, merely plebeians with a petty grudge against a merchant. 344 words for taichi, made by akemi of btn |

Taichi did not waste a moment to see if the Chunin had fallen in line behind him, he knew that she would. Cold and calculating seemed to be her nature so getting to the job at hand was the only thing she focused on. Besides, the Jounin had figured out that she wasn't much of a talker during their last mission so why even bother attempting to start up a futile effort? It did give ample opportunity for one of to focus themselves, however, and that was exactly what the man planned to do. His mind had not wandered far before the mission began so it would not be all that difficult, but having the added silence didn't hurt.
His eye twitched at the girl's comment, but that was the only sign of frustration he would let slip. He hadn't expected her to say anything until they arrived at the destination, let alone a wise crack. Masumi seemed to be a smart girl and did her homework, so she probably knew all about Taichi's temper. Then why in the name of all things holy did she say of the few things that would instantly set him off? Alas, the Jounin remained calm though the look on his face was that of wanting to punch something... repeatedly. Sure, he may have waited until the last moment to read up on the exact details of the last mission they had been assigned on, but he knew enough general information from the start to probably get them by. Regardless, Taichi was prepared this time around.
"Many times over, thank you for asking." He replied with a tone of snarkiness. This mission was child's play, no pun intended, and probably could have been handled by a couple Chunin. Instead, the village had seen fit to throw one of their best at such a task when he could have been handling more severe matters. The distance for this mission was a minimum four hours, and that could have increased at any time depending on how far the kidnappers had traveled. In the end it would not matter as they could never outpace a pair of ninja, no matter how much of a head start they had.

Her wrists clung together, inseparable, tightened by the rope. Mouth, gagged, unable to speak anything other than muffled words. Tears dropped from her pale face onto her knees as she bent over in tears. What was to happen to her now? Will she survive? Her questions were never-ending, but the one question that she never asked was the reason for her entrapment - the daughter of a local merchant. She knew why she was taken, or at least assumed it: Money. It was all her father cared about, and it was all anyone around her seem to care about. They would flock and flock to her for the sake for money. For the sake of money. Not for her friendship, but for her father's money, either to take an interest to live in the spoils as one of her friends or to be her lover, and thus causing her inability to trust and thrusting others away from her. The only reason why she accepted this was because...she knew she'll die. She'll die a person who lived in her fathers money, she'll die anyone other than who she was: Namitsuchi, Ayumi. --------- Recently, the days have been rather odd. Especially today, ddder than any other day, simply because of what happened a day ago, now had a woman groveling beneath his feet with countless pleas for help. To explain, yesterday, Soura was minding his own business, drinking in a bar, simply to have an individual - drunk as hell - come messing with the local waitress, and of course things go from bad to disgusting. He handled it rather well, his blade at the man's throat, and his buddies in fear. Due to this, a local merchant's wife, sister to the waitress, came to him hoping to enlist his help in hopes of finding her kidnapped daughter, under the presumption he was a bounty hunter / mercenary - and indeed he acted as one to get by. However, he had forbid himself from taking any missions that would kill anyone he deemed innocent, and thus, this was indeed perfect. When asked if anyone else was to perform said job, such as the village, she couldn't answer. He accepted with some reluctance. Got the little information given to him, and left upon the direction of the said kidnappers. Today was rather odd, and for some strange reason, he suspected it to get not only more odd but dangerous as well. [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] tell me i'm a part of history tell me i can have it all I'm over existing in limbo I'm over the myths and placebos I don't really mind if I just fade away She saw his eye twitch and very nearly sighed. Of course he had taken offense from the simple comment. Of course. The chunin was tempted to make a comment about perhaps signing up for some anger management classes, but she had no desire to prod him into a burst of anger he wouldn't be able to contain. "I'm glad you learned something from our previous mission." And really, she was. It did her no good to have a partner who remained ignorant of the mission details, no matter how skilled he was. Neglecting any part of your duty as a shinobi was worth scolding, and while it really wasn't her place to scold a jonin, she had done it anyway - and look, it had made him more responsible. After a short pause, she glanced up at the man - who, despite being ridiculed for being short, was at least two inches taller than she - and spoke again. "...I do not intend to offend you with anything I say, nor do I wish to anger you. If I have, I apologize." It pained her to say it - the chunin was not one to apologize, even if she happened to be in the wrong - but if it would serve to prevent problems between the two, she would just have to get over it. The mission was more important than petty squabbling or her (admittedly large) ego, and she would do and say what she had to in order to assure its success, even if she didn't like it. That was what being a shinobi was about. After the apology, Masumi didn't speak again, and hoped he wouldn't, either. She had already spoken to him more than she cared to, and in all honesty, she was a little annoyed with herself for it. The chunin didn't want to extend herself beyond a purely professional relationship with anyone, and she considered even as small a thing as the apology to be going beyond that. Perhaps she did have a bit of a problem, because that sort of behavior was odd - to say the least - but regardless, that was how she felt and it was not going to change. 370 words, doc i'm going to punch you, made by akemi of btn |

While had certainly not forgotten the comment it wasn't something that the man was going to hang his head on. He was smart enough to see that Masumi wasn't one who cared for being rude to others, though whether it was because she didn't give a damn or just didn't know how to interact with others was unknown. It was always interesting to come across these kinds of people who had let the drive for perfection affect other areas of their life. Of course, to excel in one area there had to be a sacrifice in another, and Masumi's had obviously been in the social interaction department. Granted, this was coming from the man who was liable to rip someone in half for making fun of his height.
A single brow raised after hearing the girl apologize, for it was the last thing Taichi expected her to do... ever. Had his reputation preceeded him enough to the point where even those who held humanity in low regard would apologize for crossing him? This was either respect out of fear or admiration, well for everyone else that is, though what spurned the Chunin to apologize would always be a great mystery. Pegging on the subject would only serve to make matters worse as this was a situation the Jounin assumed the woman was rarely put in.
"It's not a problem, assuming you remember to choose your words more carefully in the future." He replied, not leaving an opening for a reply though figuring she wouldn't speak anyway. If this had been the first time they had met then she would have received the full wrath of Taichi, and it would have been none too pretty. However the Jounin knew enough of the girl's mindset to know that normal morality virtues didn't click for her, at least, that was what he gathered. Whatever the case was, there was little time to dwell on it as in due time they would reach the destination and have nothing to focus on except the missing girl and her captors.

The silent pleas of an innocent girl went unheard. Tiny squirms within her tight confinement, and whimpers of sadness due to unbeknownst dangers. Help.--------- Tracking. The art of following a particular course or trail using deductive reasoning to locate specific points of appearance to a designated target. Having nearly spent a good portion of his life in ANBU, this became a well-developed skill over the course of that life, and has been more helpful with each passing mission. What was the most prominent of signs in tracking was signs of a struggle, a broken branch, a crushed rock pattern, even a smashed leaf upon someones boat was all that was needed to locate a persons general direction. It seemed this kidnapee was a fighter, at least for a while, perhaps knocked out, but the general direction of the trail remained the same - north-west. Even without his sharingan, it seemed finding this girl will be relatively easy due to the traveling marks. They had seemed to fail in the department of an attempt to cover their tracks, albeit an attempt to do so, is not the success of being able to do so. The failure gave more evident clues of their location, and thus, it was simply a matter of tracing the dots with this case. " I wonder why they kidnapped her, without issuing a ransom immediately." Perhaps they did, but this was simply a question to himself, as he wasn't informed of any ransom given out. Perhaps this kidnapping had a more personal touch? Or perhaps, no, there are signs of struggle against her will, so it was not an mutual accepting event. Whatever it may be, he was definitely going to find out. Now that he possessed a sense of free-will, asking questions of interest was something he gotten used to, and it felt rather good to ask them. To get back to reality, the trail ended at what seemed to be a camp, he couldn't see anyone around the camp, but it seemed the camp itself was fresh. Perhaps moved on? He had to speculate on the situation a bit more before approaching the camp - it could be a trap. So now, we play, the, waiting game. He was probably puzzled as to the reason she'd said anything, but she would not offer him any answers. That was her business and hers alone. In her opinion, he already knew too much about her, so she didn't feel the need to explain further, to tell him that she didn't know how to talk to people because she never really had - and because of her rather negative opinion of humanity as a whole, which very few people actually knew about. Masumi was good at covering up the truth when it was necessary. Today, patience did not seem to be her strong suit. She kept glancing at the position of the sun in the sky, much more often than was necessary, and kept incrementally increasing the pace at which she walked. The chunin was feeling antsy, which didn't happen very often, if ever. Taichi was bound to notice, and she just hoped he didn't have any snide remarks in mind, because she wasn't sure she could keep herself from snapping at him and thus causing an unpleasant chain reaction. They couldn't afford to bicker at all. To keep her mind occupied, Masumi went over the mission details in her head. The captured girl's name was Namisuchi Ayumi, she was eleven years old and already jaded because she had discovered that, to most people, money was more important than friendship and integrity. She herself agreed with the former - friends, who needs them? - but not the latter. Even as a shinobi, integrity was important. She had been taken by two nondescript men, kidnapped from her bedroom two days ago, and a ransom had not been been posted because, according to the girl's father, the men were enemies of his and didn't want his money. He said they were probably going to take his little girl as far as they could, kill her, and dump her body where no one would ever find her. She doubted that, however; after all, the man was biased and obviously thought the worst of the men, when they were probably just waiting until they were sure they'd lost pursuit to send word of a ransom back to Iwa. That's what she would do if she had kidnapped someone. Of course, there was no guarantee that the kidnappers were that intelligent... 420 words, doc i'm going to punch you, made by akemi of btn |

Taichi did not offer a response to Masumi's words nor any kind of gesture. He believed that the two had an understanding at this point and any more would have been the equivalent of beating a dead horse. Unfortunately, if the Chunin had not learned her lesson she would definitely receive the brunt of his personality. However, he assumed that the girl was smarter than that and gave her the benefit of the doubt when it came to this one slip up. She did have a point in her question as the leader of a missions, let alone a Jounin, should have had the details of a mission down packed, though the man would never admit to being at fault.
The remainder of their trek would be in silence, something that the two were more than used to. Compared to the day's journey that their last mission took this was over in the blink of an eye, though depending on how far the kidnappers had moved they would probably have to tack on another couple hours. In fact, given the information that was on the mission report their location was approximately two hours from where the girl had been kidnapped. Not bad at all, and certainly more helpful than having to start at her house and looking for clues there.
This mission would certainly take on a different feel than the last one, especially considering that there was a life at stake other than their own. Handling a dozen thugs was no big deal and allowed Taichi to let loose a little bit, though he was slightly upset that he couldn't use that special technique on anyone. Dealing with the delicacy of hostage negotiation was something the man had no experience in, though he knew not to fly off the handle thus it get the poor girl caught in the crossfire. Masumi would definitely have to take the lead on something like this, though considering her lack of speaking skills of love for humanity in general perhaps she wasn't all that suited for the task either. This would surely prove interesting considering neither of them had what one would call "people skills".
Soon enough the building that housed the two kidnappers as well as the girl would come into view and Taichi would stop roughly twenty meters away and move to some brush to conceal their movement. Now it was time to plan how they would retrieve the girl without getting her injured in the process. "How do you suggest we go about retrieving her?" The Jounin asked as he would allow the Chunin to take the lead on this part of the mission, and for the remainder of it assuming nothing went wrong. She was perfectly capable and probably wouldn't fuck up too bad.

[/color] It was birthed into life from a sea of onyx to crimson with three black tomoe of uniqueness swimming within it with perfect symmetry. The sharingan was a unique tool in and of itself, enough to make an amateur shinobi into a grandmaster capable of fighting foes far above their physical level, but in the hands of a well-trained mind and body, such as his own, the sharingan was at its peak. It scanned the camp with its chakra viewing prowess, getting bodies of normal chakra with physical outlines giving notion that they were not illusions or elemental clones. The latter alert was simply due to its inherent ability to see chakra, and thus, elemental chakra would come out as a different color than normal chakra. It also gave him the ability to count their forces while keeping his distance, scout the area for anyone guarding from the outside, and see if any chakra traps have been laid to cover or prevent others from following. These guys weren't smart or at least didn't appear to be it. There were absolutely no physical traps set to delay or prevent intruders. Or perhaps, there was no need to. While undertaking this mission, Soura had suspicions that a shinobi could be behind, and if that was the case, it could all-the-while simply be a method to lure out other shinobi. A speculation, but with no definitive proof. If it was used to lure out shinobi, such as from the Iwagakure to capture, then why did the wife request his help instead of Iwagakure? They obviously had no problem with money with the amount they offered him, so, why? His mind swirled with different thoughts, some with no connections, some with visible connections, and some with vague links. Obvious distractions to the mission at hand, however a clear sign his mind isn't overtaken simply by the mission, but can think of his own free-will. That was the real intent of his mission, and it seemed the first half was rather productive to his development. Back to the matter at hand. He counted up the chakra forms, 1...3...6. 6 Individuals, 2 held up in the innermost section of the household while the other 4 stood guard outside making routes. To adjust to such a routine this quick, woah! It almost escaped his eyes, however there were two individuals hidden up to the east of direction, stalking the bushes. Perhaps they did lay out a trap, but not a physical trap, but an ambush one. If he hadn't caught this, he could've potentially been attacked from behind. Well, it's time to take a route and this was dealt with integrating into the populace. One. The nearest one was brought down with absolute silence. Using his sharingan to gather as much physical information from his lips, and knocking him out. Using the transformation technique: Transformed into this man, named Kokou Satoma, criminal with a few warrants with his arrest from both Hi no Kuni and Tsuchi no Kuni. He couldn't get out the reason they kidnapped other than following orders from his boss. Guess it'll take a while to get this mystery cleared. "The mission details said that there are two kidnappers. If they have not joined up with anyone else, it might be possible to kill them and just take the girl." That would be the easiest thing to do, but probably not the best thing. "If they are hiding out in a house or shack of some sort, assuming that one man is guarding the perimeter of their location and the other is with the girl, it would be easy enough to take out the outside guard. Problems occur when trying to kill the other, as he could use the girl as a human shield."If the client died, then the mission was considered failed, of course. And Masumi did not like to fail. Killing the kidnappers was the option most likely to go awry. "I do not think a hostage negotiation situation would work well either. I do not possess the conversational skills to negotiate with kidnappers, and unless I'm mistaken, neither do you." What had at first seemed like a vast number of possible situations was quickly being narrowed down in her mind. "A trick, perhaps? If we can get a good look at the girl it would be possible for me to use Henge to appear as her and possibly distract the kidnappers so you could retrieve her. But there are few situations in which that would be viable - like the situation I proposed earlier, if they're in a house and one man is guarding the perimeter, I could lure him away so you could get inside the house and use stealth to kill the other man before he could threaten the girl's life."There were so many assumptions, so many ifs, in those plans, but at the moment Masumi couldn't think of anything that was much better. "It would be prudent to catch up to them and observe the situation before deciding on a plan, especially since they could have found shelter with allies, which means we could have to deal with more than just two men."351 words, doc i'm going to punch you, made by akemi of btn |

All interesting tactics and well thought out. She knew of their weakness when it came to people skills and at the same time knew that going in guns blazing might have gotten the hostage killed. Whether that was out of some sliver of hope for humanity or just not wanting to fail the mission was unknown, and also unimportant. Taichi wished that he could have just busted in the place and beat everyone to a pulp like last time, but there was too much at stake and far too great a chance of the girl getting caught in the crossfire. This situation called for... delicacy. He shuttered internally at the word but faced it none the less.
For the transformation plan to work they would need to get closer, as well as actually get a look at the girl. Why didn't the details come with a picture of her? Someone in Iwa was going to get a mouthful when they returned. Who did they think they were making this harder than it had to be? Whatever, that could be dealt with later. "Alright, let's keep moving." He replied and continued silently in the brush that led along the path to the supposed location of the kidnappers. He stopped a decent distance away when the sound of chatter could be heard. There was no way to tell what they were saying, but the Jounin could hear multiple distinct voices. Had the original two met up with more of their gang? This was getting out of hand in a hurry. Taichi scanned the area in front of the shack and counted four people, probably in addition to the original two. Six in total, seven counting the girl.
There would be little chance of sneaking past all of these guys or being able to take them out quick enough not to alert those inside. Quite the predicament. Masumi had surely seen a similar sight by now and Taichi wondered what was going through her head. "Four more than we were told. Probably can't take 'em all out before they alert the rest. Ideas?" He asked, shedding more responsibility. It wasn't that he was lazy, quite the opposite in fact, but this was necessary training for when the Chunin eventually became a Jounin and would have to lead missions of her own. Besides, she had spoken capably before so there was no reason not to trust her judgement.

There was some key piece of information that eluded him, and with the mystery surrounding their own knowledge and resources, it simply became an even larger gap of suspicion. Whatever the case, right now he was in the middle of an operation of infiltration posed as one of the enemies, Kokou Satoma, an individual who was seemingly ignorant of the circumstances. Now, his body was well hidden amongst the grounds to not give way to his plans, he simply hoped the group did not possess a sensor, cause getting into a trap was not something he intended nor wanted to do.
Rotation. It seemed as the scheduled rotation of locations was given by the enemy, they sure was efficient, but why switch rotations when one doesn't add new addition of people? It seems quite odd, yet efficient, but rather odd. He meet the other individual, giving him a warm greeting on fiendly terms, suggesting he and Kokou knew each other more than just simple mercs for higher. This made hiding his difference in personality and inability to exact said personality due to their familiarity, and so, with a swift action of his eyes, turned the guy from a cheerful individual meeting his false-friend to a zombie with an empty stare. "What do you know about this kidnapping?" Soura demanded to his hypnotized enemy, the man looked at him with his zombie stare and gave no answer, as if he had no information of a kidnapping. At least at first thought, "Only that there is a girl who has been taken. |
[/b]" Hm? " What's the purpose of grabbing the girl?" He asked. " I don't know, they told us to wait here and guard the surrounding area." Things keep getting stranger. Are they waiting for someone? No ransom. Physical struggle. Staying in a singular location. It just didn't add up. The guy fell unconscious. It's best to get this over with as soon as possible. The rotation shouldn't overlap for sometime, so quickly hiding his body and taking out the others within that allocated time before notification of his op is revealed. He did feel a bit drained from his usage of his sharingan back to back, he'll need more time to rest, so from now on, speed and taijutsu will be his only methods excluding the current henge, to saving the girl. [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] tell me i'm a part of history tell me i can have it all I'm over existing in limbo I'm over the myths and placebos I don't really mind if I just fade away Masumi was very nearly tempted to swear when they caught sight of the extra guards. Of course it made sense to have your hostage properly guarded - but something about this just didn't add up. If the kidnappers had intended to kill the girl, why hire the extra manpower to guard her? And if they meant to ransom her, then why had no word gotten back to Iwagakure of it? This was quite strange indeed, but it was not her job to question the motivations of kidnappers. It was her job to retrieve their captive and nothing more. "Would it be possible for you to silently take out one of the guards, transform into him, and get information that way?" Masumi inquired, deep in thought. "If you believe it would be wise, I could cause a distraction and you, disguised as a guard, could slip into the house and get the girl - pretending you have orders to prepare her for travel to another location?" It was the first plan that came to her mind, and it very well could work. If nothing went wrong, that is - and things tended to go wrong when you really didn't need them to. Her brow furrowed. "Or, instead of causing a distraction - which might get the hostage killed - I could pose as a mercenary partner of whoever you transform into? Show up and say that you said there were two men hiring people - paying well - and that you could get me the job?" She shook her head. "There are so many things that could go wrong with either of those plans. But we will have to risk one of them, unless you or I can come up with something better quickly." Masumi was a little bit frustrated; she was used to being able to come up with plans that would work, no question. But this was a whole different kind of thing from most of her previous missions, and she just wasn't entirely sure how to go about this. 337 words, doc i'm going to punch you, made by akemi of btn |
