[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true]you broke me from the very first night i'd love you 'til the day that i die i'm far too comfortable this time i loved you from the very first night you broke me 'til the day that i die i'm far too obvious this time when you hide, hide inside that body but just remember that when i touch you the more you shake, the more you give away we're far from comfortable this time cold, now we're so cold, mine, and you're not mine, say never we're far from obvious this time { so fall into my eyes and fall into my lies } -- Tera was focused on taking deep breaths, wishing that she had something to get the foul taste out of her mouth. So she could hear snatches of the conversation going on, and some squishing noises that she really didn't want to think about... And something about monster cats, and how you shouldn't trust people? Either the man was rambling, going off on tangents, or he had a really interesting story to tell - not that she would ever dare to ask him.
She risked turning to look at him when he started coughing again - proving that her healing hadn't fixed all the problems, unfortunately - and was hit by another wave of nausea when she saw just how much blood was on the nukenin - and hardly any of it was his, as evidenced by the corpses littering the ground around him. The woman retched again. At least the fight was over now... Though she couldn't help but feel guilty about the whole thing - she hadn't directly caused any deaths, but she had healed the other nukenin and brought him here and thus enabled him to kill all of those poor shinobi...
Tera took the proffered hand and rose unsteadily to her feet. "Where are you going to go?" she asked, concerned. Never once did she even consider the thought of them traveling together - after he was healed, there would be no reason for him to keep her around. She wasn't strong, she didn't fight, and she'd be next to useless on any of his ventures because of those facts.
She, at least, had a destination - for now, anyway. Tera was planning on heading to her home, which wasn't too far away from Yugakure - it was no longer safe, really, but she had to at least collect her things before she left. "I-if you want... you could come home with me? Stay until your injuries clear up?" she offered hesitantly. {words} 327 {tags} kakuzu {notes} --- {lyrics} cold (but i'm still here) by evans blue{credit} akemi of btn |

I aint gonna play the fool anymore
Shadows of nothing
He could see plain as day that she wasn't quite fond of all of the blood splattered around them, and he could tell quite easily that she must've felt some sort of remorse, for it was partially her fault that all of the bodies, five in total, littered the ground around the two of them. Of course, that was majorly HIS fault, but he would never say that it was either of their duties to lay blame. Lowering his hand, he turned a bit to see the carnage he had wrought upon the place and shook his head. "You know, sometimes it really does bother me to do that," He started up as he turned back around and began to take a few steps away from the village, "I don't take pleasure in killing. Never have. However..." He stopped a few feet away from Amaterasu before turning to look over his shoulder at her, "When you're in shoes like our own. It's either kill or be killed, and I, personally, don't want to die." With that he continued onwards back towards the forest they had come for with the destination of the land of tea in mind. "I appreciate the offer, however, it would likely be for the best that we part ways."Just as it appeared Kakuzu had been finished speaking, he stopped for a bit and sighed. He then turned back towards the ivory haired female and held out a balled up fist towards her, almost as if offering a sort of fist bump, "Tera," He shortened her name merely for the purpose of not saying the full thing and possibly drawing in more attention to them. "I can tell you don't like fighting, but promise me this. At least do your best to survive until our next encounter. I don't like to leave debts unpaid." He would wait a few minutes for her reply and then turn to leave once more before saying one other thing. "Also, if you're worried about me. Don't. You're healing was more than enough." His words weren't false. In fact they couldn't have held more truth to them. Kakuzu was grateful that she had happened upon him when she had. He was grateful that nukenin like her existed. However, he despised the world for making people like herself have to suffer through this nukenin way of living. He knew that the paper that made up her wings would not remain white forever, and when at last they were stained red, he only hoped she would be able to handle herself. [EXIT]

Then again, not every person cleanly fit the stereotypes assigned them - she was living proof of that. There was no reason that he had to be a cold, heartless person just because he could - and would - kill. Like he said, it was for survival - someone as notorious as he couldn't fly under the radar wherever he went, which was how she had managed to keep herself alive for the past few years. "I understand." she murmured in reply. To be honest, she was a little sad to see him go - mostly because she knew word of the incident would get out, probably from the couple Yugakure shinobi that had fled before the man could get them, and it was likely that there would be even more people after him. She wasn't so worried about herself - she wasn't as recognizable or memorable, so she was fairly sure they wouldn't bother with hunting her.
Tera had been ready to turn and leave when he spoke her name. She made a fist and bumped it against his own, a little smile on her face. "I'm not going to die. I promise." Whether or not that was a promise the woman could keep... Well, that remained to be seen. She didn't know if she could save herself if it meant taking another person's life in return... Hopefully, that situation wouldn't occur - not anytime soon, anyway. At any rate, she hoped there would never be a need for him to repay this debt in kind.
"Okay. Just... take care of yourself, alright?" Tera wouldn't be able to keep herself from worrying about him - she knew he wasn't entirely well because he'd just been coughing up blood. And so she'd wonder if something had happened to him, she'd wonder if he had died because she hadn't healed him fully... The worries would go on and on unless she knew he was okay. And she would probably never know, unless they did happen to meet again.
She kept her eyes trained on him until he was out of sight, then left for home. {words} 369 {tags} kakuzu {notes} --- {lyrics} cold (but i'm still here) by evans blue{credit} akemi of btn |
