Save Natsumi [Plot]

It was midafternoon and Natsumi and her partner Sano were searching around a nearby mountain for a rare herd that is needed in Konoha to cure a deadly sickness. Natsumi had split up with Sano so the two of them could cover more ground. From what the medic told her these plants liked to growl on the edge of caves and they preferred to be shaded for most of the day. Natsumi ran up a side of a cliff and then reached up and grabbed onto the edge of the cliff and pulled herself up onto the ledge. Looking forward she saw the plant in was a few yards into the mouth of the cave but she found it. A smile crosses her face as she pushed herself up off her knees. Brushing her legs off gentle she walked into the cave. Knelting next to the plan she pulled out a pair of plant clippers and a small bad. Natsumi slowly clipped the plants to not damage them.

After finishing clipping and storing the plants into the plastic bag she got up. Then suddenly the earth under her feet shook causing her to fall onto her butt and in the background rumbling could be heard. Groaning softly Natsumi pushed herself up into a proper sitting position. She saw the outside world but then it turned dark. Gasping Natsumi crawled forward blindly and reached out to touching the new rock wall that now blocked her inside the cave. ”SANO!” yelled Natsumi as she started to dig the rock. After a few minutes loud barking could be heard. ”Sano!” called Natsumi as she heard the sound of Sano digging at the earth. But then rumbling was heard again and the crashing of rocks came to Natsumi’s ear. ”Sano are you ok?” asked Natsumi in a worry but shortly after asking the question she heard the small barks of Sano. Sighing softly to herself, relieved that he was alright.

”Sano you can’t dig me out these rocks are too unstable. Go to Konoha and find someone!” called Natsumi. Sano whimpered not wanting to leave his master alone in the cave but Sano knew if his master told him he couldn’t she was probably right. Giving her a few barks of reassurement Sano went bolting for Konoha. It took Sano twenty minutes to get to Konoha but once he got there, he went to find a familiar face that would be able to save Natsumi.

[Uchiha Ichiro]

[atrb=valign, top] It was a blissful afternoon for Hinagi. His mother wasn't complaining, he did all of chores, it was quiet, and he was alone. There wasn't much Hinagi could ask for at this time. He sat indian style on the deck of his complex. All the could be heard were the chirps of birds and ribbits of toads. "This is a perfect time to meditate" He said aloud as he gazed up at the sky. He slowly closed his eyes and took a deep breath in preparation for his meditation. He put his mind at ease and let the soothing breeze calm his soul. Hinagi was ready to become spiritual. He let his palms rest on his knees and just sat there. A few seconds went by and all you could hear was a loud grumble coming from his stomach. "I almost forgot I didn't have breakfast today" He made a sour face as he placed a hand on his angert belly. He rubbed it gently as he stood up and got off the deck to slip on his shinobi boots. I better get something to eat before I pass out... Hinagi quickly exited his compound and headed off into the streets of Konoha. He noticed that everywhere was pretty busy today, even Ichiraku’s ramen stand. Getting something to eat quick was going to be quite difficult for the Hyuga. He continued passing through the villagers and a couple of shinobi he recognized. His eyes bounced from both left to right in search of a place that wasn’t so heavily populated. It was unfortunate that he couldn’t find anything, perhaps if he put his good ol’ doujutsu to work then he’d probably be able to find something. [Super Kawaii Desu]

Shindama Senju, Yasuhiro Uchiha, the two were casually making their way through Konohagakure. They had a day off from team training and missions. Naturally they would not spend it together but... Akemi was away. Shin had gone to her house but she was gone, so Yasuhiro was his second option. So the two walked along the crowded streets. The Senju had his hands behind his head, walking as if he was so relaxed. His eyes were even shut, how could he possibly be paying attention. The truth was he was not. Being cocky, acting untouchable as usual.

As the two walked, bored, with nothing to do they eventually ran into someone. Little did they know that this was just the start of something new. Shin, not paying attention, accidentally tripped and landed right on top of Hinagi Hyuuga. A small grunt escape Shindama's tan lips, his head smacking into the boys. At the same time this went on the yelping of a small pup rang through the streets. The dog seemed worried, as if something had just gone wrong. When he saw the three boy standing in the middle of the street he began to run on over.

The dog looked as if he was searching for someone, moving from store to store. “Sorr--” he said before noticing who he ran into, “you're Hinagi...” Shindama had of course remembered the boys name from the Academy. Just as Shin was about to talk to the boy, the dog came up to Hinagi, barking at him with a worried look upon his face. “Hey, ain't that the Inuzuka girls dog?” Shindama said to the Hyuuga, blinking a few times, still rubbing his forehead. Shindama did not speak dog, but hopefully Hinagi did, seeing as it was his partners.

Ah, day off. No missions. No training. No hassl- ...Oh. Shindama. He wanted to hang out? Well... It's not like Yasuhiro had anything better to do. He already had his morning nap and had eaten. Sure. Why not? So there they were, just... Strolling. Until Shindama, being his cocky arrogant self, thought he was capable of walking with his eyes closed and hands behind his head, which led to his tripping and then literally bumping into some other kid. The circumstances already looked messy, but then a dog had to come barking at them.

Goggles was just chillin', his right hand in his jacket's pocket, his left hand holding the lollipop he was enjoying. His face, indifferent as ever, yielded no change in seeing a new situation unfold. He just spoke his thoughts: "Forgot how to walk, Shin? Whaddup, Hyūga?", while he briefly held the red lollipop in front of his mouth and then put it back in. The fact that he said 'Hyūga' made him realize that he recognized the kid. Or wait- he just saw his empty eyes. Yeah... Nah. He knew this guy. He was in Hiro's academy class.

When the dog arrived, Hiro just looked down, got immediately bugged by its noise, and decided to glance around for doggie treats or snacks or something.

"You think if we give it food it'll leave us alone?", he said, hoping that the other two were listening, but obviously that would not be the case. Seeing as how Yasuhiro was just thinking about himself he wasn't bound to make any real progress. Once again he glanced down at the other boys are realized there was some talking about to happen. And that dog next to them. Geez, what a loud animal. What's its deal anyways, barking around like some wild mutt?

This whole thing was starting to look troublesome, so Hiro just shifted his head, sucked on his lollipop, and started daydreaming about whatever.

Sano then smelt a familiar sent. Turning away from a store he saw the Hyuuga. Barking he ran over the two fallen shinobis barking at them to try to get their attention. Then a low growl escaped his lips as he turned his attention to the Uchiha. Glowering at him he looked around to try and finding something. Then he found what he was looking for. Running over to the side of a built he picked up a small thick stick and ran back over. With his own intellect he started to write. After a few minutes Sano stepped back and sat down staring at them hoping they would understand. Written on the ground in kanji was Natsumi & Danger [夏美 & 危難] Sano waited to see if they would understand. Natsumi needed there help and fast. Sano sensed the mountain was crumbling and if they didn’t get to her soon the mountain might trap her there for even longer.

Natsumi’s POVS

Natsumi was now sitting against one of the walls with her knees pulled to her chest. Natsumi hated being alone it made her feeling depressed and reminded her of the time when her mother had died. Closing her eyes she hugged her knees to her chest and hid her face in her knees. ”Please hurry Sano,” whispered Natsumi as she pulled her face up to look at the rock wall that had been created. The cave wasn’t completed dark since little pieces of rock had moved giving out small little lines of light. The cave was light enough for Natsumi’s eyes to adjust to be see almost the whole cave. Sighing softly Natsumi rested her chin on the top of her knees and tried to keep calm. What will happen if Sano didn’t find someone in time. Then suddenly another rumble came and the sound of rolling rocks came to Natsumi’s ear. The rocks rolled past the wall causing the cave to shake and release small pieces of rock onto Natsumi. ”Come soon,” whispered Natsumi as she hid her face in her knees again.

[atrb=valign, top] Thanks to the activation of the Byakugan, Hinagi was able to quickly detect someone coming right at him from behind. He swiftly shifted his body around so he could catch the falling person. After catching the raven-haired fellow whom Hinagi was soon able to identifiy as Shindama, he sneered and shoved the Senju back onto his feet. Hinagi didn't utter a word to either the Senju or his partner who hoofed along. He found it difficult to fathom which was more absurd, the fact that Natsumi's dog was roaming the streets without her or that he awkwardly bumped into a pair of vacuous idiots. His milky eyes were only able to analyze the Senju's stupid face for a few seconds just before diverting their attention to the equally dimwitted Uchiha sucking on a lolipop. Hinagi couldn't even find the words to respond to the two shinobi. He even saved the rest of his attention and put it on Natsumi's pup, Sano. Sano was acting more strange than ever. With the excessive barking and wagging of the tail, Hinagi was unable to decipher what it wanted or needed. He continued to study the young canine's actions. As it grabbed a stick and started scrapping it across the ground, his eyes followed. After scribbling the first kanji symbol Hinagi was able to deduce that it was trying to convey a message. But what was the message? Hinagi sounded it out as the message continued to be written "Da--ang---er? .. Danger? " His pearl white oculars shot open. "Natsumi is in danger!" He shouted, hoping the two Sanbuntai genin had caught onto the message. Hinagi readied himself to follow Sano into the direction of Natsumi.
