There were probably a few reasons for this, one of them being that Izuna more than likely wanted to fight as soon as possible and waiting around wasn't something he liked so filling that time with the mission would serve a dual purpose. Granted, these last two years had been fairly injury free as sitting in an office day in and day out didn't present all that many risks, though he was going to develop a migraine if his assistant didn't show up soon. It was a rhetorical question for they both knew the answer but he said it not just to keep the conversation going but also to open the girl up to a different view of thinking. Perhaps if she saw what was happening from another angle then it wouldn't make her so upset, or prone to wander the village in formal wear. Speaking of the village the two would be coming upon the Academy in due time, the birthplace of all shinobi and somewhere that Zakuro probably had fresh memories of. If there was one place that needed to be inspected it was this, as poor conditions in the schools led to poor training for the children, and eventually a poor military force; Ronri wouldn't have that. Besides, it would be a treat for the children to see their leader visiting them, assuming they didn't cower in fear because of his height. "He is an odd one, but a great asset to the village.
