Nor did she wake up the children, however - actually, it was Madoka that woke her up, instead of vice versa. The girl had had a nightmare, and had come into the hanchou's bedroom right after she'd managed to fall asleep, practically jumped on top of her, and started bawling about how she never wanted her mother to leave her. She had been startled awake, and nearly set the girl on fire before she figured out that it was her daughter that had pounced atop her. Her poor child had dreamed that her brother had had some sort of mental breakdown and attacked the both of them. No doubt Nagawa had been picking on the girl again. Sooner or later, she was going to have to deal with him... But never mind that for now. She had an appointment to tend to, as tired and disheveled as she was. And while Kasumi would have definitely preferred to skip out on the meeting with Tetsu and avoid this whole process, she had given him her word and she wouldn't just go back on it now. Somehow, the blonde managed to get dressed, stumble downstairs, and put on water for tea. Kasumi sat down at the kitchen table a while later, green tea in hand, and some papers she'd brought home in the hopes of eventually looking at them, closed her eyes for a moment... and fell asleep. It wasn't until Madoka woke up, went into the kitchen, and poked her awake - prompting the woman to accidentally knock over her now cold tea and spill it all over the papers - that she realized what had happened. Covering Madoka's ears, the hanchou swore. Fifteen minutes later she was finally out of the house and on her way to the hospital. Upon her arrival, she pounced on the redheaded chunin and ruffled his hair. "Good morning, Tetsu-kun~ I apologize for my tardiness. I was having some issues with the children, you see." |
