It felt breezy. Of course it did, he was standing in his underwear letting the sun dry him off, luckily the weather wasn't windy, or he would be shivering a storm. Hehe. He was always one to be lucky. This can be further proven by his brother seemingly ignoring the clear fact he was in his underwear and rubbed his hand gently, gosh did that bring back memories. So many memories, but too many to recall. All he could do was break out in a huge smile from the rub and snicker a little. Then it got serious, the tempo of Hoji downing that mega-sized monster bag of chips and his brother seemingly mixed together in perfect synchronicity. Amazing.
Before he knew it, his brother and Hoji's eating ended. Then an outburst of Hoji forgetting his staff was said and god did he laugh. He put in some average thoughts into things besides the laugh, remembering what his brother said - to remember the previous times - and so he did. Not once did he beat this exercise, even if he could think 2,000 moves ahead, his brother held so many unknown variables that it seemed nearly impossible to complete, hell, even thinking of a contingency to a likely variable was detoured by yet another variable. This was probably due to Onīsan having similar intellectual capabilities as himself, so he was often outdone. That Nara blood tho.
Yanmei called Iou over, making him snap back from his numerous occasions of failure. Of course he complied with the request, they were a team, and then they were planning, actually, they weren't. In all honesty, Yanmei-Chan and Hoji-Kun weren't capable of thinking a clear cut plan, and that's an automatic assumption that he had to be a thinker. It made it easy. Chain of command would automatically be set.
Flip.
His facial expression changed. His smile faded, and what remained was determined eyes. He crouched downwards, deep into each others personal bubble and spoke softly as to not catch the wandering ear of his brother. In about five minutes, he had given Hoji and Yanmei a set of tools, a set of orders, and stood up facing his brother. "You're right, the reason why i failed was because..." He started saying, his voice more deeper and less cheerful than before, "I didn't have friends by my side. Let's do this!" He shouted jumping to the left.
The General PLAN:
Hoji: "Your part is the most pertinent to our success. Take these 2 Hikari, it's set with a 2.3 second delay. When i give the signal, throw one of them up into the air as fast as possible, this is merely a distraction, my brother will immediately notice the Hikari, so it won't be good. When you do, count to 2 and close your eyes upon being launched, just before, or you'll be blinded. If anything, there's a few ways he'll take this, closing his eyes as a response, covering his eyes, or turning his back. It's seemingly unlikely for him to jump back. Either way, if he does, that's our opening. "
Yanmei: "Your part will allow us to make the capture. I want you to memorize his location, and location of the stone, then launch every last shuriken you have at him and his general area. Be sure to count to 2 seconds before closing your eyes, and on the third second, launch all you can, no hesitation."
Both: "The flash effects only last 3.3 seconds before it starts to fade and vision can be regained. So count from 0 to 6 seconds, and perform your duties in order, and when it reaches 6, re-open your eyes, but ONLY for a simple blan to get the location of my brother and the stone, and i'm sure my brother will do the same and open his eyes after the effects fade, this is where we strike."
Hoji: "This is where the second Hikari comes in, i want you, on the 5th second throw it upwards, similar to before, that'll have the flash occur at 7.3 seconds. What my brother does at this point will define our win, if he successful succumb to my plan, he should be blinded whether he continue to close his eyes or not. Close your eyes after counting to 7 immediately, and throw kunai at my brothers location after your brief blank, there's no room for error, if it does happen, you can be blind, but i have a back up plan.
Yanmei: "You the same, make sure you close your eyes at the right time, and when you're done, launch yourself at the stone, so i need you to memorize its location the moment you open your eyes and close them, just run towards it with your fastest shunshin, try to grab it if possible."
Both: After that, we should have the stone. If my brother gets injured, then so be it."
That's what took up 5 minutes, however, there was one thing not mentioned in any of those instructions, and that's the variable that he'll use to win. He covered fixated memorization, such as having Yanmei-Chan remember the stones location twice. However, he wasn't going to allow Yanmei-Chan to get hurt, especially if his brother uses Taijutsu, he'll destroy Yanmei-Chan's body. No way would he let that happen.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] a heart of gold won't take you all the way "You're awesome, Hoji-kun." Yanmei declared, reaching into the bag and grabbing a small handful of the chips. Yum. She munched on them as Shikashu talked, and by the time they were supposed to start they were, sadly, gone. Unfortunately, it seemed that the Akimichi had powered through the rest of the bag by the time their sensei was done explaining, so there would be no more chips for her. Until later, anyway. Now it was time for Iou to get serious and come up with some sort of awesome plan that only a genius could figure out. Yanmei was pretty smart, she thought, but making plans wasn't really her strong point. Not at all. And even if she did make a plan of her own, doubtless it would be far inferior to the Nara's. Iou, when he was serious, seemed like an entirely different person. That goofy grin dropped into determination, his eyes hardened just a little, and he ceased to be that class clown call-of-the-wild sort of boy. And Yanmei thought he was twice as cool as he usually was - and Iou was really cool to begin with. She was supposed to memorize Shikashu's location and the location of the stone. That sounded simple enough on its own. And then, after Hoji threw the first Hikari, she had to throw all of her shuriken at the man. That also didn't seem very hard, even though she didn't always hit her target when she threw shuriken... Well, maybe that was good, 'cause if she hit Shikashu in the face with one or something like that, he might not be too happy with her. And she was the one that got to grab for the stone, too... but then, what was Iou going to do? She was a little curious - of course he had to have a plan for his own actions too, but she guessed that his part was probably really important so he didn't want to risk the possibility of Shikashu hearing any of it. Fair enough. After Iou gave the signal and Hoji threw the Hikari, Yanmei counted to two as she'd been instructed and then sent all twelve of her shuriken flying at their sensei. She didn't have Iou's attitude of 'if he gets hurt, oh well,' so a part of her was hoping that she didn't hit him... Now, as soon as Hoji initiated the next part of the plan, the girl would be ready to go for the stone. words 429 tags shikashu, hoji, iou notes - - - items used: twelve shuriken - thrown at shikashu |
