Mission Details! [/ul]
RP ALERT
- the day was young; short and full of life. The world around the lot was rather the usual as they continued along a path shortly after meeting in the square. Names were given and the lot of that was about the same. Dreams, goals, identification and the usual information were exchanged about openly but hey. It's their funeral right? She on the other hand kept it sweet; name and "rank" among the village as a Jounin, and the Head of the Yamanaka-clan household. Pretty strange for her to be her but she needed to get out of the village for a bit and see the world around them.
- besides she always loved the chance to gather new information to be stored on the hidden scrolls she was so prized for containing. Information about the village that so few actually knew, kinjutsu, techniques, clan secrets and things she had learned over the years. These things were priceless and were considered more valuable then gold to the young Kunoichi. Despite her young age she was one of the most highly skilled in the village and had earned her true rank before she even turned twenty. Quite a feat but to her it was an insult.
- that rank was so easily gained; hmph. She nodded and continued to move out; each step forward seemed to avoid the line of her clothing despite the thick mud. Her clogs made sure of that; the trees flashed by and the path seemed to simply continue for quite a bit longer. Perhaps it was time for a bit of q&a? Perhaps, but that was up to the runts. "So, what do you people do for fun now and days? In my younger days, I was on the street performing and writing books," she nodded after shortly speaking up. Her tone was warm; soft, and nearly quiet. It seemed oddly quiet; and with little purpose.

Another day, another mission, that was the life of a shinobi. Though the days of finding lost pets and picking up groceries for old people were an almost daily occurrence for Genin every once in a while they were given a bit of reprieve from the mundane D-rank missions and assigned a C-rank mission. Perhaps it was a preview of things to come once they advanced in rank, or perhaps all of the capable shinobi were away doing bigger and better things. Whatever the case was, here the boy was walking down a dirt path on his way to some random town to possibly deal with a few bandits.
The group had left early in the morning, and the sun's rays had barely begun warming the air around them; it was times like these when Kagami was happy to have a high collar on his shirt that blocked the cold air from chilling his neck. What he wasn't happy about, however, were the three other people that were on this mission with him. Granted, if it wasn't for the Jounin and maybe one other of the Genin then this mission probably wouldn't have existed in the first place, or rather the Uchiha wouldn't have been assigned to it. With that he could live with, but having a full squad seemed unnecessary. There was nothing he could do about it now except see it through, and that he planned to do.
The make-up of the others were two Yamanakas, one being the Jounin in charge of the mission, and an Akimichi. Kagami had begrudgingly participated in the usual banter that preceded a mission comprised of strangers but that was all the talking he planned on doing for the foreseeable future. He listened to the older woman's question but didn't speak. He loathed small talk, the need for chatter. People were afraid of their own silence and would spew just about anything from their mouths to not hear their own thoughts. His position was a couple steps back from the remaining three, and that's how he liked it. No need to be bunched up.

notes: spice i made you post templates for a reason, use them Yanmei had been quite excited to learn that she got to go on a mission with her big sister - her first C-Rank, as a matter of fact - and she'd been a bundle of untamable energy all morning, to the point where she'd even annoyed her parents. Mostly because she'd talked and talked and talked, from the moment she got up, through breakfast, while she was getting dressed... it was endless, really. At one point she thought she'd heard her mother mutter something about finding a muzzle...
Well, anyway, she'd pounced upon Inkoudai and bothered her about all the details as soon as her sister made an appearance, and learned that not only would her teammate Akimichi Hoji be joining them, but also an Uchiha boy she'd never met, Kagami. She hoped he was friendly - you could never have too many friends, after all. He was a tall, lean boy that dwarfed her by a foot at the least. She pouted; it wasn't fair that she was so short... everyone was taller than her! Even some kids that were still students at the academy were bigger. "It's nice to meet you, Kagami-san." she said politely, grinning at him. He didn't receive one of her signature Yamanaka tackle hugs, but that was because she wasn't sure how he'd react to it, and she didn't want to make him angry.
"Mostly I just spend time with Iou-kun and my other friends. We go out to eat and do stuff sometimes, but most of the time we just kinda hang out and watch clouds. But you know that, onee-chan." she answered, grinning. She knew it was probably a little immature - what kind of shinobi held their sister's hand on a mission? - but she'd tucked her hand into Inkoudai's larger one. Even though they probably wouldn't be in any real danger anyway, being with her onee-chan always made her feel safer - she had the best sister in the world, after all. |
