Alright so a long time ago I had folks asking me about Lion-Dogs, Foo-Dogs, Fu-Lion etc... a mythical creature in Japanese & Chinese lore. They were wondering how they could summon these due to them being mythical. The answer to this is very easy...
So people could always go a simpler route and just summon lions... these things from Africa.

But what is the fun in the Naruto world of just summoning these? None.... it just doe not fit.
Finally, the solution to this is.... make the Lion Contract, but use Foo Dogs/Lion Dogs/Fu Lions as the appearance for these summons. So in doing this your summons dont look just like simple lions, and you aren't breaking the mythical summon rule.
