[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] but you will never hear the last of me so scream your heart out you are the chosen scream it out loud we are the broken Inori was bored. With no teammates to pester, no D-Rank missions to carry out, nothing to do at home... The girl just wasn't sure what to do with herself. This day was proving to be spectacularly uneventful - her aunt didn't even need her to babysit, something that had become almost an everyday occurrence - and she just... didn't know what to do with herself.
At the moment she was stretched out on the couch in the living room, idly tossing an apple in the air then catching it as it came down. The repetition of the same movement over and over again was lulling her into a doze, and the last time she threw the apple up - it came back down and bonked her in the head, startling her wide awake and causing her to speak a couple of words that her mom would smack her for saying. Thankfully, she had been alone in the room and the only one that heard her swear was the family cat, who had come over to investigate the apple that was now laying on the floor. Inori scratched behind the red tabby's ears for a moment before snatching up the apple and heading into the kitchen, then dumping the piece of fruit back in the glass bowl with its brethren.
"Mom, I'm going out! I'll be back later!" Inori called out, hoping that her mother would hear her. She then pocketed what cash she had left over from her lat D-Rank mission and headed out the door. The girl figured that she could maybe swing by a ramen stand or something - it was better than just sitting around and doing nothing, after all. Her favorite stand was at the far end of the market district, and it was definitely worth the walk.
Inori had stopped to look at some nice fresh fruit that a vendor was selling, when someone smacked right into her and knocked her over - a smelly, scruffy-looking teen. "Hey! Watch it!" words: 335 | tags: takezo | notes: - - - | credit: akemi of btn

Takezo was normally very god at swiping food from the various venders, after all he was a ninja. Today wouldn't have been any different than any other day the venders came to town. He would swipe a few apples maybe a bit of dried meat, just enough to keep himself alive. It's not like he was greedy. That's what he told himself at least.
Truth was he would steal a bit more than that but he would eat it though out the day so he would only save a few apples and a bit of dried meat for the next few days. Eating was one of those things that Takezo LOVED!! More than a lot of things in life he loved to eat, the feeling of a full belly was a true driving force in his life.
Takezo was on his way home which as the moment was the Docks in the Uchiha compound. He had a couple of apples in his kimono no one noticed him take. He would have laughed at how easy it was if it wouldn't give him away. Just as his mind was on how easy it was to take the food, he stopped watching where he was going for a split second. Well you know what they say, Life can change ina split second.
Takezo bumped into some blond girl, a few years older and defiantly taller. The bump had caused the carefully places fruits to drop to the ground in front of the vender they belonged to. Before the last 2 apples hit the ground takezo kicked them up into his left hand, pulling them to his chest for security. STOP THIEVS!!! Came the cry of the vender, turning every head in the 11 year old direction.
Man those Venders are stupid Takezo laughed as he ,With out a second thought, grabbed the girl firmly by her wrist and Pulled her to her feet and took off , hopefully with her not resisting too much, after all they think she stole them too.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] but you will never hear the last of me so scream your heart out you are the chosen scream it out loud we are the broken Inori had only enough time to see that, instead of her initial assumption of a teen being the one to run straight into her... it was a little kid? Well, not exactly little, but at the very least a hell of a lot scrawnier than he probably should be. He was dressed in an old, tattered kimono, from which a few apples had just tumbled. Oh, well, that was just bloody wonderful. Of course, the vendor that he had stolen the apples from wrongly assumed that she was the boy's partner in crime - a kind of stupid assumption, since she hadn't even walked by his stall, but that wasn't the point right now. The point was, the grubby boy had grabbed her by the wrist and taken off, resolutely dragging the Yamanaka along behind him. It wasn't like the girl was putting up any resistance, though - they did think she had taken some apples as well, so she wasn't all that eager to go running back in the other direction.
Once they were a safe distance away, Inori pulled her wrist out of his grip and shot him a dirty look. "Thanks so much for getting me involved in your petty theft." she muttered under her breath, eying the boy with distaste. Perhaps it was because she wasn't in a good mood to begin with, or because the boy just looked kind of gross, but the blonde really didn't feel like being all that friendly to him.
He looked like a shinobi; he was carrying chakrams and was faster than your average kid, so... Logically, she had to assume that he was a genin. "Who are you, anyway?" she asked, curiosity piqued a little. If he was a shinobi, why was he so dirty and unkempt, and why did he have to resort to stealing food? Just from looking at him, she guessed that he stole more out of necessity than for the fun of it. words: 328 | tags: takezo | notes: - - - | credit: akemi of btn

Oh me? He asked with a grin spreading across his face. Well, I'm surprised your parents haven't warned you about me yet. His voice was playful and innocent, despite the two stolen apples he was holding in his hands. With a roll down his left arm and a launch from his elbow the scruffy little boy sent an apple sailing towards the girl.
Well then, It's rare I get to introduce myself. With a low and obviously over exaggerated bow, he tilted his head up to look at her. Takezo, Raising from his bow. Takezo Uchiha, It's a pleasure to meet you. Despite his young age Takezo had an odd aura about him. Like a wild animal in a cage, a longing in his eyes for more in life.
And who might you be that fate saw fit to throw quite literally in my path? It was an old line from one of his grandfathers books. One of the heroes was a swashbuckling pirate and he, in a similar situation, found himself talking to a princess. Takezo had no idea what to do so he figured that acting like one of his heroes would be better than himself.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] but you will never hear the last of me so scream your heart out you are the chosen scream it out loud we are the broken Who did this kid think he was? I'm surprised your parents haven't warned you about me. He was just a little kid with sticky fingers. Seriously. Someone had some awfully big britches for being so darn small. Inori caught the apple and tossed it right back at him. "No thanks. I don't like the taste of stolen goods." Perhaps it was a little rude - he didn't look like he ate right to begin with, yet he had still offered her a piece of fruit - but she didn't care. All that much, anyway... Okay, so maybe she felt a little bad now, but he did need it more than she did.
An Uchiha? Inori was a little incredulous at first. "The Uchihas let you out of the compound looking like that?" she asked with a little disbelief. Most Uchihas were poised, and neat, impeccably dressed - pretty boys, in other words - and they didn't generally have to steal to eat well. "Uh, I mean... really? You don't exactly, y'know, look like you... Oh, whatever." And so the Yamanaka shut her mouth before she dug a hole too deep to climb out of with her words. But it was true - when she thought of the Uchiha Clan, the last thing she thought of was a scruffy little street kid filching apples from vendors.
"Inori." she introduced herself. "Yamanaka Inori. Nice to meet you, Takezo." She paused for a moment to look him over again - noting just how small he really was. "If, uh, if you don't mind me asking... what's up with the, uh... well, everything? If you're an Uchiha, why aren't you a pretty boy like the rest of them?" Maybe it was a little insensitive - to say the least - and she didn't know whether he would answer of not, but she could at least try to get him to talk about it. words: 324 | tags: takezo | notes: - - - | credit: akemi of btn

Takezo Caught the apple with a nonchalant shrug and no sooner was it in his hands the apple disappeared into one of takezo's many pockets. Suit yourself he muttered low as he listened to her talk. She was as surprised as any one, more than some less than others but she had a lot of the same questions. they whys, and how and, what happened's. It was a strong of questions he was used to, hell he down right expected it from strangers now a days.
I leave because there is no one to stop me. I suppose the quickest way to answer you is to simply say, I am how I am because there wasn't anyone to make me otherwise. He wasn't sure if he was wording it right. He hadn't put it this way before. He didn't like to say the same thing over and over and over, it got boring. To challenge himself Takezo vowed to never use the same description twice but to also never lie or hide the truth.
A mind rapist, Shoulda guessed. With those eyes and that hair, it should have been obvious. Takezo said with a Cheshire grin. That and you smelled like flowers when I bumped into you He had noticed it earlier but the running had taken immediate precedence, so it was put on the back burner of his mind. Hearing She was a Yamanaka only served to spark his memory.
Believe it or not, most kids are warned about me by there parents. Though I'm sure they don't use my real name, more than likely a moniker of some sort. He spoke as if he was asking a question, despite his phrasing. He had always been told that the other kids were warned about him. He was , in most senses, a feral child who can speak and use chakra. Even as he ate his apple, it was clear that he was thinking about what he was going to do next.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] but you will never hear the last of me so scream your heart out you are the chosen scream it out loud we are the broken "Well, I guess that makes sense." So was he saying that the Uchihas just didn't care about him? That was a kind of harsh thing for a little kid to be saying, and even harsher if it was true. What did you have to do to make the Clan turn on you when you were so young? Inori would have asked, but that clearly would have been intruding into his privacy, and while she could be a little nosy, she didn't like to be that annoying. Hm. Did he maybe not have parents? Living ones, anyway. Maybe they'd disgraced the Clan before they died or something and that was why no one liked him. But really, it wasn't any of her business... Still, she couldn't help but be a little curious.
Inori bit back a laugh at his description of her Clan. "If that's what you want to call us, I guess. I mean, that is a pretty accurate description, to be honest." Rooting around in someone else's mind until you found the secrets you were looking for, or taking over their body and leaving them with no control... that did pretty much amount to mind rape, didn't it? Of course, she had never thought of it that way before, but... If the shoe - or rather, moniker - fits... "Yeah, you kind of can't escape the floral scents in the Yamanaka compound. They're literally everywhere."
"Really? But why? Doesn't really make sense to me, for all the parents to warn their kids about a little petty theft. I mean, it's not right to steal, but it's not the end of the world either. Unless you're doing something worth that I just don't know about yet." Either way, Inori couldn't bring herself to care much about how supposedly notorious the kid was. That's all he was - a malnourished little kid who probably had to steal to survive. What was frightening about that, other than the gross familial neglect? words: 343 | tags: takezo | notes: - - - | credit: akemi of btn

I suppose they don't want there kids to pick up on my habbits. Takezo mused out loud as he hoped up against the wall of the ally, letting his feet stick to the wall, sitting eye level with her now. Looking away and taking a bite of his apple. Maybe They think I'm a bad influence or something. He said with apple in his mouth, not full but not empty. The fact that he was chewing a stolen was very obviously not lost on the boy. But what do I know. He chided, taking another bite of his apple.
After chewing for a second he continued, Could be because when I was younger I hurt some kids showing off my shuriken jutsu. He said a bit somberly. I was better than them...But I wasn't as good as I thought I was... Takezo never broke eye contact, despite the obvious hurt in his. He was honestly remorseful for hurting those kids. The Shuriken were wooden but I still managed to hurt 3 and put 2 in the hospital. Nothing permanent...
After a moment he finished his thought, if only a mumble Not for them at least.... Takezo took another bite of the apple, kind of letting his eyes drift away after a bit. HE didn't really know what to say. He wasn't a liar, he was in fact the exact opposite. He was a very honest person. When asked question he answered with the truth. He didn't even omit something if he knows it's what they're actually trying to know. Could be that...

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] but you will never hear the last of me so scream your heart out you are the chosen scream it out loud we are the broken Well, he did have a point there, didn't he? Not very many parents wanted their children to aspire to the great heights of petty theft, after all. But that still didn't deserve a specific warning against this kid in particular, even if he could be seen as a bad influence. 'Don't steal, kids!' was a good enough warning without tacking something like 'you don't want to be like that one kid' on the end of it. "People can be really prejudiced. Adults more than kids, sometimes." She shrugged.
"Mistakes like that happen to everyone. You're not the first kid to hurt someone else in a training accident, and you certainly won't be the last." She didn't know whether he was looking for comfort or sympathy, or if he was just telling his story. But she did know, from the hurt in his eyes, that he wasn't playing up a situation for the effect. "I don't think there's a single person that hasn't accidentally hurt a friend or someone they were sparring with. I have. I mean, you just help 'em up, apologize, and get 'em patched up. It's not any big deal. If they go crying to their mommy, they need tougher skin."
She reached over and ruffled his hair. "I bet none of those people that tell tales about you have ever stopped to talk to you. People are more than just their actions, something that hardly anyone believes." And not all people were stereotypes, either - something that Inori had a hard time remembering at times. Just as not every Yamanaka girl was a dumb blonde or Miss Popularity, not every Uchiha was a stuck-up pretty boy. Takezo smiled. He was used to this response. Kids didn't usually know about the other side of things. The part where the parent of the child comes over to smooth the situation and give parental assurance about their childs behavior. With out that, Most people just assume the worst, love can make you scared like that. A lesson his grandfather never let him forget, after all it was love that killed his parents.
He was about to interject with the parental side of childhood accidents when she said something out of the blue. She gave him the benefit of the doubt, despite there current situation. The sadness left his eyes in an instant, replaced with a radiant, hope filled, happiness. It wasn't often people gave him any credit, they just assumed. The girl hit it right on the nose. EXACTLLY!! I never get to tell my side. His voice excitedly agreeing with her. So of course it sounds bad. He said with an almost evangelical flourish.
And don't worry, It doesn't get me down. he replied, with an happy smile. His voice much less excited than a moment ago, realizing he was almost shouting at her. It's a driving force really. I just have to be good enough tat I can win with out hurting anyone. He said as a shuriken seemed to jump from his sleeve to between his middle and pointer finger.
With his other hand he brought the remains of his apple down in his hand before sending it into the air and catching it in his mouth with a wink. with a flick of his wrist he sent the Shuriken flying into the air, away from Takezo and the girl. with his other hand, the one that held the apple, he threw a kunai after the shuriken, only much much faster and I an arch. Once the two his the shuriken flew back towards Takezo with incredible speed. With another wink Takexo caught the shuriken, but only after it sliced through the apple he was holding in his mouth.
See, Now im good enough to be fairly sure on what I can or can't do. So , if I were to play with anyone. They would be safe. he said as the Shuriken disappeared up his sleeve and jumped off the wall. Taking a few steps down the street towards his Kunai. what about you, What drives you to excel?

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] but you will never hear the last of me so scream your heart out you are the chosen scream it out loud we are the broken He smiled - he really smiled - and it prompted a grin to form on her own face. She liked making people happy, especially when they smiled all to rarely, like she assumed the boy did. It was a shame when something as simple as not hating someone right off the bat made them so damn happy. It was disgusting, really - Konoha was one of, if not the best, of the elemental nations (in her own humble opinion) and yet they still couldn't fix prejudice, a tragedy of a society hat grew up biased enough to think that they were the only people worth a damn. And not everyone even realized that that was wrong. Stuff like that made Inori sick.
"People like that piss me off. It's never right to just assume someone is bad when you haven't heard their side of the story - or worse, have only heard rumors about them." To be honest, Inori would be surprised if stealing was the worst thing wrong with this child - even if he wasn't directly abused or anything, he had been hurt greatly, and she couldn't imagine that anyone was looking after him, with the way he looked... He had such a resilient spirit. "That's right, kid. You shouldn't let it get you down. If it doesn't, then you're a bigger person for it, and you'll only end up stronger in the end."
She watched his little demonstration with a measure of awe in her eyes. "Damn. That's better than I can do, and I'll bet that I've got a few years of experience on you. Keep working hard on that, and maybe you could be a master of shurikenjutsu or something." Inori wasn't being facetious in the least - she really was impressed, not only with his talent with shuriken, but with his spirit.
"What drives me... No one's ever asked me that before." Inori thought about it for a moment, giving her answer great consideration. "I guess I've always wanted to live up to the expectations set by my brothers... but now that that's, well, a changed situation... I guess I would say that I'm driven by wanting to fix the deplorable condition of society. Kind of a big goal, and a little impossible right now, but I'll at least make a difference someday." words: 402 | tags: takezo | notes: - - - | credit: akemi of btn

Takezo laughed out loud a bit, a little louder than he had originally liked. Picking up his Kunai With a smile still spread across his face. your driven, never say impossible. People used to say that about me becoming a ninja. Besides, Big goals are the only ones worth having, ya kno- Takezo's voice was cut short when his head turned upwards seemingly out of nowhere.
Takezooooo!!! Came a voice just before he picked up the ninja tool. The voice was young, much younger sounding than Takezo. Hurrrrry up, They Hearrrrd you The rolling "R's" sounded like a low growl mixed with a loud purring echoing off the alley walls softly.
From a rooftop above Takezo a tiny figure blocked out a little portion of the sun, silhouetting it perfectly. Therrrrrre getting closerrr!!! Rrrrrrun!! The voice was urgent, despite the childish tone and rolling R's. Takezo's head turned just in time to see one of the venders turn his head towards him, trying to find the source of the sound. Takezo was wishing he had thought his exposition through a bit better.
HA!! As if you'd catch me. Takezo goaded the man as soon as they made eye contact. Turning around With a wide open smile, excited there was more to the current adventure. Come one Inori, Were not done running it seems As he ran past her again,Grabbing her by the wrist. As Takezo ran he looked towards roof tops. Ahead a little figure poked out again. He's coming from the rrrright. Take the thirrrd Left!

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] but you will never hear the last of me so scream your heart out you are the chosen scream it out loud we are the broken The amount of optimism in this little boy, after being treated like shit and made out to be a villain when he was nothing more than a child... It was just unbelievable. "Yeah, I guess you're right about that. Nothing is really impossible when you truly believe you can do it." Well, some things still were - she'd never be able to will herself to fly, or literally move a mountain, or anything like that. But she was trying to cheer the kid up, not bring him back down, so she didn't say what was running through her head.
The childish voice startled her; she followed Takezo's gaze to see a little black cat with patches of bright orange all over it. The girly part of Inori wanted to squeal and give it a hug and tell it it was a cute little kitty and whatnot. The rest of her listened to its words - the shopkeepers hadn't stopped pursuing them after all. She sighed. Really, this was becoming a pain in the ass. She might have to smack Takezo for getting her involved in all of this.
One of the men came into sight, and Inori was already ready to run - but she wouldn't budge until Takezo did. The kid had grown on her, and she didn't want him to get in trouble even if he had done something illegal. He felt it necessary to grab her wrist and drag her the first couple of steps again - which made her twitch - but then she was just running along beside him, scowling. "Is that kitty your partner in crime?" she asked jokingly. Where he had acquired such a cute little familiar was a mystery to the girl, although she kind of wanted an adorable kitty now too... She managed to get out of the 'wooed by a kitten' mindset when she nearly tripped over her own feet and swore loudly. Takezo looked up at the furry little kitten as it jumped from rooftop to rooftop with speed beyons the Uchiha, Takezo could only smirk. This cat was one fast bastard, but then again he had nothing to compare it to, he didn't know any other Nekonin. Still He and Kuromaru , or Blackie as he liked to be called, were ,for lack of a better term, partners in crime like the Yamanaka said. YEah, His name's Kuromaru
From above and ahead of him, the cat stopped dead in it's tracks. Turing around and running back towards them My name is blackie!! The little Kitten yelled. With a quick burst of speed,Blackie used Shunshin jutsu to close the gap between them,Lashing out a paw into Takezo's face, leaving tell tale cat scratches. I rrrrreally hate that name!! and I know you rrrremember!! The little kitten hit the ground softly,a little blood dripping from his claws.
Takezo Simply Laughed as he kept running,As if the bleeding scratches were nothing. Which they were only super ficial and, while they glowed red for they moment. They would nearly vasish completely in a few moments. Oh, The mighty blackie!! Takezo Takezo shouted back mockingly.
For a moment the two seemed to have forgotten about the men chasing them because they in fact did. They were both quickly reminded when hands clasped around the little kitten from behind. It was the fish merchant that they duo hit more than any other, at Blackies behest. I got you you little shit!! I'll teach you to steal from me!! The mans massive hands had Blackie completely helpless, encompassed completely with the exception of his head and tail.
Looks like I'm gonna add me another trophy The man said with wicked glee. He lifted his Bloodstained apron to reveal a slew of cat tails and many sizes and a cleaver. NO one steals from me and gets away with it. the man brandished the menacing cleaver with an evil laugh. The Kitten in his hand squirmed but the grip was so tight he couldn't even breath enough to talk. The expression of absolute terror on the little kittens face seemed to make the man happier as he taunted the kitten wit the weapon.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] but you will never hear the last of me so scream your heart out you are the chosen scream it out loud we are the broken "Nice to meet you, Blackie." Inori stifled a laugh at the look on the kitten's face when Takezo had called him Kuromaru. He had been so offended because the boy hadn't called him by his preferred name, and it kind of amused her. If not for the fact that they were currently running away from a bunch of angry old men, she would have knelt down and petted the kitten.
She didn't expect that anyone would have caught up with them, and so it took her a moment to realize that the fish merchant had snatched up the kitten and was brandishing a cleaver at the poor thing. Inori glared at the man, then glanced at Takezo. "Hey, kid. Don't let me crack my head off the sidewalk, okay?" He probably didn't know what she meant by that, but oh, he'd figure it out soon enough.
Thankfully, she had a way to get the kitten away from the man without having to hurt him. She made the hand seal for her family's most basic hiden technique and successfully transferred her consciousness into the fish merchant, who was stupidly standing there, holding the kitten. Finding little resistance from his mind, the Yamanaka made him drop the kitten and put the cleaver back.
And then she returned to her own body, hopefully in Takezo's arms instead of splayed out on the ground. "Now, I'd suggest that you go on back to your shop and forget about punishing this boy, or I'll do more than just invade your mind." She wouldn't, actually - being that it was generally regarded as bad to attack a civilian - but hey, he didn't know that. words: 289 | tags: takezo | notes: 87% chakra, shintenshin no jutsu | credit: akemi of btn
