The Smoky Mountains hold more than just a natural beauty that it’s renowned for. There is a supernatural presence here that most humans know nothing about. Two hundred years ago, a man with the ability to turn into a werewolf moved here, towing along a large pack of wolves. Soon, though, he found that there was much more than just his wolves. Witches and vampires seemed to gather here, some to just simply enjoy the beauty of the place, and others because of the places to hide in the mountains that most humans couldn’t easily find.
It was said that the alpha of this pack offended a vampire who claimed to be the King of Vampires a hundred years ago, when the alpha turned a young woman into a werewolf after he found her near death from blood loss. Little did he know, she had been claimed by the self-pronounced king of the vampires. The king cared little about the woman, but more that his property had been stolen. To make things worse, the alpha’s new mate showed him where the vampire nest was, and many vampires under allegiance to the king were killed.
In an attempt to get back at the werewolves, the Vampire King did the only thing he could. He found a way to place a curse on the werewolves, and with that, made them unable to change a human.
A hundred years have passed since that curse was placed on the werewolves. Some think that the King found an ancient magic that had long since been thought extinct, and used that to curse the wolves. Others believe there is a long-thought dead line of witches and wizards with a strong ability to use curses.
Besides the King, only one person knows for sure. A sultry, outcast vampire woman has approached the Alpha of the werewolves, claiming to know how to free them from their curse. She’ll tell him how to break it, but at a cost. The only question is, is the cost worth saving his wolves?
