Many years ago, the Cobalt Region had gone under a very destructive revolutionary war. Two machinists who wished for a better life for their families spent years building a machine under the Cobalt Capital. When their machine was complete, the City of Cobalt lifted into the sky and became the Floating City of Cobalt. Once the war had ended, a soldier began the Trainers' Guild. This influenced Pokémon Trainers to travel the Cobalt Region. These soldiers of Cobalt would earn badges by defeating Gym Leaders so that they may one day become Pokémon Masters.
