A savage slash is then employed, seeking to drive the opponent into a dodge. If they dodge, the user can then release the objects they hid behind the flank of their blade, wasting no time in surprising a dodging opponent with a hail of kunai or even worse.

This technique can be used upon water as well, requiring the user to channel chakra through the blade of their sword, however. Usage in this manner requires B-Rank Chakra Control. A rooted sword also makes for a good shield, given it has a fair amount of size.

Quite literally, the sword becomes a maneuvering tool: a paddle.

Pushing the staff all the way over with their left hand, so their palm is facing left, the user then turns their right hand to fight the right gripping the staff, so that the left hands little finger is touching the right hands thumb, then finishing off the spinning motion with the right hand bringing it all the way round. This technique effectively just spins the staff all the way around in front of the user. This technique can be infused with chakra to block some elemental jutsu. This can be used to deflect attacks and weapons.

The user first attaches strings beforehand onto the tossed shuriken and the kunai thrown after it, then one shuriken is pulled back using a tree as an axis, based on the yo-yo's principle. The other shuriken and kunai are decoys, and the true attack is the shuriken that is pulled back using the force of the thrown kunai. The trick in making this technique successful is to somehow be able to read the enemy's movements, which normally would require the Sharingan or some sort of visual enhancer.
