Special Traits: Suika no Jutsu [Hydrification Technique] -- A protean, whole-body technique whereby the user liquefies their entire body at will, making it impossible to receive damage from physical attacks. From a single hair, to the skin and muscles, everything can be liquefied and solidified at will. Be it to evade an enemy's attack during a short range battle, to infiltrate a structure, or to launch a surprise attack in a liquefied state, this technique boasts a high strategic value. Applying this technique, the user can also modify their body parts for suitable situations.

Boasting high strategic value, the only way to contain a user of this technique is to lock them up in an airtight container so they cannot move about. When the user passes out, they turn into a jelly-like state. Since this technique turns the body into water, the Hōzuki are extremely vulnerable to Lightning Release techniques.

This technique's name is intended to be a pun. "Suika" (水化) is the Japanese term for "hydration", but separately, the kanji mean "water" (水) and "to become" (化) respectively, translating to something more similar to "hydrification" ("to become water"). This explains the effect of this technique more precisely.

Historical Background: The Hoozuki clan was among the founding members of Kirigakure no Sato, which was formed to oppose the block of power that the foundation of Konohagakure portrayed. In due time, Kirigakure became one of the five big shinobi nations, and the name Hoozuki became linked with the long history of Kirigakure no Sato, like the names Hyuuga and Uchiha became linked with that of Konoha.

Politically, they're entitled to their own way. Village politics is not something they partake it, more or less, they're less of a clan, than a group of crazy individuals linked by their Hijutsu. Family ties and a clan compound barely exist, therefore no leader or council of elders governs this family's efforts.

Their skill has made their Hijutsu a recognized trait, famous users even able to utilize other such substances as oil of acid in conjunction with their liquid-centered abilities. What they don't cut to pieces, they blow assunder with the force of a thousand waves.
