There's a revolution brewing in 2034.
After the disbandment of the X-Men and the Brotherhood - after Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr, known more popularly as Professor X and Magneto, had passed away - there was peace. Anti-mutant sentiment died down, though not away, and those who had once worn spandex and leather tried to find a way to live their new lives.
Now, however, Xavier's Institute for the Gifted is back up and running - accepting any students and teachers that they can find. The staff reassures worried parents and politicians that this isn't a stab at resurrecting the X-Men - they merely want to have a safe place to teach and nurture the next generation of mutants.
But a newly formed rag-tag Brotherhood isn't so sure - and there are certainly students at Xavier's who yearn to go out and help prove that mutants should no longer be hated or feared. Tension is running high in Salem...
