Boredom was a problem many people faced. It was mind-numbing, boredom. It dragged you down into a lazy mood - a self-perpetuating cycle of boredom. There was no fun. There wasn't even pain. Just empty boredom that dulled the senses. It spoke volumes that a particular youth was now caught up in sitting under the shade, watching the rain drizzling down with droplets dripping from the edges and corners of the awning over his head. He'd decided to head out and get some food, but he found himself just becoming more bored. It was an irritable state of affairs, staring at his half-finished dango stick as he sat just outside the shop on a small bench. He took another bite.
Normally he was not in such a mood. Not that he was happy-go-lucky, but he showed a much more positive, affable attitude. Now he felt like killing something just for the excitement it would bring (Even if said excitement involved other Shinobi capturing him and locking him away in a prison to rot). He looked across the street, watching the people as they walked along. The dark-haired youth grumbled irritably and took another bite of his dango. He needed to do something. Anything. Sitting here and eating dango wasn't going to help. Pushing himself up he stood, adjusting the katana held up to his left hip by his obi sash before walking out from the cover of the awning and into the rain.
He didn't care for the droplets of rainwater that flowed down through the strands of his hair. He didn't care for the fact that his clothes were getting wet. He didn't mind the rain usually, but even if he did, he wouldn't have in this case. He was too wrapped up in trying to find something to break the cycle of boredom he was currently locked in. But as he walked, he soon began to hear a yell - some kind of loud cry. He turned in the direction of the sound, the faint hint of a smile appearing on his face as he began to walk back in the direction of the sound.
Perhaps the fun was coming to him.

Huff. Huff.. Huff... Dammit...
Her crimson partner fell to the ground with a loud clatter as rain drops poured onto its blade and shaft. Her violet eyes stared at the large range of target dummies in front of her and studied them. Many of the dummies bore critical battle scars testifying to the genin's domination over them. All of them had these in fact, well.... except for one. This very same dummy was the one she stared at now as if willing it to explode in a heart beat.
Exhausted in her entirety she collapsed the the ground, landing rather harshly on her back. There she laid for a long time with her arms out stretched as her let the rain wash away her sweat from the work out. With her violet eyes closed to the sky she would also mull over today's training routine as she rested, and as she mulled it over she would curse herself. How could she still not be able to pull of that whole combination yet? Every time she tried she always messed up in some manner.
First she tripped over her own foot...
Second she completely missed the third target... Third she ran into the fifth dummy face first...
Today just didn't seem to be her day. Then again no day was her day at this rate, because she had been stuck at this same spot, in this same rut, for more than a week now. It was like she was just unable to progress forward any further without some sort of outside force. It was, in a single word, irritating. Growling to herself she lifted a hand to bash it down against the ground again begin careful that it wasn't the hand near her scythe.
"Why..." She growled to herself in an almost hushed voice at first, "WHY CAN'T I FIGURE THIS OUT!?" In the end she cried out to the heavens irritated with herself and her failure to pull off the maneuver that would allow her to take out seven targets in quick succession. Soon after her call to the heavens everything fell silent. For a long time it remained that way, but eventually she heard it. The sound of foot steps.
Someone was approaching.

It tasted like rain. Dull rain. For the past time now, Izū had been staring at the sky with a tilted head, tongue straight out, slowly tasting the raindrops that fell. It was an act of curiosity and boredom - a dangerous mix. He took a yawn, his mouth filled with water from the falling rain-drops - he enjoyed the sensation of water piling in the mouth - that soon spewed out due to lack of space, he didn't want to gulp.
[Swoosh]
A large spit that fell with the rain, completely masking its existence. He had just realized what he was doing before his eyes took to the sky, watching a dazzling brown haired girl - looking like sweet chocolate in nature - train with her crimson scythe in the rain. Originally planning to do the same thing the girl was attempting to do, train, he instead opted out to watch instead. It could be mistaken that he was watching from afar with admiration of her existence, something he hadn't thought about due to the boredom, but she did have an elegance noted in his mind from before.
The girls movements were filled with mistakes, he could clearly see several throughout the performance, and it seemed it filled her with contempt of her own individual skill - something Izū could never feel, not because he believe he's perfect, but because he can't believe of holding anger for his own failure, it prevents one from going forward. Her visible contempt manifested itself to a shout towards the heavens, and it seemed to have attracted others instead of himself, for now, he would just wait in the trees. Boredom might be lifted soon.

The dark-haired youth walked steadily through the street, moving at a slightly quickened pace. A step above a casual walk. He very clearly had a destination. He wasn't sure exactly what it was, of course, but there was a kind of hope in his eyes. A hope for excitement. A hope for entertainment. The day had been so long and dreary - a chance to find something worth his time was something he was willing to lunge at, if need be. He stepped around another corner and found his pace was steadily quickening. He knew it was close. He had heard it in this direction. His eyes scanned his surroundings as he attempted to pinpoint what could have produced the sound.
As he rounded a corner, he got his answer.
There, just a couple feet away, stood a young girl in the rain. A crimson sickle had been dropped by her feet. She stood alone in the rain, standing alongside several beaten dummies... And one not-so-beaten one. The dark-haired youth paused, crossing his arms as he attempted to put the whole scene together. This young girl was training. There had been a yell. Her weapon was dropped at her feet... He smirked, bemused by the conclusion he'd reached as he stood still. She was frustrated. Something in her training wasn't going so well. Perhaps she'd prove to be fun yet. His smirk began to fade, but never truly disappeared as he walked towards the young girl, chuckling to himself.
"And here I thought someone was in danger. Had my katana ready and everything," he remarked aloud, intending for the young girl to hear. He strode forwards with a cool composure. An unshakeable confidence. He was as smooth as one could get. His arms remained folded in front of him as he looked around, inspecting the training equipment the girl had set up for a moment before looking back down to the weapon on the ground. A sickle was not amongst the weapons he'd had experience fighting with. A rather unconventional weapon - certainly, it didn't exactly have the finesse of a katana. But then, if someone had enough skill to make good use of such a weapon, it meant they must have had some good skills indeed.
"Need any help?" he asked, a brow raised in curiosity. This girl was already grabbing his attention. He didn't doubt that she was certainly the excitement he needed on a day like today.

Growling to herself she finally rose back up to her feet after several long moments. She wasn't going to let herself stay down for long. Only weaklings quit in the face of trial and she was no weakling. Reaching down she would wield her crimson scythe once more and get ready to tackle the dummies once again when a voice called out to her.
"Who the hell," She turned to find out just who had the audacity to make such a smart ass remark about someone being in trouble and he possibly being the hero. "You be the hero if someone were in trouble?" She searched for something about him to call him as she hadn't seen this black haired boy around before, as she did the she rested her scythe on her shoulder. "Sorry snaggletooth but there's no one in danger here." Snaggletooth? Cause he had sharp teeth like one? Sure why not, better than calling him shark boy.
She turned her attention back to the dummies and sighed, "It's just a bump in the road. I'll get the handle of this maneuver soon enough, and when I do look out, cause no one is gonna bring me down." She definitely seemed over confident in herself as she clenched her free fist in front of her self with a dangerous grin on her face."Help? Doubt you can help me with this Snaggletooth... You use a katana, not a scythe. The maneuvers would be completely different. Although..." She paused for a moment thinking, "I could use a sparring partner. Are you up for sparring with me?"
With that same dangerous grin on her face she turned towards him and brandished her scythe, remarkably with one arm, in front of herself.

It seems the visitor was a young individual, around his age or older, with what seems to be sharp bisectors and smaller sharp frontal teeth. Interesting. Not an uncommon sight in Kirigakure, but he's only glanced at some SSM's with those features. It seems the guy was rushing towards this location with an mind-set to be a hero to a damsel in distress. A bit too much to say to a girl with confidence, but whatever. It was obvious with his approach, he was going to get a whiplash from the girl, especially since she was obviously overly frustrated at this point. And then it happened!
SNAGGLETOOTH!?!?! He had trouble to maintain his collected composure atop the branch quietly, as a small snicker escaped and a huge smile appeared, catching his mouth with both hands to stay hidden was a feat in of itself. What this caused was simply, a loss of balance and thus, he fell from his branch abruptly onto the floor face first. It hurt. Not as much as his stomach did as his laugh burst from its hand cage. His katana fell from the shock of once leaning towards the tree beside him, the sound of it dropping caused him to go into a smaller laughing fit - still on the floor though.
"Snaggletooth, too funny." He just had to say that. Just had to. He stayed on the ground, not realizing the shock he would've caused to the other from his attempt to watch from afar.

The 'snaggletooth' comment raised a brow, but otherwise didn't change Shinji's smirking expression. He'd heard the comments before. They weren't anything new. But nevertheless, he had to admit he was starting to like this young girl. She was interesting, and she certainly had backbone. That was something he always admired. It looked like now his boredom was gone, replaced by a certain excitement. She mocked his offer of help, but looked more than ready to take up her sickle and offer a sparring match. And why not? Shinji smirked and lowered one of his hands, grasping the handle of his katana. He was always ready to bring a fight to someone.
"What do you think I was offering?" he retorted simply, ready to draw his blade. The best way to hone one's skills and oneself was in the heat of a battle, after all. But before any move could be made by either Genin a loud, cackling laughter erupted. Stopping himself, Shinji's smirk disappeared, replaced by a look of confusion as he turned. With his keen hearing he was able to pinpoint a tree where the laughter came from, not far from where he and the young girl stood. All of a sudden a young boy dropped out from the branches, crashing to the earth as he continued to howl with laughter. Not sure exactly how to react, Shinji could only raise a brow as the kid remarked just how funny the word 'snaggletooth' was.
Shinji couldn't help but laugh. He gave a bemused chuckle as he looked at the heap the white-haired kid lay in at the base of the tree. Had he really laughed himself out of the tree? It looked like another interesting kid had shown up, although this one was more comedic than the young girl. He nearly forgot about fighting the young girl as he looked towards the boy, now folding his arms across his chest. But then, a thought occurred to him - if he was sitting up in the tree the whole time, than what exactly had he been doing? That thought made it all even more amusing. Continuing to smirk he stepped towards the young boy.
"Well, nice of you to join us, Stalker-san," he remarked aloud. This day had gotten very interesting indeed...

The other kid seemed to be rather too confident in his own ability. Not that it mattered, Kazue would knock him down several pegs and show him just whose top dog. Or rather she would if some idiot kid hadn't fallen into a laughing fit after quite literally falling out of a tree. Apparently he had been laughing so hard because of the nickname that she had given the snaggletoothed kid. Well if he liked her nicknames so much than she would give him one too.
"OI! SHERBET HEAD! HOW DARE YOU GO INTERRUPTING MY FIGHT!" Kazue jabbed a finger from her free hand in the white haired kid's direction as she rested her scythe on her shoulder again. Honestly did people not know the greatness that they were about to witness? Well she would show them one way or another. "Just for that, Free For All!" A completely serious look on her face she hefted her scythe into the air with both hands an struck a pose as if almost cheering for her own idea. In short, yes, she just challenged Snaggletooth and Sherbet to an all out free-for-all fight.

His small laughing fit continued, unable to stop as shinji attempted to insult his reason for hiding like a ninja, simply because his very face reminded him of his joke and with every glimpse of his oral constitution, he would let out a small bit of laughter that was higher than before. The word snaggletooth just was funny. However, a loud mouthed shout stopped his laugh rather abruptly as the word "sherbert" was uttered. He stopped. Turned to the girl. Stared at her with an emotionless expression. He didn't care about what else she said during that sentence, but the word: "sherbet." "Who are you calling Sherbet you---" Just as he was about to retort the insult given, the brazen girl who he once - yes once - had attraction to cease with a declaration for an all-out fight. He stopped for a moment, got up ignoring the fact he couldn't finish his sentence and grabbed the sword beside while in the motion.
A sigh released from his mouth, "I rather not fight those who has no chance of beating me, but if you want to, coco-scythe, come at me." He hands upon the sheathe and hilt, in ready position to draw. Let's go.
