The majority of the Akimichi Clan build up their bodies in order to the point that they are able to inflict crippling blows to their enemies, which they combine with their jutsu to devastate their enemies on a grand scale. They are also adept bō users that use a type of bō that they can lengthen to remain proportionate with their size.

|||Calorie Control|||
Members of the Akimichi Clan can manipulate their bodies calories in such away to convert them into chakra in order to perform their more powerful techniques. In order to make the process easier, they developed the Three Colored pills, which are very dangerous to use. Converting the calories into chakra causes rapid weight loss, so the Akimichi eat excessive amounts of food to keep their reserves up.

As members of the Akimichi Clan, they are privy to the clan's secret techniques involving the altering the size of their bodies to increase their strength. Initially,the change was all of their body growing to a grand size, but with proper training they can alter certain parts of their bodies.

Historical Background:

In a time before Konoha, the Akimichi clan had a close relationship with the Nara and the Yamanaka clans. As most of their techniques revolved around increasing their size, they became known for being powerhouses and big eaters. While they could thrive in war, they respected the opinions of the Nara and chose to stay out of it, but they did choose to monitor any nearby battles in case things got out of hand.

The formation of Konoha provided the Akimichi Clan the opportunity for some peace from the warring groups in the area where they lived, but they were weary of making a new alliance with out the Yamanaka and Nara clans. With that thought in mind, the Akimichi chose to wait to see how the village progress, while also consulting with the allies.

Following the betrayal of Uchiha Madara, the Akimichi clan decided that it might be wise for them to join the village, which happened during the village's sixth year. Over the next four years, there were many battles that were fought before the other clans of their long standing friendship joined the village, and the Akimichi were overjoyed upon their long standing friends decision. With all three clans in the village, they began to train together and come up with techniques that played off each other's strengths.

In recent years, the Akimichi Clan have been working to perfect their jutsu, while also running up a huge tab at all of the local restaurants.
