Many took it for granted that the Kazekage spent all of his time working. It was hardly an unreasonable thing to think, after all. It was certainly true that the Kazekage had a lot of work and organizing the Shinobi of the village was not exactly the easiest task in the world. But that didn't mean the Kazekage wasn't efficient at his job. On the contrary, he often worked hard to get whatever work he had done quickly so that he could give himself the luxury of free time to spend to himself. To keep himself occupied when not busy with work he'd developed a couple of hobbies. They varied from more artistic hobbies such as singing and practicing origami to the slightly more... Unique.
The Kazekage stared intently at the stack of stones sitting upon his desk, carefully balanced on their sides with no less than three rocks stacked up. In his hand he clutched a fourth, though his whole body remained still as he stared at the structure in front of him. A single miscalculation in how he placed the next stone could send the entire thing crashing down, and then he'd have to start over. His all-time best was five rocks stacked high and he wanted to try and beat that record before his break was over. But he couldn't move recklessly. It was difficult enough stacking two rocks atop the first, let alone five. But he was a determined man. He was a patient man. He could do this, he told himself.
All the Kazekage really hoped for today was that, while trying to attempt his best record, no one disturbed him. You never knew when someone might promptly barge in with some urgent news. It certainly happened often enough. But he was silently hoping it didn't today. He slowly and steadily reached up with the stone in his hand, letting it hover just above the top stone of the stack. With the gentlest, most focused coordination the dark-haired man began to place the stone atop the stack, letting it sit for just a moment whilst his hand remained upon the stone. The stack didn't fall. Very slowly his fingers began to release the stone and at once he lifted his hand. At the sight of the standing stack remaining proudly tall he let out a relieved sigh before grabbing another stone.
He really hoped no one came in as he began to slowly repeat the process, raising his hand once more...

It was the last place she wanted to be and by far she honestly didn’t want to tell anyone around her that she had gotten lost, to be quite honest she had hoped that her quick trip to the bathroom wouldn’t have landed her in a hallway she was unfamiliar with and in turn lead to her utter and complete disorder in directions back to the room she had been in. Her hand moved to ruff the side of her head as she tried to remember which way she had turned, in her rush to relieve herself she had forgotten the way back. If anyone asked her what happened she was going to be sure to tell them she kept getting stopped by people, yes that sounded like something that would happen in this building. It was after all where their kage resided so it wasn’t unusual that someone who had no business here would be questioned like she was pretending she had been. Her best guess at finding out how to make her way back to where she had come from was to just start walking and hope she found the right place, really how big could this place have really been? It wasn’t as though she had actually ever studied the layout of the compound itself or where exactly things were kept and offices were made. Though now that she thought about it she doubted they would let just anyone privy to such information, though how she found herself on such a topic anyways she couldn’t actually understand.
Door after door seemed to lead her no where close to the origin of where she had come from and yet she felt as though she was making progress, that or her brain was just trying to stay positive as she continued to grow farther and farther from her original position. Soon however her curiosity began to over take her and as stealth like as she could she began to explore the rooms she came across, they all seemed to hold storage and records nothing all to important that she could tell from just a glance but none of them seemed to be the room she was looking for in any case. And why hadn’t she ran into anyone who could have helped it her? Honestly it was like she was alone in a ghost town the way it seemed everyone had just up and vanished, for a fighter the idea really creped Haruhi out despite the fact she always spouted out how she didn’t believe in such things like ghosts. With no resolve left to find an exit she vowed that the next few doors would be her last before she would just escape out a window and find her way to the front and start over again. However when the door opened and she found herself actually face to face with someone she felt slightly relieved, that was until she realized just exactly who stood before her. Come to think of it why had she been in this place at all the reason seemed to elude her at the moment really she seemed to stumped for replies as she stared face to face with the kage.

The dark-haired man smirked excitedly to himself, his eyes locked on the stack of rocks in front of him as he held another stone just above the top. Very slowly he began to lower the stone, continuing to stare intently at the stack. He couldn't afford to mess this up if he wanted to beat his record. To be able to stack the stones in such a difficult and impractical manner he had to apply the lightest touch - a very gentle placement of the stones, calculated perfectly for balance. It required a deep concentration - the kind that commanded one's full attention at all times. Very gently, very softly, he began to place the stone at the top of the stack. He held it there steadily, refusing to let go for a moment. He began to feel himself relax for a moment.
Then it happened.
The door to his office creaked open as someone stepped inside. The creaking noise and the footsteps made him flinch - the new presence setting him on guard. That slightest twitch was all it took. The stones were set off balance and now they began to fall. For a moment time seemed to stand still as the dark-haired man watched his stack begin to collapse. The stones all fell at once and crashed upon his desk one after another, each thud against the desk like a thundering boom. Some bounced off of the desk, landing on the floor. The stone that had once been in his hand slipped out of his grasp and hit the table before landing on the floor and rolling over to the girl's foot. His stack had collapsed, now reduced to nothing. His eyes stared down at the vacant desk before slowly moving up towards the young woman.
She possessed almost silver hair and a stare like a frightened deer. He scanned her, attempting for a moment to put a name to the face in front of him. Unfortunately, nothing came to mind. He continued to stare however, remaining completely silent. After a lengthy pause he began to shut his eyes, breathing in a little through his nose before letting out a deep sigh. Slowly his eyelids began to lift as he stared again at the young teenager in front of him. The man remained almost completely still behind his desk, his only movement being a slow shifting of his hands as he rested one atop the other, leaning forwards with his elbows on the desk.
"... Ordinarily, you'd make an appointment with the secretary," he remarked, letting out a chuckle. It was hard to tell if he was genuinely bemused or not. "Is there something you wished to speak with me about?".

It sounded as though there was a rock slide within the office walls and she watched as the rocks began to tumble down from their most eccentric stacked place among the desk. She was at first startled by the noise as the objects came down watching as they beat and bashed against everything that they came to fall upon causing much more racket then she had been trying to make in her attempt to find a way back to her party. She felt like this was going to lead to something dramatic a feeling deep in her gut told her to just shut her mouth back out and close the door as if nothing had ever happened however when she found herself staring at the Kazekage of all people all the muscles in her body had decided to give up any action and rest with the sole purpose of letting her remain with her feet planted firmly. The last remaining stone which had been grasped firmly in his hand now rolled its way to her feet stopping as it lightly knocked against her shoe. She wanted to gulp and try to free the horrifying tension that was building up in her body however nothing seemed to want to work for her, it was as though her brain had decided to shut down and leave her for the wolves to feast upon.
Her panic almost became to overwhelming when she watched as he looked her up and down as though judging her whole being in just one glance of her stance. It was slightly creepy to be honest and she wanted nothing more then to will her body to turn around and quickly leave before he could say anything at all to her, she wasn’t good with confronting people when she burst in on them like this. Though she had made it a point never to do such a thing anyways, she tried to suck in a few calming breaths but even her own lungs refused to obey her orders. She let out a small squeak when he began to move forward watching as he perched himself up on his arms to rest his head, however when he spoke she became a bit confused. She hadn’t really seen anyone to start with so how could she have made an appointment with him though Haruhi was never really able to control her own oblivious stupidity “ what..?” she blurted out suddenly before waving her hands in front of her and shaking her head “no..no I mean what I meant to say was I am sorry to bother you , there isn’t anything I wished to speak to you about I simple … er.. Got lost and started checking rooms to see if I could find my way back and since I was getting the impression no one was around it was quite a shock to find myself face to face with you .. Sir “

"I see. Perhaps you should have picked a time when people weren't on lunch... This place clears out very quickly," the older man remarked, continuing to smile. A couple thoughts emerged in his head as he looked over the young girl. Obviously there were quite a couple of questions he'd like to ask her. What exactly was she looking around for, after all? It seemed strange to be looking around the tower. He wasn't convinced she was a spy or assassin - if she were, she was far too inept. No, rather she just seemed lost and confused. Leaning back in his chair the Kazekage pondered it all for a moment, continuing to let his eyes rest on the young woman.
"Well, that explains one thing, but... I'd like to know why you're here. Is there someone or something in the building you're trying to find?" he questioned, a brow raised. Now that she'd burst into his office and interrupted his rock-stacking, he felt the need to question the young girl. To at least understand that there was a reason behind why she felt it necessary to try and check every room in the tower. If he'd been in a meeting, after all, it would have gone over very poorly. Piss off the wrong person and she could have been stuck doing low-rank jobs for the next month or so. It was a very fortunate thing then that he wasn't so easy to anger.
"... Come to think of it, you haven't told me your name, either..." he mused aloud. He didn't phrase it as a question, but it was clear he was probably expecting an answer. Ordinarily he'd introduce himself first, but... Well, he doubted there was a single person in the village who didn't know who he was. One of the perks about being the Kazekage - you never had to explain to someone who you were. It was taken for granted that they knew who you were anyway.

“Lunch ? Her brain stopped processing for a split second before her hand quickly came up to smack her forehead, if that was the case and they were all out to lunch she could only assume that the people she had been meeting with were also at lunch and most likely assumed that she had ditched them for food as well. She wanted to sulk to the floor and mope about her stupidity and yet she was slightly afraid to do anything else but stand like a good girl and answer questions. Mostly she was going to do it because the man sitting before her was extremely powerful and would most likely beat her to the door before she could even thing about getting to the door, which made no sense but her mind was getting to excited for her to keep rational. Clearing her mind Haruhi decided that if she lived through this ordeal she was going to take a few days off and just well relax and get some rest and maybe work on her deduction skills a bit more.
“ Oh that’s easy I kind of messed up a assignment and buried the house I was suppose to be helping, so everyone kind of got mad at me and I was getting a stern reprimanding but then I kind of had to go to the bathroom. I got lost after that and then I found you” the bubble head had sounded so perky in explaining her dilemma, until she realized she had just admitted all this to the kage and that by doing so she had just told him she had completely botched a mission and in doing so angered the villagers. “ er.. I mean I happen to be meeting with the missions directors about some issues?” it was a horrible attempt to save herself but now she assumed she probably looked like a raving idiot and there was nothing that was going to save her from looking stupid, with a depressed sigh “ Haruhi Ryuunosuke, Chunin rank sir” she almost pitifully blurted out to him, it was the end of time for her there was no way she wasn’t getting out of a punishment for this sort of behavior. Now that she thought about it if she had to do the day over again she most likely would have stayed in bed like she had originally planed to do
