Kirigiri [Mist Cutting]

A village notorious for its swordsmen, more so than even Kumogakure, Kirigakure houses many styles of kenjutsu. Commonly, they are referred to as Kirigiri. Literally, Mist Cutting. In a more eloquent translation, it could be likened to the the statement of "Swords that cut through the Mist", a play on the Seven Swordsmen's ability to fight in the Kirigakure no Jutsu, based on hearing alone, while their opponents are blinded, fearful lambs on their way to slaughter.

Description: Cutting in a wide arc from the left, the user strikes their opponent with their massive sword and strength. This kind of technique will bat a lither target away and cause them to stumble to the side. It's good to knock away blades, or objects that try to cover the user's true target.

Description: A simple mechanic. North Wave is employed from above. Swinging the sword from above and using the power of a jump to accelerate energy, this is a simple, crude but effective way to cut through a stubborn distance. If the opponent's blade holds and does not break, it is likely they will be hammered down with supreme force, if their taijutsu skills are lesser than the user, their defense then becoming compromised.

Description: The user spins to generate power. They cut once, covering a an all-around radius with a protective arc of steel. The rotation of the blade is so fast that it can block two strikes coming from different directions at the same time.

Description: Wielding a cleaver with one hand, leaves the other hand unoccupied. The user shoves their flat palm against the back of their blade, adding an additional boost of strength to their cut. Especially helpful if their blade got stuck. This can reinforce a block also.
