Kirigiri [Mist Cutting]
-- Slice 'n' Dice
A village notorious for its swordsmen, more so than even Kumogakure, Kirigakure houses many styles of kenjutsu. Commonly, they are referred to as Kirigiri. Literally, Mist Cutting. In a more eloquent translation, it could be likened to the the statement of "Swords that cut through the Mist", a play on the Seven Swordsmen's ability to fight in the Kirigakure no Jutsu, based on hearing alone, while their opponents are blinded, fearful lambs on their way to slaughter.

[Spear Wave]
Technique's Label: Kirigakure
Technique Prerequisites: Sword
Rank: D
Type: Kenjutsu (Taijutsu)
Elemental Nature: None
Description: Utilizing a sword in the fashion of a spear, the user thrusts it against their opponent to either throw them to the ground or drive them against a wall. Technically, this is no cut, but a blunt thrust.
Kirigiri: Mizugiri
[Water Cutting]
Technique's Label: Kirigakure
Technique Prerequisites: Sword
Rank: C
Type: Kenjutsu (Taijutsu)
Elemental Nature: None
Description: An advanced cutting technique that is useful against shapes composed of water and chakra and rely on the chakra to keep the water confined in shape manipulation. The user connects their sword with the shape they desire to cut in the motion of a powerful, two-handed slash. The shape will then be bisected, causing water to splash in both directions, the user being left almost dry, as the case of chakra allowing the water shape to take physical form is blown apart.
Kirigiri: Mizunami
[Liquid Wave]
Technique's Label: Kirigakure
Technique Prerequisites: Sword
Rank: C
Type: Kenjutsu (Ninjutsu)
Elemental Nature: Suiton
Speed of Technique: 3x Kunai
Description: In conjunction with the cut of their sword, the user releases a small wave of water, equivalent up half the amount a C-Ranked Suiton jutsu based on handseals could create. This technique can be combined with any basic kenjutsu technique.
Kirigiri: Mizumune
[Swordback Jet]
Technique's Label: Kirigakure
Technique Prerequisites: Sword
Rank: C
Type: Kenjutsu (Taijutsu)
Elemental Nature: Suiton
Speed of Technique: 3x Kunai
Description: Inspired by the Hoozuki clan's Hijutsu, this technique has the user channel chakra at the back of their sword. They will then launch the water in the form of a stream -- not forward at the opponent, however. Rather, from the blade's back (mune); the released jet of water adds a great deal of force to the physical strike of the blade, almost, as if a turbine was driving it for a short period of time.
Kirigiri: Suidansame
[Water Bullet Rain]
Technique's Label: Kirigakure
Technique Prerequisites: Sword
Rank: C
Type: Kenjutsu (Ninjutsu)
Elemental Nature: Suiton
Speed of Technique: 3x Kunai
Description: Yet another form of projecting water from a blade. Where other techniques utilize streams, this cutting technique launches a hail of water bullets in droplet size at the opponent. Due to acceleration and hardening, these minuscule water bullets gain the ability to pierce light layers of protective clothing, can even damage skin. A skilled user may use this in conjunction with yet another technique to harden the bullets further, or transform them into water-based senbon needles.
(Additional technique required for the transformation of bullets.)
