Normally, this was considered his snack hour where he got to eat a bag of chips, but Hideo had been assigned a very important task that needed to be handled immediately. This was the reason why instead of eating something he was running through the village to arrive on time to get his full assignment, and he wasn't making good time as he kept running into roadblocks of sorts. Eventually, a decision was made for him to take a shortcut along the rooftops, which allowed him to not only bypass all the other people in the street but the food shops that had delicious treats on display.
As he was running, Hideo went over in his head exactly what it was he had been told about his assignment, and from what he understood all that was required of him was to deliver the packages that were late for this delivery service. It seemed relatively simple to him, so Hideo wasn't too worried about messing this mission up. Of course, he knew that there was always the chance that something might go wrong, but it wasn't like he was going to run into enemy shinobi inside of his own village. That was as likely as food falling from the sky, and this idea made his mouth water.
Shaking his head to get rid of the image, Hideo hopped down from the rooftops to land in front of the very delivery service who had requested his help, so he quickly walked inside to get his orders. "Greetings sir. Akimichi Hideo reporting for delivering duty, so if you will show me to your packages and the list of where they need to go I will have that taken care of for you as quickly as possible," he announced to the man behind the counter while standing at attention. He wasn't sure what the proper protocol was for how to initiate one of these things, so Hideo was sort of improvising. Word Count: 327

"Here are the boxes that need delivering. Make sure that they sign the form saying that they got them," said the man as he lifted four boxes onto the counter. They weren't really big, but Hideo knew that he was going to have to take his time to keep from dropping them. After all, nobody wanted a dented package.
Stacking them very carefully, Hideo slipped the forms for each in his back pocket. "Don't worry, sir. I'll get them signed and delivered in no time," he said with a smile before turning around and running out the door. The first stop was two streets over, so Hideo ran as quickly as he could through the street while weaving around random strangers. "Excuse me. I have a package to deliver to the head of the house," he called as he stopped in front of his first stop.
"Oh, this must be the the shoes I ordered," the man said as he picked up the box.
"Sir! You need to sign for that first," he stated as he balanced the remaining boxes with one hand while fishing out the form. Once it was signed, Hideo slipped the form into his front pocket and saluted the man before running off to the next drop site, which was just up the road. Running up to the door, Hideo pulled out the form and stuck it on top of the box that was being dropped off to save time. "Sign here," he said quickly. Once it was done, he slipped the form into his pocket and tipped the boxes forward so that the right one slid into the arms of the woman who had signed for it. "Have a nice day."
After he had run around the corner, Hideo had to stop for a minute to catch his breath after running all out for the five minutes. "Just a ten second break to verify my location." Word Count: 321

If he had known that the third package needed to be delivered inside of a restaurant then he would have made it the fourth package, but it was too late for that now. Holding his breath, Hideo walked up to the counter of the restaurant and set the package on the counter with the form. "Package for the manager. Please sign here," he said quickly as he stared at the man at the registered. Well, it took about ten more minutes of standing in a restaurant as the guy went into the back to get the manager, and during that time Hideo had to breathe which led to him taking in all the delicious smells around him.
With this great temptation around him, it took all of Hideo's restraint to keep from ordering something, but he lasted long enough for the manager to come up and sign for the package and then shoo him away. "Have a nice day, sir." His last words before bolting out the door and heading straight to the last drop point, and when he arrived there was an old man waiting there for him with a cane. The first thing that the old man did was bop him on the shin for.
"You're late," he bellowed as he swung the cane some more in a menacing way.
"Sorry sir. If you just sign on the dotted line, then the package is yours," said Hideo as he moved appropriately to avoid the can. The man grudgingly signed the form and grabbed his package, but before leaving delivered another whack except it was to Hideo's behind. With that motivation under his belt, he jogged all the way back to delivery service, and pushed open the door.
"Took you long enough," said the man as he took the forms that Hideo had brought back. "Thanks for the help."
Hideo shrugged at the comment. It wasn't his fault that the restaurant had been crowded or the manager had taken forever coming out to get his package, but there was no need to mention it. After all, there was barbecue waiting for him, and he couldn't let it get any colder. "Your Welcome, sir. If you need anymore help, then please put in a request. I'd be more than happy to return to assist you on meeting your deadlines." With that being said, Hideo turned around and exited the building. It was time for lunch. Word Count: 405
