The Corsac Fox clan of the Foxes of the Silent Shrine contract remain a mystery to most. They are the fifth great fox clan, the keepers of the Silent Shrine. The Corsac clan is the only permanently matriarchal fox clan, and they are the only fox clan that does not heed the call of every summoner - Corsac foxes are more selective about the company they keep.

Corsac foxes are embodiments of peace. They exude serenity and have the patience of saints. They are closer to the spiritual world than most, and legend says they are spirits - but of course, that isn't true.

Corsac foxes take pride in balance of all kinds, and that includes their skills. They are masters of no skill, preferring to have a wide variety of equally useful skills. Do not underestimate them because of this, for if you do, death will find you swiftly.

The Corsac Fox clan does not follow the fox king Kishin; they respect his leadership but prefer to govern themselves.

Shincho is an eighteen foot tall fox with six tails. She has grey to yellowish fur over much of the body, with paler underparts and pale markings on the mouth, chin, and throat, like all Corsac Foxes.

Personality:

Shincho is a wise leader that possesses much foresight and knowledge. She is not only feared, but greatly respected. The Corsac clan leader is calm, patient, and unflappable, and tends to remain neutral in conflicts.

---Special Abilities:

Kitsune Shapeshifting: All kitsune have the ability to change their size, number of visible tails, and the color of their fur, to a limited extent. Only the most powerful kitsune can shift to any combination of those three that they want; younger and less powerful kitsune can use only the most basic changes, like lightening their fur a shade or two.

Suiton Manipulation: Corsac foxes are always born with an affinity for suiton. They are the only foxes that can manipulate water, and it renders them entirely incapable of controlling fire. Still, their suiton techniques are not to be underestimated.

Fuuton Manipulation: Corsac foxes often discover a secondary affinity for wind. While they cannot manipulate it as well as they can water, they can whip up fierce gales with their tails.

Kitsune Seduction: A form of genjutsu unique to kitsune; using the swaying of their tails (as only kitsune with five or more tails can use this ability) they put the victim into a world created entirely in the kitsune's mind, usually full of blood, gore, and spirits. The best way to break out of the seduction is to have another person turn you away from the kitsune; as soon as your line of sight with the tails is broken, the seduction loses all effects.

Spirit Chant: Corsac foxes are close to the spirit world, and thus can conjure up images of ghostly apparitions with ease. They do not have the ability to call actual spirits back from the afterlife, but this kitsune genjutsu is so realistic that it appears they have done just that.
