SARUKEN | APE FIST
The Ape Fist style focuses on reaction time, speed and precise strikes. The style is flexible in the sense that the practitioner always as a chance to turn a failed strike to his advantage. One must be extremely light and vigilant to accomplish this. While strength isn't a major factor, a practitioner's strength does indeed intensify the style. A practitioner of the style wouldn't be seen placing a firm foot on the ground. Rather, they use speed to strike a blow and then seemingly stay low before landing another one. While this style is named Ape 'Fist', it not necessarily uses only fists. Over time has it molded to accommodate elbow, knuckle, knee, foot an even the ball of the heel. Usage of Shusnhin is a major part of the style.
Technique Name:Saruken : [Mukōnisuru] Ape Fist | Diasble
Technique's Label: Universal
Technique Prerequisites: Saruken Practioner| Shunshin - C | Taijutsu - C
Rank: C
Type: Taijutsu
Elemental Nature: N/A
Speed of Technique: N/A
Description:The user uses shushin to cover distance over the enemy. Once gained, the practioner performs a midair roundhouse motion used for a kich. However, instead of using their feet, he/she slams their knee into the side of the victim's head, more precisely behind the ear. If hit, the blow can cause internal bleeding and immense pain. However if not, the practitioner must react quickly by bringing their upper body weight downward by using their strong arm to lean on the victim's body [usually the head or the shoulder]. By doing so, they can throw the victim off balance. The user can then use this to his advantage by dispersing with the use of Shunshin or landing another strike. The technique is more efficient if done from height or if the practitioner is taller than the victim.
Technique Name:Saruken : [Busō kaijo suruu] Ape Fist | Disarm
Technique's Label: Universal
Technique Prerequisites: Saruken Practioner | Shunshin - C | Taijutsu - C
Rank: C
Type: Taijutsu
Elemental Nature: N/A
Speed of Technique: N/A
Description:A technique used to disarm a person of his/her weapon [usually for a sword/knife or any sort of pointed weapon]. The user deflects the arm in which the weapon rests towards the opponent's line of symmetry which then in-turn exposes his back. The user then slides his/her hand to the victims forearm to grab his wrist. By placing a thumb on the victim's inner writs and the user's four fingers on the back of his hand, the practitioner bends his enemies wrist inward while applying pressure to the victim's triceps right above the elbow. The user is now positioned behind the opponent. These actions will stiffen the opponent's arm and hyper-flex his wrist making the opponent lose hold of his/her weapon. The user can then either bring the opponent to the ground or land a blow. The effectiveness of this tech depends on the opponent's Bukijutsu skill. A person with B-Rank and above Bukijutsu would be able to hold onto their weapons.
