Special Traits: THE HARE The Tozuka have been gifted with traits of the Hare. Having a immense stamina tank , members of this clan can run for miles before tiring themselves. Tozukas are born with heightened sense of hearing, sight and smell. Many rely on instinct though are quite deceitful as well. Their high affinity to fuuton is such that members easily learn how to control the element and use basic techniques at a very young age. They also have rather powerful limbs and flexible bones, making them apt at close combat [though they usually focus on ninjutsu technique]. SOYOKAZE The Tozukas have been gifted with Soyokaze [Silent Wind Technique] allowing them usage of Fuuton for extreme speed and also silent assassination techniques. Soyokaze works such that members are born with certain enzymes which can be emitted along with the wind they manipulate. These enzymes outside a Tozuka's body can be lethal on too much exposure or inhalation. They call it the Soyo Poison, and can be tapped by the members at any time to release along with their chakra or concentrated from the pores of their skin. The effectiveness and enzyme produce have all segregated into six grades, with enzymes of easier production grouped in grade 1 and the most lethal and difficult ones at grade 6. Clan members however are immune to it and hence is unharmed. Their body is immune to most kind of external poisons and hence are able to even produce an antidote to cure one of it. MEDICINE Members of the clan, while not specialists in medical jutsu are quite talented in making portions and medicines required for healing. They also have learnt how to create poisons of different levels. Younger generations now have been thought how to make basic medicine for injuries and minor illnesses. Living with basic resources for decades, they have learnt to make the best of their resources. PHYSIQUE Members of this clan can be assumed by their rather fair complexion and sleek built. They usually posses dark hair and vivid eye colours that look translucent. Women have a rather small built and their average height is around 5'6 - 5'8 , while men have a small to medium built and attain the height or around 6'0 - 6'2. Rarely does a Tozuka ever archive a highly muscular structure.
Historical Background:
Perhaps long before war, the Tozuka were never really a clan. The name Tozuka was never truly the name of the clan to begin with. Instead, they were a rather small group of folk known as the Usagi. The Usagi, though seemingly fragile were usually appointed jobs such as assassins and courier during war. This was due to their special ability of being able to use the wind nature to increase their speed. It was perhaps a kekkei genkai as the Usagi found it quite easy to manipulate wind. Further more they're speed and agility was superior such that one needed quite the focus to see and hear an approaching Usagi.
As time passed, the Usagi clan's service to the country had gained respect such that a Damiyo from the clan had risen. Many thought that due to this achievement, the clan would soon attain a stable power in the country's politics. Unfortunately, these dreams of the Usagi were shattered at the cowardice and betrayal of the Usagi Damiyo to the country. The betrayal put a black mark on all Usagis, having them being discriminated and stripped of the power.
The timing was such that the war was approaching. As and when it did, many Usagi were defenseless - having not able to hold proper professions. Many left their villages - some even leaving their country. Due to great pressure on the expanding clan, the Usagi who had no choice took to criminal life for a living. Starting with petty thievery of food , the generations of Usagi to come took to greater crimes such as burglaries, black market dealing and even murder. As years past, the Usagi had then been given the name of Tozuka [Thieves of the night]. Many had bounties on their heads and even those of the clan who were innocent had to face the hatred of society.
As years passed - the reputation of the clan had been such that order was given to kill any member on sight. Misime - the leader of clan based in Konohagakure, saw no future if the situation hadn't anytime soon. Even though her clan and family had been spread far and wide throughout the region - she decided to take initiative and try and live peacefully as citizens in the village. She received much negative responses for the proposal by the village elders for the crimes committed by her clan. Debates were going on about the clan , however no proper judgement was given till after the war.
When the war was over, the leaders finally shifted their attention to the Tozuka. A final judgement was passed that those under Misime's part of the clan would be accepted as citizens and could lead a normal life in the village. However , any Tozuka's name on bounty would not be granted pardon and hence they would be prosecuted if caught. However the wounds didn't heal rather easily, while the Tozuka began trying to blend in, they often were denied service and jobs. Now, twelve years passing - the Tozuka live better yet not without circumstances. Outside the country, the clans are scattered throughout the regions. And outside the village, most have requested protection while they are still many who prefer the underworld.
