Katsuro was flipping through a magazine as he heard a knock at his door, which he then got up and answered. It was a mission as he expected, but he figured it was not an Hunter Nin based one as they would never send it by letter, because of risk of the information getting to unwanted people. As he looked at this mission he would tilt his head, in confusion, it was a C rank mission. He needed to take this blacksmith from a neighboring village to Kiri and while he was slightly confused about why they would send someone as high ranking as him, he remembered that we were in desperate need for weapon smiths and we needed to make sure that they got here ok. Katsuro sighed as he knew that if they wanted this black smith to get here safely, of course they would sent him. Katsuro would walk over to his closet and then get ready for a mission.
Katsuro would walk out of his house several minutes later. He was wearing his normal set of clothing which was a specialized version of the traditional Kiri-Nin ensemble, consisting of a light lavender, loose-fitting, long-sleeved, zip-up shirt, black pants cut off around mid-calf, bandages wrapped around his ankles, and traditional shinobi sandals. This look made him stick out a little bit, but he never really cared as he almost wanted people to know who he was and what he was known for. Katsuro was the only living person to carry Shikotsumyaku, or Dead Bone Pulse, which greatly enhanced his abilities in Taijustu and defense. Katsuro walked to the place where he would be meeting the other person for this mission, being told that the girl needed the experience of doing this kind of mission and she would benefit from being next to a Taijustu master. Katsuro did not disagree with this thought but he figured there was a better way to train this girl then for her to go out on his mission with him, as there would most likely not be any fighting at all and if there was he would most likely have to end it quickly and swiftly as he didn't wish for the girl to be hurt if he could help it. Katsuro as he waited began to form small figures of bone, in the shape of dragons and tigers and other powerful and strong animals. Katsuro did this during his free time to keep himself busy and to increase his already masterful bloodline technique's ability.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true]she looks like a teenage anthem she looks like she used to be happy with the girl inside she looks so bored sometimes and she has that super pale skin and those soft green eyes she looks like she could have been happy in a better life i tell myself the same damn thing everything will be alright -- Iku had been sitting in front of the mirror in the bedroom she shared with her twin sister, trying to get her stupidly obstinate hair to do what she wanted it to do, when her mother knocked on the door. "Go away." the girl muttered, not moving from her spot.
Of course, her mother didn't listen, and entered the bedroom. She didn't say anything, just set an envelope down on top of Iku's unopened makeup case and then left. What could that be? All interest in fixing her hair forgotten - for the moment, anyway - she set down her brush and opened the envelope. Another mission? Awesome! But this warranted a change in clothing - with her new vow to take being a shinobi more seriously, she wasn't going to go on a C-Rank mission wearing a dress. Not this time, anyway. So one quick change later - into a white shirt and black shorts - and after she'd forced her hair into a messy ponytail, Iku was ready to go.
She no longer had her staff - and besides, she wasn't studying bojutsu anymore, so she didn't need it - so there wasn't anything else for her to grab. Except... maybe it would be a good idea to wear her Kiri headband for once. Yeah, that was probably pretty important. Once that was done, she headed out the door, not even calling goodbye to her mother.
Well, she probably wasn't going to be late, since she hadn't spent forty-five minutes on her hair and makeup, but Iku still ran to the spot where she was supposed to meet the other shinobi going on the mission. She figured that he was probably a jonin, or a chunin at the very least - most of the time, genin didn't get to go on C-Rank missions without older shinobi. When she arrived, she found that - of course - the other guy was already there. And he was doing something with... well, it looked like he was making bone carvings, maybe?

She was clearly a genin, due to her extremely young age and the fact that he could just tell that she had not been though the shit as of yet. That will change soon enough but no reason to put her in unneeded danger. Katsuro would look over at the genin, a small bone dragon in his hand, which was breathing fire. This looked to be an extremely well made piece, and as she walked towards him and asked what he was doing he would simply stop using his bloodline, making the bone statue solidify and harden to the point of diamond. Katsuro would simply look at the girl and say “I am waiting for you…..” his ice blue eyes staring at the women for moment before gently throwing the dragon to her. “Here is a gift… let’s hope this mission doesn’t have any problems so you can live long enough to enjoy it...”
Katsuro would being to walk outside of the village, knowing very well the girl would follow if she was going to do the mission. Katsuro knew that if something went south, he could most likely handle whatever came at them because this was just a C rank mission, but that doesn’t mean that a rogue ninja or higher skilled opponents could attack instead. It has happened before, and it will always happen. As they walked, he would try and not outrun the little genin, as he had no idea how fast she really was. Katsuro looked on at the genin for a moment and say “You will stay within 20 feet of me at all times…. If you do not… I can’t guarantee you’re safely on this trip, and I would rather not have your death on my hands…”
As the duo walked, Katsuro did not want to take paths where they could be easily ambushed, or a place where he could easily ambush them so they were taking the routes with the least amount of trees and things that could hide traps and other things. Katsuro was also a master of the Silent Killing Technique, meaning that he could hear things outside of the normal realm, so much so that he is able to hunt down and kill a person without even seeing him which gives him a massive advantage. Katsuro had a bad feeling about this, and he could not quite place it but he knew that something bad was about to happen but he was not sure what. |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true]she looks like a teenage anthem she looks like she used to be happy with the girl inside she looks so bored sometimes and she has that super pale skin and those soft green eyes she looks like she could have been happy in a better life i tell myself the same damn thing everything will be alright -- Iku caught the little bone dragon and studied it with interest. It was smooth and perfectly made and looked like it came from the workshop of someone with decades of experience crafting things like this. In short, it was gorgeous, and it was awesome. "Huh... well, thanks! It's really nice... how did you do that?" This man would soon learn that, if you gave the girl an opportunity, she would ask you questions until she couldn't talk - probably because whoever she was pestering was trying to strangle her, honestly, it had happened more than once. "And, well... we shouldn't have any problems, right? I mean, it's just a C-Rank mission, and you've got to be a jonin, am I right? Plus, for a genin, I'm not really all that bad."
She stuffed the little dragon in her pocket and followed the guy out of the village. "So, uh, what's your name? Or, well, what do you want me to call you? 'Cause it's going to be weird if I'm just like 'hey, guy, what's up' or something like that." To be honest, she was a little nervous - not only because she'd never met this guy or even heard of him before, and not because he seemed to think something would go wrong, though those were certainly a part of it - but because she felt a little naked without a weapon on her. Her staff had been like part of her, and so now that she didn't have it, it felt like she was missing a limb or something, which totally sucked. She was going to have to get a replacement weapon soon, or she felt like she might go crazy.
"Hey now, I'm not going to just go and die on a C-Rank mission. I'm not that dumb." Iku grumbled under her breath, but she moved a little closer to him than she had been before. Man, why couldn't Sherbet Head or even her sister come on this mission too? She didn't get the impression that this was a guy that liked to chitchat, so she was probably going to be bored out of her skull the entire time... Although, maybe that was how you were supposed to act to be professional, so maybe she should actually try to shut her mouth for once. Hm. Well, time would tell. words: 407 tags: katsuro notes: 755/3000 lyrics: amphetamine by everclear credit: akemi of btn |

As he walked though this lightly forested area, he was listening to her questions and was answering them as best as he could “How I did that was from years of practice” “Everything doesn’t allows happen like it should… and just because this is a C rank mission does not mean that there is not ‘unforeseen’ people waiting where we are going, such as Rogue Ninja…” “My name is Katsuro Kaguya, and you can either call me Katsuro or sir… I don’t care.” Katsuro had the patience of a saint when it came to girls, mostly because he refused to allow himself to snap at them but this girl was quickly getting on his nerves if only because they were on a mission, and a mission that Katsuro himself did not feel that great about.
At her final question he would turn to her, and this time that ice cold stare could form ice on a tree if he looked at it for too long. “ You say that, but that doesn’t make it true, you could still die on this mission just as you could die on an A rank… now please be quiet… we are on a mission and if we are in danger of being ambushed I would rather not give away our position, unless you want to risk dying? “ Katsuro knew the answer to this so he would simply ignore anything she said afterward as he continued to walk. Katsuro did not feel good about this at all, and he could not put his finger on it but for whatever reason he was not as ease like he should be. Katsuro would keep walking, his eyes and his ears open to any and all threats to his life and the life of the small child, which is almost more important to him then the mission… almost.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true]she looks like a teenage anthem she looks like she used to be happy with the girl inside she looks so bored sometimes and she has that super pale skin and those soft green eyes she looks like she could have been happy in a better life i tell myself the same damn thing everything will be alright -- What was up with that freaking glare? She'd just asked a few questions. Iku frowned. "Yeah, I know everything doesn't always go as planned, but I can hope, right?" She wasn't stupid - she knew that things could, and very often did, go wrong, especially in the shinobi world. But that wasn't something she had experienced yet, and to be honest, she really didn't want to - not until she was a little more experienced. She'd been a genin for about a year, but she'd spent most of that time without a sensei, training on her own most of the time because she'd pissed off her sister again - the reasons why were infinite - and she just really didn't think she was ready for something like that - most especially a rogue ninja. They didn't exactly tend to be on genin level...
"Katsuro, got it." She wasn't going to call him 'sir,' that was for sure. He certainly wasn't going to earn her respect by being a dick. Wait. An idea was beginning to form. He acted like a dick... and he carved bones... man, this was a golden opportunity for a hilarious nickname. "Actually... how do you feel about nicknames? 'Cause I've got a good one for you. Do you mind if I call you Boner? You can't deny that it fits." She was half serious and half joking - she really would call him Boner, so long as he didn't strangle her for it - but she was also hoping that she could maybe just get a laugh out of him and then she'd drop it. Probably. Maybe. Okay, well, no. She wouldn't drop it.
Iku sighed, kind of exasperated. "I know, okay? I know. Fucking sue me for trying to be an optimist." She then did as he requested and shut her mouth - it would suck pretty hard if she somehow managed to die. words: 328 tags: katsuro notes: 1083/3000 lyrics: amphetamine by everclear credit: akemi of btn |

Katsuro listen to her speak for a single moment as he would turn his head and say " On a mission.. the best you can hope for is the worst... Always plan for the worst to happen to you while you are on a mission... that is what I do and it has kept me alive so far. " as they walked he knew they had several more miles to go until they reached the town where the man was at and he could not help but sigh loudly as he knew that he would most likely have to listen to this women talk more nonsense until they reached that point. The White Samurai would put his hands in his pockets as he walked, feeling slightly more at ease as he figured that if anyone was going to attack they would have done so by now but he knew that he would have also waited until his enemy was at ease before pouncing on him and ending his life.
Katsuro looked back at her for a moment as she started to talk again, and until he heard the nickname he was about to give her another chance, but after hearing it he said to himself " Well.. that was quick how easily that ended... " Katsuro then made up a choice in his mind that no matter what this women said to him, unless it was " HELP!!!" he was going to simply ignore anything and everything she said because he had a feeling that him threatening her and then possibly breaking both of her legs is not going to help the place at all because it was his job to protect her on this mission, not to hurt her.

Iku looked over at him for a moment and frowned. "It's just.. I-I haven't done many missions outside the village.. hardly any C-Ranks at all. I don't really know what to expect and I'm kind of nervous, okay? I don't want to fuck everything up..." It was a difficult thing for her to admit - that she didn't know what she was doing and was a little nervous and scared - but she thought that it might make him understand her actions a little better, and maybe he would be less of a dick because of it. Well. He probably wouldn't be, but she figured she'd better explain herself anyway.
"Uh.. so... as a more experienced shinobi, do you have any more sage advice about how to act on missions like this?" Iku wanted to like him. She really did. But with the way he had acted so far, she really just wanted to punch him in the face... and that probably wasn't going to change anytime soon. He didn't seem like the kind of guy to offer advice to genin or have a nice chat with someone. She knew it was good to act professional while on missions, but the guy needed to take that oversized stick out of his ass and freaking lighten up. If he was like this all the time... Well, he was probably a very lonely man.
"...I promise I won't call you Boner again." she muttered under her breath - a peace offering, to show that she really wasn't quite as annoying as she seemed. Ehe... Most of the time, anyway. "Sorry about that. It was pretty immature of me." He was probably just going to ignore her apology - he didn't seem to want to listen to anything she said at all... words: 312 tags: katsuro notes: 1395/3000 lyrics: amphetamine by everclear credit: akemi of btn |
