"Ahhhhh. Back in the mist finally." It had been almost a month since Akido found himself covered in the mist that was his village's namesake. He missed it a little bit. He knew that usually his time in the village was short before he would end up again on a mission to profit the village. It wasn't anything that Akido minded. All it meant was more victims for him and his sword. As well as the Legend of The Gentle Beast of The Mist. Soon he would his reputation alone would make it so he could receive the title of Mizukage. It was just like Akido to think about business and positions of power when he was on his day off. Regardless he walked through the village with his sword on his back.
The looks he received almost brought a smile to his face. People knew and respected the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist. In a way they were feared but at the same time people envied them. To become a one of them you had to be one of the best swordsmen the shinobi world had ever seen and for the most part Akido believed he was leaps and bound better than anyone who had ever touched a sword. If he had the chance he would probably take everyone else's sword and keep them all for himself. It would make him the most feared Swordsman ever.
Ambition Ambition Ambition. That was all it was really about. If you believed you could in the Shinobi world it was possible and now Akido believed it was tea time. He found himself waiting in life for tea behind a few citizens. Aggravation settled in his mind as none of them offered their spot in line to one of the most well respected jonin in the village. He had half the mind to kill one of them. He could make the excuse he had felt disrespected. It worked last time at least.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true]you had your heart set on an angel's kiss maybe a taste of bliss maybe a long white dress and a fistful of flowers you wrapped your arms around a murderer pretending it didn't hurt every time i cut you deeper and deeper i'm not the one i'm not the one Iku had the feeling that today was going to be a great day. She had been awake since dawn - which was business as usual, despite the genin not being a morning person at all - but, instead of using those extra hours when people were sleeping and the village was still quiet to do her hair and makeup and pick the perfect dress, she was now using those hours for training with her new ninjato. She would admit that she hadn't been very good with the sword when she had first picked it up - okay, so maybe 'not very good' wasn't an accurate description of that particular train wreck - but hey, she was picking things up quickly. Or at least she thought so - it was harder to learn without a teacher, but Iku would be damned if she let that stop her.
She was wearing a white shirt and loose-fitting black pants, and - though it still pained her to refrain from styling her hair until it was perfect - her knee-length white hair was tied back into a messy braid. Her mother had suggested getting it cut, but Iku would kill herself before she got rid of her beautiful hair. Maybe it could use a little bit of a trim - maybe. But for now, it was going to stay as it was.
She had been out in the training grounds for hours, and man, she was beat. Iku slid her ninjato back into its sheath and leaned against a tree, breathing hard. Covered in dirt and sweat, the genin was sure she was highly unattractive, but you know what? Right now, she didn't care. Yes, you heard that right - Yasui Iku, of all people, didn't care how attractive she looked. She had finally gotten the hang of a move that she'd been working on for days, and she was so freaking happy.
Well, she figured, that was enough work for now. She needed a break, and maybe some food or something. Iku didn't usually eat much, but the extra training was really making her appetite grow. Heading out of the training ground, she decided that she just wanted to go for tea for now. Honestly, she would probably end up going home and making a sandwich or three instead of buying anything. Sandwiches were doable. Tea, on the other hand... Iku was one of those people that could burn water and often set the kitchen on fire by accident, so...
Yawning, she headed into the village, and joined the first line for tea she came across - it would take too much effort to wander around and find the one with the shortest line, so... And boy, it looked like she was in for a wait. Great. She was stuck staring at the back of this ridiculously tall dude with black and white hair, dressed in some sort of funky robe thing. And on his back... Well, damn. That... that was Kubikiribouchou, wasn't it? He was one of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist.
"So cool..." she murmured, studying the sword. Recently, she had met the wielder of Samehada, and learned that the sword was sentient - and it liked her, which made her feel pretty damn special - and so she was wondering if Kubikiribouchou maybe had some sort of special power too. Well, she was torn between asking him and possibly risking pissing him off - the Swordsmen didn't seem to be the most friendly of fellows - and just standing there and staring at the sword. Hm. Why couldn't she do both? Being impatient and angry wasn't helping the lives of the people in front of Akido. With each moment he waited he reached a new level of anger. He felt disrespected. In his youth people would move out of the way when they saw one of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist past. These people acted like he wasn't the superior person here.
He was not to be on the back of lines. Lines were suppose to break in his appearance and let him take his rightful spot ahead of the others. Although these ideas in his mind were immature it made no difference to him. He believed his years of service and still not having the position he rightfully deserves is all disrespect sent his way by the Mist village. One day they would respect him as the soon to be rightful leader of the mist village or feel his wrath.
That was when he heard it. The silly question of whether or not he was one of the Seven. Of course he was one of them. Why else would the sword be on his back. He turned around in frustration to see who had been dumb enough to ask the question. He wasn't surprised to see a child. A girl with long white hair standing right behind him on this never ending line for tea. "Why else would I have the sword if I wasn't a fucking Swordsmen of the Mist?" His voice filled with frustration and his face full of disgust the girl would be on the receiving end of it all. Maybe he was being a little harsh on the girl but he honestly didn't care. She asked the question and he felt she deserved any answer he believed was appropriate at the time. "At least you noticed a God among men in your presents. It was sarcasm in his voice. The girl was the only one to acknowledge him and that was worth something.
He turned back to the rest of the people in line. Even with his momentary distraction not one person had moved in this damn line. It was at that moment that Akido realized he would no longer be waiting in this damn line. He walked off line deciding that he would again trek the whole village on the way to his home on the other side of town. There he would be greeted by booze. One of his most favorite things in the world. Which was of course the nectar of the gods as he liked to call it. He hoped to have no more aggravations on his slow stroll to his home. He didn't want to have to be involved in the beheading of an insignificant life that had decided to get on his bad side.

"You should watch your mouth, before I pry that sword from your cold hands." This talk was normal for those amongst the Seven Swordsman- but even with Fuku being a calm person he did feel somewhat ostracised from the group itself- but still the group needed to be treated with respect. Sure- but there were limits and being huffy because of kids who were clearly minding their own business. They had a reputation to uphold, and that reputation would only be tarnished by this man.
Fuku stood in the street that the same of the man- and Fuku spoke in such a voice that people did instead turn around. And then they noticed the two Swordsman. Words of awe and chilling fear struck into them- along with the grudging respect of Shinobi that were passing by but had now stopped to watch. "You tarnish our name as swordsmen with an attitude like that towards our citizens. Are you not ashamed, lest the name swordsman is something too befitting to you? I'm told there is a good Bojutsu school in Iwagakure, should you pursue an easier art."
And Fuku knew what he was saying. A small smirk came from his lips- one arm leaning on Samehada wrapped in bandages, the other on his hip. To insult someone's skill in swordsmanship.. Now that- that was a way to anger a swordsman. Then to top it off with the finest cherry of them all- undermining him with petty triviality. Now; normally Fuku wouldn't have been so downright rude... but this man possessed something that Fuku intensely disliked- ignorance. Exclusion of knowledge. No knowledge of something.
He was close to this man now, possibly not even 5 meters away. "Iku-chan." he gave a slight nod, keeping his eyes on the man. Hamada Akido.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true]you had your heart set on an angel's kiss maybe a taste of bliss maybe a long white dress and a fistful of flowers you wrapped your arms around a murderer pretending it didn't hurt every time i cut you deeper and deeper i'm not the one i'm not the one Iku raised a brow at the man. Really? "It was just a fucking question, there's no need to be such a dick about it." Her mouth often got her in trouble, and this was most definitely going to be one of the times it did - she didn't really have much respect for people, especially not when they just turned around and swore at her like she was some kind of idiot. What was the big deal? It was a better conversation opener than 'hey dude, nice sword' - in her mind, anyway.
She narrowed her eyes and gave him the meanest glare she could muster - it was nothing, compared to his expression, but she wasn't just going to stand there and let him insult her without getting pissed off. "A god among men? How about you get a reality check and pop that overinflated ego of yours before you float away like a balloon? You're sure full of enough hot air."
And then... Then the asshole had the audacity to just walk away. Oh, she wanted to punch him in his ugly fucking face now. Of course, there was no way - he'd probably chop her head off before she could even get close enough - but it was still a satisfying thought. So the genin did what anyone else would do - okay, well, probably no one else would do it - and chased after him. "Hey! Wait up, Kubikiribouchou guy!"
She stopped for a moment and turned to find the source of the order to Kubikiribouchou guy - and the insult to what had been her favorite subject to study up until recently. "Oh, hey there, Fuku!" Iku had thought about calling him Samehada guy again, and maybe telling him off about the bojutsu comment, but she was already treading on thin ice with the man, and it probably wouldn't be a good idea to piss off two of the Seven Swordsmen in the space of five minutes. words: 330 tags: akido, fuku notes: - - - lyrics: nothing to do with love by halestorm credit: akemi of btn * you wanna give your heart to |

Akido completely ignored the girl she was no longer the topic of interest. It was now the other Swordsmen who had the audacity to insult him. Mere moments before he was just going to walk to his house and fill his stomach with the finest liquors now. Now he was being spoken to in the streets of his village like he was pathetic. The nerve of Fuku to speak to him like this. "You couldn't get this sword out of my hands dead or alive." Akido looked at the man with a lack of interest. The streets now seemed to notice the man with the Kubikiribocho. Only for the scene now made by Fuku and his apparent need to be the knight in shining armor for a girl who was dumb question irritated Akido.
"Now let's not get out of hand Fuku. You have but been a Swordsmen of The Mist for how long? You know that quarrels with you are of no interest to me. You and that sword of yours don't have enough experience together to pose a threat to me. Perhaps you couldn't even slay me if I was barehanded and you still held the Samehada. Besides I am but a Sentinel of this village. The way I speak means nothing as long as the job is done."
The obvious response for Akido was insults of his own. He was after all the second longest tenured swordsman with his sword. The Kubikirbocho had been with him for 5 years and he planned to keep it with him for a very long time. He had known Fuku's predecessor and to be fair he didn't think very highly of her. He believed he could have easily taken the sword from her in a fight to the death but Fuku had beaten him to it. Regardless the man had earned the right to hold the sword but that didn't make Akido respect him anymore or less. When he realized that Fuku had acknowledged someone else he noticed the girl that had followed him. Of course Akido would finish his speech with a little sarcasm. He though higher of his self than a Sentinel for the village but the way he was treated at times by the village made him feel like that's what they saw him as. Not as the brilliant warrior he was but as a simple pawn in their game of chess with the other villages.
"A friend of yours I would assume." Akido wasn't fond of making companions with the children of the next generation of Shinobi. It was precisely why he had avoided becoming a Jonin Sensei for a squad of 3. He wasn't made for that type of tomfoolery but it had seem his counterpart had involved himself with this child.

"Now, is that a challenge? I wouldn't want to beat you, I don't have enough room in my house to store Kubikirbocho." Akido was right, he didn't have a lot of experience with Samehada. But he still had enough and for someone who practised with swords for the majority of his life- changing sword posed no threat to him. When he spoke of a job being done- Fuku scoffed. "You have no job being in Kirigakure right now, or has someone put you on D-ranks?"
One of the greatest things being a swordsman verbally attacking another swordsman is that you could shrug off their insults pretty well. If you knew your own skill you'd be fine, or the temperament was good for the day- Fuku could shrug things off. Fuku had started ignoring the girl. He knew she was there but he had more important things to deal with. He felt a bead of sweat begin to form in his hand, clutched upon Samehada. "I would very much like for you to try, we can see if I end the bond between you and that sword."
And so it happened, Fuku picked up his sword with his right hand- the one leaning on Samehada and brought it up over his shoulder, and then out to his side with a straight arm, Samehada gave a little gurgle from underneath the bandages. With the flick of his wrist, Samehada's bandages came undone and come to a pile on the floor. "I'll have to buy new ones now..." he wouldn't put such dirty clothing on Samehada. Some of the felllow Shinobi and civilians how now long backed off- knowing of what was probably about to happen. Regardless of Akido, Fuku was going to attack. He stood there for a few moments.
He swung the sword with no swaying of his arm- no choreography to show he was going to attack, and Samehada began elongating from the hilt as Fuku moved forward and stepping out to , albeit from the distance away that he was. Samehada, unless blocked would smash into his left side- the other side of his body. Unfortunately, the chance of that being slim since Kubikiribocho was still on Akido's back. Though, he probably would parry- otherwise how could he be called a swordsman?

"Don't worry my sword will be leaving with me." The other comment Fuku made was unimportant to Akido. He ignored it this insult fest was beginning to annoy him. It was at the moment seeming like they were measuring dicks trying to see who would back down first. It wasn't in his benefit to respond anyway. This was his village after all. There was no reason for him to explain his being in it or departing from it. All it would do is continue this argument he didn't want to be apart of anyway. That was when Fuku laid down the challenge. If he thought he was going to end Akido's life he was mistaken.
Before even giving a verbal response in he took the Kubikiribocho off his back. Too many times before had he been in situations like this. The Seven Swordsmen were always trying to test their skills against each other. Over his years within the group he had become too used to having his sword being challenge by his brothers in arms as he liked to called them. They were the only ones who ever interested him in challenging fights when it came to swords. Whenever he left the village the competition dwindled severely. He took the KubiKiribocho off his back as he jumped backwards escaping the swing of the sword while also making a little bit of space between them.
"You've made quite a fuss in front of all these villagers." Akido could feel all their eyes on him and his counterpart. This was probably the high point of all their pathetic lives. Seeing two juggernauts of the mist about to spar for their own delight. Akido quickly swung his blade at the right mid section of Fuku when he charged forward. It was a strike that could be easily guarded against but that's what Akido wanted. At the moment all he wanted to do was put on a show.

Don't you just ignore me!" Iku huffed, crossing her arms over her chest. "Hmmph." She was so irritated that it took her a few minutes to realize just why the man's attention was otherwise occupied - of course, he couldn't have simply been ignoring her, that was nonsense; no one ignored Iku - it appeared that the two Swordsmen were going to duke it out in the middle of the village. Well, she might as well stick around to catch the show.
Man, Fuku really didn't take kindly to insults, or even just rudeness.. She knew for damn sure that she wouldn't willingly fight Kubikiribouchou guy, even if she were a jonin with another of the seven swords on her side. Because, after all... he had freaking Kubikiribouchou, and he definitely knew how to use it, right? Yeah, that was one sword she did not want to be on the business end of. Ever. Samehada was great and all, but she didn't really see how it would be good against the other Swordsman. It ate chakra, but unless Fuku could just stand there and suck all the chakra out of the other guy, it wasn't going to hamper him much.
Iku backed off a little - that was one fight it would be suicidal to be in the middle of, even if accidentally. "Pfft. Fuku's awesome... not a dick like you." she muttered under her breath, so neither of the men could probably hear it. Then the fight began - Fuku made the first move - and, if she didn't think it might have been distracting, Iku would have cheered for him. This was so exciting - she'd never seen two swordsmen of their caliber - or any caliber, really - spar, so this was going to be awesome. words: 302 tags: akido, fuku notes: - - - lyrics: nothing to do with love by halestorm credit: akemi of btn * you wanna give your heart to |

Was this guy stupid?
Now Fuku didn't need to do much. As he had only moved forward and stepped out to gather enough momentum and speed for his swing- he was stilll ways away when Samehada was elongating- Akido jumped back then... swung for him?
If he remembered correctly, Fuku was now at most- four meters away from him, due to him stepping forward- that blade wouldn't hit him. He didn't step forward- yet he swung Kubikiribocho? Fuku innately sighed, but as Samehada was now on the other side of Akido since he had jumped back- Fuku whipped it back again, as it was still elongating. Except this time, it was aiming for Akido's head. The sheer strength, speed and power that Fuku put into the blade would be enough to literally decapitate him- despite the sword being blunt. Whilst doing this maneuver, he slightly stepped back- to avoid any unwanted advances on Fuku that could result in being cleaved in half.
Fuku was planning it all out, and unfortunately Akido could only back off- which was the kind of territory Fuku wanted to fight in, a range where he couldn't be attacked by a great big lumping blade.
Sorry.

[/b][/size] A slight over calculation of the distance between him and Fuku. He would stop the Kubikirbocho in mid-swing and duck about the same time. The Samehada would miss his head. The attack itself was too close for AKido to be comfortable. The Area between them was a deterrent to his fighting style. Akido sighed the other swords of the mist weren't like his. He believed himself to be the only real swordsmen. The users of the Samehada and the Hiramekarei always used their blades like they were some type of whip. He on the other hand was a swordsmen to the fullest. He was actually quite surprised by the attempted death blow. To say he was expecting it was an understatement. Regardless he now understood this battle was very serious and he couldn't let himself be a target for another swing like that. While the Samehada was no longer swinging in his direction. Akido jumped back again. The distance between the two swordsmen would now be just about double the original distance. The four meters now 8 meters. "How annoying" Akido said under his breath. He wasn't entertained by this fight. His show had turned into a boring chess match. It was serious, indeed.
Fuku sighed, and the attack was dodged by a lowly duck. Simple enough, he figured himself. As the man made the distance, Samehada retreated back into Fuku's grip- and then began dissapearing into Fuku's body. He was changing- his eyes not coming off The man- if he were to even think about coming closer, Fuku would be changing tact.
A few seconds later, Fuku's features had contorted into that of a Shark- fully. Shark eyes, sharp teeth face, skin, and all other changes associated with a Shark. He then unsheathed his Katana from his other hip- and pointed it at the man. "You're dead."
He then began to close the gap, running for him, Katana still levelled to the floor with his right hand- the tip facing Akido's way.

"How disgusting." He hadn't seen the transformation of the Samehada in some time. Every time he saw it he was more and more disgusted by the look of such a creature. If Fuku wanted his life he would have to earn it. It wasn't something Akido was willing to give up on easily. He wouldn't let himself fall to a simple Katana and the freak of nature behind it. "I will not die here* Akido took a step back before fixing the sword into both his hands giving him the ability to completely control the motion of his sword. Even in the face of death he was calm. This was what swordsmen searched their whole life for. Someone who could test their abilities and find out who could come out on top. Now Arashi just wanted to guarantee that it would be him.

It was serious, indeed.
Closing the gap, Fuku found that it was going to be easier to distract him before making the final blow to finish him off. Before he could reach the Distance of Kubikiribocho's length- he didn't do what he thought he would do. He swung the sword and let go, spinning like a Boomerang towards the man's legs so he could free up both of his arms. His speed would go up to it's maximum notch as he then appeared as close as he could possibly get, and one hand would begin to get closer to Akido's hand, and the other on Akido's shoulder.
The distraction was there.

He knew that the moment it went up against the Kubikiribocho it would be destroyed by the immense power of it. That's why when it was thrown at him he didn't feel surprised by him disposing of it so carefree. However a simple Katana was of no interest to him. DEATH ATTACK |
[/b][/size] Due to the fact that it was aimed at his legs Akido simply spun to the right avoiding the sword however the momentum was exactly what he needed for his attack on Fuku. In his rotation would leave him on the side of Fuku. He swung the sword with the momentum of the spin out with the intent to cut Fuku right in half. In his mind he believed the battle would end here but he knew he would have to be prepared for anything.
