Can he survive The Day Before The First Day of the Rest of his Life?

What exactly is the purpose of this plot? What is Hoji trying to achieve in this? It seems all over the place and not centered on an actual topic other than what he does the day before a team meeting, which by the description isn't plot worthy.

It's the day where they tell you what you're team assignment is. It's 1,800 words of Hoji's life. He meets his Academy teacher for the last time, worries about the team. Has self-confidence issues and is eventually talked down by his father in a lovely emotional scene. Frankly I have seen plots with less aim than that multiple times.

We really don't have a set rule on what plots can be, which is kind of the point of them. To be a way to roleplay and gain EXP seeing as we really have no other way of just regular roleplaying to get EXP yet.
