For once Hiro slept through the night. Although he was more than confident that he could beat his opponent, he wanted to do so with all of his energy. Because this was some serious business. It was a centuries-old rivalry between families, within one big family. This was the continuation of the Uchiha-Senju feud.
The time for Yasuhiro and Shindama to make their ancestors proud.
The bespectacled boy walked in circles around the entire third training ground, wanting to keep his body awake and alive while Shindama took his sweet time to get there. Unlike with any other events - which were just that, another silly thing - a spar with Shindama was something Hiro never took lightly. With each step he could feel his competitive spirit gradually swell up inside him.
For a moment he almost submerged himself into his fantasy world again, where he clashed with the Senju in an epic and never-ending battle. Weapons swung and parried, flying everywhere, cutting up people all over the place. Hiro breathed fire and knocked out his opponents just by looking at them. He decimated the enemy battalion, emerging victorious atop a hill dressed in the lost tools of the participants.
Holding a lovely young Uchiha lady in his arms, Yasuhiro was once more the manly savior of his clan. And the saved girl, amazed at his effortless accomplishment, went in t-
Almost? No. He went straight into his fantasy world. Enough so that he bumped into a tree's trunk face-first, leaving a nasty painful feeling. It seemed like no matter when or where Yasuhiro fantasized, there would be some real life nuisance to bring him back. Annoying. But enough of that. Today he was going to defeat Shindama.
He was more than ready for this.
He was born ready for this... Literally, right?

The speed and excitement coursing through his legs and into his feet could only mean one thing. He was gonna get to fight Yasuhiro, the two rivals looked forward to their bouts all the time. A highlight, of their lives as Genin. Shindama had one small issue though. He seemed to be running a tad bit late today. A second explanation to why he was running unlike his usual lounged back posture. As he ran his shinobi sandals pivoted in the dirt, constantly kicking up dirt. People around him waving their hands and frowning irritably. "Sorry!" he shouted back while rushing for his destination.
On his way to meet Yasuhiro his own little fantasies took place. Inside he was squealing like a little girl at the excitement. He could picture it now, the two boy wearing ancient shinobi armor with their clan crests on them. Sanding on top of a high mountain where their fight would re-shape the landscape. Although, Shindama could not imagine what kind of jutsu he would use. It was no secret that he did not know an element yet, it was something he was working on though. Although that was not on his mind today. Today beating Yasuhiro to a pulp was his desire.
It was a wish that would soon be granted, well the opportunity would. He had finally made it to the training grounds where he saw Yasuhiro kind of walking around. "I'm here!" he said, standing on one side of the training ground. He walked in a bit closer but not completely. Today was not a day for chatting, he wanted to fight. All the manors that he had, if any at all, were already out the window. "I hope you are ready, because you are going down today Hiro!" he called him by a nickname. Shindama began stretching some, squats, leaning to each side, twisting back and forth. He was ready, the boy swiftly took out two kunai knives. Wielding them in each hands. He held the knives backwards in his hands do that the blades faced at the ground if he held his arms up. That, or they face behind him if he held his arms just down.
His handling on the kunai could be seen as a defensive maneuver, capable of guarding with better leverage then holding them normally. He just squinted, staring down Yasuhiro, waiting for him to make the first move or to at least prepare himself. Today would be a long day for the two, but all that mattered was who would win.

Finally Shindama had arrived. Yasuhiro immediately put on a tough face like that tree hadn't hurt him at all, although Shindama hadn't seen him bump into it, nor did it even hurt anymore after seeing Shindama put on a fighting stance. It caused a serious reaction in Hiro. This was a battle pose. Time do to battle then.
"Tch! Only one who's going down today is you, Shin!" Verbal bouts such as this were great for motivation.
As a quick mental note, Yasuhiro estimated the distance between them to be about 30 feet.
Both hands were in the jacket pockets as usual before Shindama even got there. Even though it was a normal, relaxed position for Yasuhiro, it also served as a sort of prepared defense mechanism in case something were to happen. He would pull out a kunai with his right hand to quickly throw it at Shindama. Since he wasn't too used to seeing Shindama wield kunai as close range weapons, he wanted to test out how Shin moved with them.
Meanwhile, he slipped wire through two shuriken in his left pocket with the respective hand. Keeping a close eye on Shindama's movements would help Hiro decide his next move with the shuriken he was preparing. In but a moment the wire was through their holes and in place, ready to be launched and handled. The spar had just begun, but this was sort of exciting. There was a mixture of enthusiasm and apprehension in Hiro's emotions.
Might have been caused by the anticipation that he would have to allow Shindama to get close in order to effectively use the short length of wire available in his left jacket pocket. Sweat gradually built up on the boy's temples. They would signify his intense focus and acknowledgement of Shin as an equal capable of defeating him.

Every now and then Shindama got really serious when fighting or getting into a fight. He morphed and altered his personality to be more fit to the situation. Even though he did not do it on purpose, it was like an instinct to survive. His eyes would narrow, and he moved into a more crouched stance which allowed for faster movement. A chill wind rolled through, the vibe of the surrounding area suddenly shifted. It was full of intent to kill, it was emitting from Shindama more then ever. This was a whole other Shindama that few would see. Any hint of friendliness and laughter disappeared and was crushed by this new form.
The battle had begun, Uchiha Yasuhiro initiated with a shuriken from thirty feet away. A easy attack to get away from, it was obviously just a warm up. Shindama, playing the defensive position, pivoted on his heal, turning to the side to maneuver away from the direct line of fire. At the same time his right hand swung upwards to knock the shuriken away. Combining dodging and blocked at the same time to make sure there was no way for the kunai to hit. As soon as he was done with that, which happened quickly, it was time to close the gap.
Shindama was not perfect with his weapon handling yet, but it was a start, he was still just making stuff up as he went. For now, his favorite thing to do was twirl the kunai around on his index fingers. There was a purpose behind it though. More then just for show, it was a way to distract people. Not that it would just make people immediately stare at them as if they cannot do anything. It would however be a distraction to the persons peripheral vision, and also make them look like they could do anything at any point. Be thrown, hold backwards or forwards. At that point it became almost unpredictable.
Running forward was not closing the gap fast enough, an while he could not shunshin super far it would be enough for him to take action most swifter. SO, with that he shunshined over to Yasuhiro's left side. Close enough to send a quick kick towards the others arm. Shin had a tough body, capable of not just taking damage but also dishing it out. Not to mention he was one of the more taijutsu capable Genin of their class. While his kick may not do a lot if it hit, it would serve as a good way to warm up the match.

As expected, Shindama would move closer to put the kunai he was wielding to use. He also blocked the one Yasuhiro threw at him effortlessly. From that point on, Yasuhiro would fight assuming that Shindama's movements were essentially the same, he would just have to watch out for kunai rather than punches.
The closer Shindama got to Hiro, the more ready he was to pull out those shuriken in his left pocket. But he had to wait for the perfect moment. Since he had prepared two shuriken on the wire, the length would be cut in half. Five meters of wire equalling sixteen-point-four feet would leave a maximum of eight-point-two feet per shuriken. His strategy with manipulating shuriken was to entangle a target in the wire and stab with the shuriken, so he'd have to wait until Shindama was within less than eight feet away.
Four or five feet - perfect. Yasuhiro went on to pull the shuriken out of his pocket, but right when they were out and he was just about ready to throw them, Shindama disappeared. Shunshin?! He was next to Hiro, and though their skill in this area of combat is about equal, it took Hiro by surprise given the short distance he did it at on top of Hiro's anticipation in wanting to throw the shuriken.
Yasuhiro instinctively raised his left arm up to protect himself from the other boy's attack, which along with the initial movement of almost throwing the shuriken, instead sort of dragged them over to Shindama's leg. Aside from not really aiming to throw the shuriken to the side, Shindama's hits were a bit heavy for his size. While one seemed to go straight at the side of the leg, the other just went in a completely different direction.
The kick packed some momentum into Yasuhiro's body, which had been knocked back and he had to adjust his own legs to the ground to prevent falling to it as it was pushed a couple feet to the direction of his right side. Resulting in a sort of almost-crouched position. Back when the kick took place he had let go of the wire to let Shindama's own movement entangle his leg in it, possibly allowing the shuriken to do something to him.
He hits hard as always. I should keep some distance between us.
Still feeling the pain of the brunt of Shindama's kick on his left forearm, Hiro moved the respective hand in a circular motion so as to 'stretch' it out and try to relieve the feeling. Meanwhile, as he retained the same almost-crouched position and the dust that kicked up from his bracing slide cleared away with the flow of air, he focused his right hand on the respective leg holster.
Taking out an explosive tag, he threw it at the air in front of him. Being paper technically, he just managed to get it about a foot in front of him and then it just wiggled awkwardly and sort of fell toward the ground slowly from side to side. Then he did two back flips to put an extra two feet of distance between him and the tag, immediately after which it burst into a small explosion.
With this he was sure to not only distract Shindama, but keep him on alert. By creating a smokescreen, the strategy was to keep him guessing as to where he was going to pop up next. He figured that the other boy would guess that he'd also Shunshin to some different spot. In order to keep visibility of his rival, he activated his dōjutsu and kept an eye on his body of chakra through the smokescreen.
A split second following the activation, he lunged a kunai through the smokescreen, in the direction of Shindama's chakra. Sliding his left hand into the left leg holster, he started preparing his feet to move forward quickly.

Yasuhiro acted quickly, as was to be expected. He was at a similar level as Shindama, what seperated them were only a few things. The Uchiha adapted his clans Shurikenjutsu expertise and Sharingan. The Doujutsu that they were famous for, a boy so young had obtained. Then, the other Genin, Shindama had his Bukijutsu duel wielding his kunai, and taijutsu. It just so happened that Shindama's taijutsu was a tad bit stronger then many other Genin. This was because of his own clan, the Senju. While it was only speculation that their bodies were naturally strong, many proved it fact time and time again. Shindama, was one of these Senju who just so happened to have the Sage like body. A body that was durable, strong, and packed a heavy punch.
A successful kick was obvious when the two shuriken which were equipped with wire flew into the air. It was a direct hit to the right arm which caused this. The first thought that came to Shindama's mind was, "you are getting sluggish Yasuhiro," words he kept to himself. With his foot retracting back to the ground he was ready to continue their bout. Them almond eyes of his were quickly drawn to Yasuhiro, who tossed out an explosive tag. Only the two would be gutsy enough to use such destructive tools against one another in a friendly spar. Why would they, it was simple really, they never held back. If they held back then they would never get better. Their spars, while labeled such, meant a lot more to one another then just that. It was a clash of two rivals, if they were to know who was top dog then holding back would not adequate. They were just lucky to have never got caught being so destructive to one another in the village... such actions could very well lead to them getting in trouble.
While the tag floated down, being paper, Shindama already pivoted into a accelerated stance. This would allow him to take quick action and move fast. With one kunai that was already in his hand, and the short distance between him and the tag he was able to toss it. But, he did more then just toss a kunai while stationary. The boy also back flipped, much like Yasuhiro. As he prepared himself to flip back, two times, the kunai left his hand. It happened in one fluent motion. If the tag had been any further from Shindama he would not of been able to do this so dynamically. He was not like Yasuhiro, throwing tools was not his expertise.
Shindama made the distance between the Senju and Uchiha much greater now. The kunai he threw made the tag hit the ground faster, but also further away. This was done for a good number of reasons: one, he would not be damaged, two, the smoke would not effect him as much. While he was still slightly caught in smoke while acrobatically flipping backwards it was not as drastic. There was one problem though, Shindama was not aware that Yasuhiro had activated that radical red ocular jutsu. The feared: Uchiha Sharingan. So acting ignorantly, as he was in such a situation, Shindama began to conjure up a spell.
Placing his fingers together, in a cross like manner he created the clone hand seal. In doing this he formed two, perfectly symmetrical to Shindama; clones. The only thing they were missing was the kunai that he still held in his right hand. Not that it would matter, his opponent had the Sharingan. The two clones ran through the smoke screen and out the other side towards Yasuhiro. But wait... what was this. Shindama winced as he felt a piercing pain in his left shoulder. Through casting his jutsu he had completely ignored the kunai; it was not purposely. For a second he had slipped up, an attack finally got through to him. It actually made Shindama crack a smile through his seriousness, it was expected... from his rival.

Bunshin no Jutsu | Clone Technique
Technique's Label: Universal. Technique Prerequisites: --- Type: Ninjutsu. Elemental Nature: --- Description:
A ninjutsu that creates an intangible copy of one's own body, without any substance. Since the clone itself doesn't have the ability to attack, and thus can only be used to confuse the enemy, it is mainly used in combination with other ninjutsu. It's a basic technique, but depending on one's ingenuity, it can be used effectively. The clones may dissipate when they come into contact with something.
These clones can be easily distinguished by persons with doujutsu. A person with normal eyes can also distinguish the clones from the original, since the clones do not have shadows and will not disrupt the area around themselves with their movement (i.e. won't kick up dust, crush grass, etc.). Things were getting intense. Explosive tag, high-speed reactions for their level, kunai and shit flying everywhere. Yasuhiro saw two more Shindama bodies of chakra pop up to both of Shindama's sides, though they were different than the chakra flow of a regular person. That combined with the fact that he heard no sound when they moved toward him led him to conclude that they were regular clones. With this in mind, he performed Shunshin straight forward as he was sure he was safe.
He sped up to the smokescreen, and dashed at high speeds straight out of it, two shuriken ready in his left hand. Ignoring the two clones completely, he was shocked to see Shindama stabbed in his left shoulder, thinking right away that must have been the reason that the flow of his chakra went a little strange. Well he wasn't shocked that his attack landed even though it was really meant to be a diversion. Seeing his friend injured just triggered something in him, no matter what situation. it was.
As he dashed out of the smoke, he threw the two shuriken in his hand at the ground beside Shindama's feet instead of at the boy himself, and came to an abrupt stop, the slight slide of his feet kicking up dust into the air. Noticeably worried about Shindama, he spoke out, though still in a competitive sort of tone.
"I guess this means I win!
...Lets take you to a hospital, yeah?"

A dirty hand placed on the kunai before ripping it out. The wound wasn't that deep luckily. Shindama could definitely feel it though, blood dripping down his arm. This was the price the boys paid for never holding back. While paying attention to his wound he saw two shuriken stab into the ground at his right. He did not bother to budge, and when he saw Yasuhiro he did not bother to continue fighting. The smoke finally cleared, and his clones also vanished.
"Win, hah, this is just a minor set back, don't think you could actually beat me." he said, still holding hi shoulder with his right hand. He wanted to continue fighting but, he wouldn't. For now he would listen to Yasuhiro, "right, let's go see what the medic babes can do." he was sure Yasuhiro would not have a problem with this.
The two boys went off to the hospital, so that Shindama could have his wound fixed. Once there they stitched it up and wrapped a bandage around him. Shindama used this as an excuse to not wear clothes, Well, at least not a shirt. He kept his pants on as to not get yelled at. Once done he went back to Yasuhiro, feeling good as new. "Whelp, they said it was minor but still decided to stitch it up, I also got scolded for us training with weapons, I don't see the big deal though." he said laughing a little bit.
