Clan's Location: Iwagakure no Sato.
Clan Origin: Tsuchi no Kuni
Special Traits: Clan Perk - Members of the Maeda Clan are known for their ninjutsu prowess, even at young ages. +1 to Ninjutsu at OOC creation.
Historical Background: Before the formation of shinobi villages, the Maeda were known for producing powerful mercenaries for whom no deed was too dirty. They gained a lot of enemies very quickly, and through the combined might of several other Clans, they were hunted constantly until the Clan was nearly wiped out.
Thus, they jumped at the opportunity to join Iwagakure when it was founded under the leadership of the three great Clans. Their pride warred against the notion of being just another Clan among many, but the instinct for preservation said that they would not survive on their own. They were among the many Clans accepted into the village under the leadership of Moto Miyama, and they were soon forgotten as a Clan - without a kekkei genkai, without a hiden, they were not usually recognized as an actual Clan.
Throughout the years, the Clan remained small, mostly due to low birth rates. They have served as loyal, unquestioning shinobi under all four Tsuchikage, even the corrupted puppet Ito Gaki - their unwavering loyalty is often considered both their greatest merit and worst fault, and they continue to be some of Iwagakure's best shinobi to this day.
