Special Traits:

The Kyûin are born with two elemental affinities, instead of one. The reason for this is due to a genetics experiment which happened to one of the family members back before the formation of the villages, she was the progenitor of the clan as it is today. The elemental affinities are Futon *Wind Release and Suiton *Water Release. Now while this allots them a capability over a variety of jutsu, they can only ever learn elemental jutsu of these affinities *Whereas a normal ninja can learn other elements, but not as strong as one with affinity. With their affinity for the two elements, over the years they have developed a Yuukai, or Fusion method of the techniques, capable of combining both elements into singular techniques to create devastating or elegant displays of power. Though, most of these abilities do not begin to a clan member is capable of manipulating C rank or above jutsu.

(Laymans terms, a member of this clan does not gain access to other elemental mainpulations at higher skill levels and ranking, they only get those two...permanently.)

Historical Background:

The Kyûin originally were from Sora no Kuni, the land of sky. Back before the wars, the members of the family showed an adaptability to chakra natures, showing easy assimiliation of other natures for a short period of time. The elders of the village using genetic modification, experimented on the clan members to see if they could grow in specific chakra natures to create deadly fighting force of ninja's. In a way they were successful, they managed to modify the genetic code of the ninja in the Kyûin clan to take one two natures. The natures were Futon and Suiton, and with that they tried again to make more, of different dual natures. Ultimately the experiment failed, and the Kyûin descendent from the one successful grew to hate their homeland.

Around this time, the clans in the mainland were coming together to form villages. As this began, the Kyûin segregated from the village inorder to join with the growing village of Konohagakure no sato. It was also due to the Kyûin clan did Konohagakure no sato learn of Sora no Kuni and their capabilities. The information was the price for joining the newly formed village hidden in the leafs, which is when the Kyûin joined with Konoha. After this the clan focused on its inner strength, more so then showing off their abilities to the world. It was during this time, that those with the skill and power developed the Yuukai. After this, the clan started to grow in reputation, where they went, dark clouds followed and it was due to this they gained reknown as "Konohagakure no Arashi" or the storm hidden in the leafs.

The clan as a whole keeps to itself, they tend to not stand out too strongly amidst the background of clans in the village, and when noticed they are quick to quell the rumors of their name. During the second shinobi war, the Kyûin clan was one of the few whom earned a bad reputation. It was during this time that the clan leader of the time, Kyûin Turi, effected suicide missions using the clan members and destabilizing their Yuukai techniques to create vastly power and deadly attacks that wound up wiping out a good 2/3 of the clan as well as many enemy ninja. Turi was later captured by Kyûin Dosa and stripped of his power with a sealing jutsu that the clan has developed *Standard Fuuin, only works on Clan members to lock away abilities of traitors and exiles. Once sealed, he escaped and fled the country of Hi no kuni, swearing his vengeance upon the clan.

The current clan leader goes by the name of Kyûin Dosa, he is a gruff man of modest nature. His view is to not allow the world to know their abilites, as much like a storm, you only hear the rumbling, never knowing that it is already too late. He lost his wife in the first war, and son in the second, giving him a gruff and mean sort of demeanor. He was the one who trained Kyûin Marā in the Yuukai and taught her the effective of combining energy and control to maintain the jutsu used in Yuukai. She however has a more elegant approach to their techniques, taking on the persona of Fallen Cloud, which in their clan is an esteemed title given to Jounin level ninja within their clan. This is also only given to the shinobi in the clan who is capable of performing Yuukai: Me Arashi "Fusion: Eye of the Storm" a technique of devastating power and destruction that has the possible strength to claim countless lives of any who cross it. Mastery of this technique in the clan is seen as a honor, as no member can learn it until they have shown they are strong enough.
