There are so many suckers.

Yasuhiro stood in front of a lollipop stand staring at all the different kinds there were to stare at. Big ones, small ones, clear ones, colorful ones, they even had different shapes here and there. He had bought a glossy red one earlier, but he was just interested in looking at the others while he sucked it. Savoring the strawberry taste in his mouth, he pondered over what it was that led to so many different lollipops being made.

"Hm..."

He simply stood there, in a sort of daze. Indulging in curiosity.

I guess there's a lot of people in the world. After the first one was made, I suppose they kept on making more and more.

Lollipops. An intriguing topic for this guy. Out on the street, lots of people bustling through and being loud and busy and whatnot? Nope. Who would remember that?

"YOU LOSE!" He yelled as he laid the final piece - his rook - in the correct place for a proper win in shōgi. His opponent, as frustrated as he may be, lost with dignity despite Iō's behavior upon winning. Offering a hand of good game, which Iō was more than happy to shake with such extreme enthusiasm. One would ask why he had such a high smile when winning a simple game of shōgi, but that was because this was definitely not any simple game of shōgi, oh no, it was a betting game, where Iō had bet his freedom for a week in exchange for losing, while if he won, he would receive a ton of money. You may wonder, who was this opponent? None other than his father. Hehe. A decorated retired shinobi after the war - generally acting as a strategic commander - now suffered 123 loses to his own son. Hehe.

He was gone with the cash before his father could say another word, usually offering for a rematch with the stakes double or nothing, but not today. Today, he had to make it to the candy shop where they sold an expensive lollipop flavor he could never afford with his allowances alone. A delicacy that he could only get when beating his father in consecutive matches, which he had done today. More importantly, he had to rush. He didn't pay attention to the time, but the shop would run out quickly before he could grab one if he was late, and so, with all his muscles in his legs, he dashed forward and outward reaching the shopping distract in just two minutes of full dash. There were a mass of people walking and shopping, a lot of obstacles, hehe, not like that'll be enough to stop him.

Left. Right. Left. Left. Under. Right. Jump. A number of side-steps and jumps with the occasional slide underneath people's legs or a board when all other options were considered null. He was just a few steps away from the shop, hell, he could see the shop in his view with the lollipop window gallery when two huge guys carrying a rather tall cabinet - most likely for a nearby apartment bought from the shopping distract - came directly in his way with no other way to pass than up. "Think that'll stop me?" He scoffed, putting on an determined smile and leaped with all his might, but just not enough as his feet tapped the cabinet forcing him to lose balance and fall directly on the nearby gentleman window gazing near his wanted designation.

He could hear the shouts of the workers due to his abrupt leap that would've made the cabinet fall if it wasn't tied down. Now, he was just on top some poor sap that was used as a cushion. "Well, that didn't hurt as much as i expected." Another day. Another Adventure .
