[/justify]Clan's Symbol
Clan Surname:
Akuchi [Blood-poisoning | Impure Blood]
Clan's Location:
Mizu no Kuni
Clan Origin:
Mizu no Kuni
Special Traits:[Passive Abilities]Blood Generation
-- Akuchi clansmen are born with bones that all have red marrow, throughout their entire life. This allows them to produce more blood than normal humans. Likewise, their phsyiology is capable of containing the extra amount of blood that is produced and is able to balance accordingly when their blood leaves the body. Unless an Akuchi really exerts himself, one will never die of blood loss. The Akuchi blood is also a special type of blood and thus cannot be transfused to any other individual outside from the clan.Blood Empowerment
-- Due to their increased blood production since birth, every organ and muscle in an Akuchi's body has more blood going through it, giving it more oxygen and energy, thus allowing them to be stronger. This allows older Akuchi to be stronger physically from raw strength and speed to increased stamina. It takes time for this ability to show noticable change in an Akuchi so only older Akuchi are known to have increased physical capabilities. [It doesn't give them an extra perk though. Just makes them sound cooler]Blood Consumption
-- The Akuchi Clan is able to use blood as a form of food. Akin to vampires, they are able to drink the blood of other animals. Their own blood tastes terrible to them and too much can be poisonous to themselves. When they drink the blood of another animal, they are able to absorb their chakra as well depending on the amount of blood consumed. As such, if an Akuchi drinks all of the blood of another human, they are able to absorb all the chakra that human had left in its body.Blood Lust
-- The more an Akuchi sheds his own blood, the more bloodthirsty he gets. An Akuchi revels in the sight of blood but is mostly able to control himself, though slowly losing his senses and control as blood is drawn. When about 70% of an Akuchi's chakra is lost, he delves his mind into insanity and succumbs to his inner desire for blood. Blood pumps through his body in great amounts, letting an Akuchi become much stronger and faster, but at the same time losing his mind and intelligence, relying on pure predator instincts instead. Prolonged use of this blood lust causes strain on the body due to the increased blood pressure rushing through their body.[Active Abilities]Ketseuki no Akuma
-- The Akuchi's special bloodline limit, Blood of the Demon. It is the simple ability to manipulate an Akuchi's own blood for various purposes. For use of this ability, an Akuchi has increased blood production and a different type of blood which, in its original liquid form, is very fluid and easily able to change shape while still being dense enough to cause blunt damage. A requirement of using their ability is that an Akuchi must draw out his blood and thus damage his own body. It is a double edged ability in that if overexerted, it will kill the user from blood loss, though it has happened very rarely to an Akuchi, who has vast amounts of blood inside them. Akuchi clansmen of higher levels are able to use half seals or no seals at all to manipulate their blood. [KG Rank of S-rank]

Historical Background:
[/blockquote][/blockquote]
Legend has it that the Akuchi clan are direct descendents of ancient demons from the underworld who would rise into the world of the living in the darkness of the night and consume the blood of humans. Because of this reason and their kekkei genkai which directly relates to the legend, the clan has always been feared and isolated, which is fine with the clan. The Akuchi clan is a clan of priests, shamans, and simply isolated spiritually enhanced beings. They prefer to stay within their clan, outside of others. They reside in the Akuchi Shrines located on the south side of the Land of Water.
Their recorded emergence was in the First Shinobi World War where a rouge clan of shinobi attacked the Akuchi Shrine, thinking they will be one step closer to gaining the Land of Water. Unfortunately for this clan, the priests were no pushovers and easily overpowered and killed most of the clan. The ones who escaped later told stories of a group of blood thirsty demons inside the Land of Water. This thus started the rumor of the Akuchi clan being blood thirsty demons and thus their isolation, which did not bother them. Afterwards, there was no other mention of their clan except for passing stories by old travelers who told about corpses found along the southern forests of bodies that were drained of all the blood inside them. Besides rumors, the Akuchi clan was and is shrouded in mystery and darkness.
