There he was, in Konohagakure with his companion Chie, under the guise of traveling magician and assistant. Their cloaks and inventory gave off the clear indication of this, carrying around a cart full of tricks and tools, but it wasn't theirs. No, it was someone's random off the road, who was delighted to give it to them as well as their identity - lucky. Maybe. More like, compelled. His eyes could make people do things, odd things, but never things they were reluctant to do, so with fake money being seen as real and their own willingness, the cart was obtained as while as cloaks that hid their faces and hair.
One could ask, why was they back? Why venture back into the hunters den while being hunted, wasn't that suicide? From some perspective, yes, but from what he planned to do, no. He had an escape route, everything set incase anything went wrong, especially if they went wrong. Without Kuru here as a powerhouse, their team coordination were obviously more broken than ever before, but it was doable.
They would soon reach the base of the local Inn, just across the straight from there was a love motel, such an interesting thing. He could remember times when he would venture there with some beautiful girls to release the stress of ANBU duties, even if he didn't look stressed while on the job, he was always stressed. A glance and done. "Let's go in." He walked into the doors of the in, paid for room 102 in cash, and went upstairs with the heavy equipment.
The moment he was alone with Chie, "I need you tell you about Kuru, and why we're here."

Konohagakure - the last place on earth she would return to. It was another one of Soura's plans, plans which he kept to himself until the last moment. Her inquisitive questions never seemed to break him and get him to answer her. Chie had given up long time ago. Instead , the woman had learned to go with the flow until the man saw fit to let her in on his thoughts.
She recognized a few faces as she walked through the street - many were ANBU off duty. The feel of being back did however, remind her of a few good memories. Not that any of those competed with the ones made with her companions - Soura and Kuru. Speaking of which, the latter hadn't been seen for quite a while. Odd - he was never gone to who-knew-where for so long. Perhaps they were to meet him here?
They had reached the local inn with not much trouble albeit the rather hefty cart they had to drag along. Whatever, the guise of magicians was the only way they could get through the gates without having to reveal their faces. The inn wasn't too fancy, would do for a day or two. Paid and set. She followed her partner upstairs, letting him carry all the load they brought along. In moments, the door of their room shut behind them. Finally, it was safe to get the hood off her face. "Mhm, about time." she responded, moving about the room as she went through the shelves and drawers rather casually. It was just her habit - checking through stuff, just to see if one could find anything of interest.
"Where is that nut anyway?" she continued as she inspected an old half empty bottle of sake she had found in a cabinet.

He removed his facial mask, revealing his face that he was sure that Chie had rarely seen, even during his younger years, or ANBU, he's been wearing a skin-deep mask covering a mask majority of his face, only revealing his eyes, eyebrows, and hairs. Now his mouth was fully exposed, showing his well-kept up with smile and dental hygiene. One could ask why he kept his mask on for so long, it was more of a protector, psychologically wise. Your face is often remembered for the things you've done, and with it being covered up, it protects personal vendettas to occur during your normal life, albeit a bit contradictory, due to him keeping it on both in and out of duty.
Back to the problem at hand: Kuru.
"Kuru has been captured." The very reason he brought her here was for that specific detail. Kuru, their friend, their ally, and yet stupid enough to go out on his own and get captured by the enemy. Now, they had to save him, if he wasn't already dead, and if he is, give his body the proper burial and deny their ability to study and put him under a microscope - something he most definitely wouldn't have wanted. Even if what he's going to do next wouldn't have been the stealth mission of they going into whatever location Kuru was and freeing him, no, he had no idea and any attempt at gaining the location always lead to nothing but that he was INDEED captured. His sharingan couldn't even provide proper intelligence gathering to get such information.
There was only one conclusion: "What they wanted for him was kept only to the most protected and privileged individuals - Hokage and Council."
"So what i'm about to tell you is going to be extreme," He paused for a second, "We're going to get him back by threatening Konohagakure & forcing the Hokage's hand." He waited for that to set in. "If you don't want any part of this, i'll understand, but this could potentially turn into a point where i must display my seriousness before getting Kuru back." He sighed, "I wish it was easier."

She seated herself on a chair once she was content with her inspection. It was probably to turn her attention to the man, for their stay here was most definitely no simple matter. A slight smile lit appeared on her face as he removed the mask off his face. It had been quite a long time since she had seen his features. Gorgeous he was, no doubt. She had even forgotten how the he looked over time - the eyes and white hair being the only method of distinction.
Yet, the words he spoke, turned her smile turned into an instant frown. Kuru...Captured? Of all the three, Kuru? Well, it was true the Uzumaki was a bit careless in the state he usually presented himself in, but he wasn't stupid enough to get captured. To her, it seemed that Konoha had probably planed this before hand - an ambush, perhaps. The man had truly unique abilities - abilities which the village wouldn't mind mutilating his body for. "And you waited this long to tell me?" she sighed. She was upset. Being kept in the dark wasn't all that fun, really.
'...privileged individuals - Hokage and Council'
And it was understood. Soura was about to try something which would probably get them killed. And she was right, as he went on to giving her a preview on what they were about to get themselves into. She wished he was joking. But the consequences told otherwise. Two nukes threatening the whole of Konoha? Stupid and delinquent , one would think. She would too, if the man behind the idea wasn't the Hatake.
"Mmm...I'm surprised, Soura..." a murmur escaped her lips as he finished. Getting up once again, she walked up to the man - a slight smile her lips. "Thought you knew me better than that" she asked casually as if the situation wasn't as dire as it really was. Honestly, she was a bit disappointed that Soura thought she would back out. While she wasn't always in on the field along with the two - the lifestyle they lived wasn't exactly safe nor relaxed. Death was always around the corner. Now, they were just securing it, or maybe not? "So, what have you got in mind?" she continued.

His eyes scanned her facial expressions with the utmost diligence, unwavering, seeing ever tick, every frown, every thought. He was absolutely vigilant in looking for her reaction to his words, this was why he waited so long - to get in an isolated location. Her first reaction was absolutely obvious, a slight micro-expression of anger and then concern. Then there was the wanted expression. He wanted to smile at her words, but his face stayed its stale state.
"So, what have you got in mind?"
His ideas were too far and too detailed to explain every last one of them, and their contingency plan in case of failure were below the needed percentage of success. A contingency plan should always have a 92% or higher plan of success, but due to it being a contingency, it's not as effective as the main plan, which should have the better desired effect with at least an 80=85% chance of success, the leeway for unexpected but predicted variables. He had too much on his mind, but he was capable, during his travels to this Inn and Chie's compliance, of narrowing it down to a single plan: Indirect Confrontation.
"Indirect Confrontation." He said with a slow ominous tone, "I will send a body to deliver the threat, after which, we will see how they respond, either giving us Kuru willingly, or using taking down the Hokage/Konohagakure." He explained, there was of course more to it, "If we decide to go after the Hokage, we will have to get him away from the village, take him down, not kill, and use the mind-reading technique to gain information of his whereabouts. Doing so, we'll, under the guise of being the Hokage, free him." If they failed to perform this plan, they would of course try to threaten Konohagakure, and that was the backup. The contingency was more difficult. There was one flaw to this, albeit it's 2 v 1, taking down one of the shinobi strong enough to be declared hokage will be difficult, but the real problem will be, getting him alone.
Sharingan, Awaken.
It blazed, searching the room with chakra viewing, and turning to Chie. "Let's hurry and set this plan in motion, i'll tell you the rest in full detail on the way, for now, we're going to have to obtain someone who can enter the Hokage's chambers without questions."

Indirect Confrontation? She furrowed her eyebrows for a few seconds as to imagine how it'd go. The obvious would be that they would send out a search party to capture them down as well. Or, if the Hokage wanted to play smart-ass - he would go along with their plan and ambush them later on. But that were just her thoughts. Though, Soura would have considered these facts already. He was their genius anyway. not that she admitted his logic was greater than hers. It was instead, just far more open to various theories.
She made decent sense of his plan even though the details were direct and perhaps a little vague. He made it sound so simple. Hokage quite the opponent to deal with - would having numbers on their side really help them?He had kept many options open, though none of them were any safer than the other.
Briefing was done. The Hatake was so impatient to get this plan in motion as quick as they could. No doubts she could think of, though there was one thought that kept pricking her. "Soura...what if Kuru is dead?" she asked as she put her hood back on. There was sincere concern in her voice. The Uzumaki was rather dangerous and untamed - there was obvious reasons as to get rid of him. A saddening thought indeed to see a close friend depart. And at the same time, a sort of motivation to see this plan get through successfully.
"The Kage's assistant, Hanchou...got anyone specific in mind?" she continued getting back on the topic at hand. Those were a few she could think of who had direct access to the Hokage. Dwindling on negative thoughts didn't help much, albeit they seemed realistic. With those words, she would open the door once again and ascend the stairs alongside the man.

He was on a time-frame. Diddling on small intricate details of a generally seen simple plan was something he couldn't afford. Not with his plans. He knew Chie would understand this, he's done this many times during his ANBU years, on times he was given point on an operation, he's always done things generally, and than intricacies at correct times, furthering mission success. Odd, but his way of doing things.
His expression shifted for a second when Chie mentioned a possibility. He paused for brief period of time thinking, reflecting on that option, but be that as it may if true, Kuru didn't deserve to have his body be freed from liberties and experimented on without his consent. His moment of thought was broken by Chie's question. It was something to get his mind off that possibility.
"Someone who wouldn't be capable of detecting & breaking my hypnotic capabilities easily. Someone highly suggestible and open to taking orders. The non-military desk clerk." Yes, it was a normal desk clerk who had no shinobi capabilities, perhaps some affiliation with shinobi, giving out missions and whatnot, but no, no threat. She/he would be capable of entering the Hokage Office delivering papers, perhaps a private mission that was mistakenly put into his/her box. Whatever guise created would be sufficient enough to have direct contact with the Hokage. That was enough.
Sharingan, Recede.
He walked alongside Chie, placing his mask back on and deactivating his sharingan. He grabbed Chie's hand with his own, "He's too tough to die, that Kuru." He reminded, his words were of the utmost confidence. That wasn't the true reason he assumed he wasn't dead, no, someone with his body and abilities were best exhumed when alive. They must've done something dirty to capture him, by far, Kuru was perhaps the strongest individual Soura had ever met, his vast amount of chakra, speed, and power could prove to be one-man-army-ish alone. There was thoughts of them threatening his niece, hell, even Sōra would succumb to capture if his brother was put into harm. Without hesitation.
Before he got fully downstairs, "When we find the person, i won't have to force the person to do anything beyond their will." He informed Chie, having freedom being the main reason for them leaving, he assumed Chie would have some objections to his hypnotic control over individuals free-will, makes him a hypocrite beyond measure. He wasn't. When met, he'll simply give her a message, a message to be relayed through false imaging. Nothing more, nothing less. No taking away her/his liberties. He would promise if he could to never use his hypnotic ability to force anyone to do anything they did not wish to do, if that was possible, just for Chie.
Their walk would end at the base of the Konohagakure Mission Centre. It was a tall-wide building with multiple floors, completely constructed of hardwood and painted with a shade of orange and green for a delicate sight. In there would be their target, and in there could very well be when they are discovered.

He seemed to have ignored her question regarding Kuru's possible death. Perhaps too preoccupied with the plan to bother answering. The severity in Soura's eyes did show utmost concern. She never really understood consideration for apart one's self until she met the Hatake and Uzumaki. Days in the ANBU actually took her away from her father and her clan. Hell, she didn't bother nor know of their welfare.
She rolled her eyes as he spoke of their target - the clerk. Obvious and easy indeed, yet not a choice she would go for. Getting the street magician to give up his belongings was uncalled for, yet she didn't question it then. But again? Controlling shinobi of any affiliation was out of necessity - something she never bothered questioning, but bringing ordinary folk into it was just sick in her sights. Maybe, just maybe, she wouldn't argue about it this time - for Kuru's well being depended on it.
She felt a cold grip around over her hand. It was enough to send a chill down one's spine. Yet, Chie smiled - it was comforting. And with the message that accompanied it - she squeezed his hand for a moment as she responded in a lighter tone "Thanks for the remainder". Aye, it was quite a remainder. Kuru wouldn't go down so easily. Not without a damn good reason he wouldn't.
She found the man contradicting himself as he continued back on topic. "Uf...that doesn't make sense." she mumbled to herself while lightly shaking her head sideways in disapproval. It would pass as an audible mumble of gibberish. Why bother explaining himself when they both knew Hypnotism was to be in use on this mission. What was he even trying to say by 'beyond their will'? No one in their right minds would side with the enemy against their village's strongest shinobi. It was suicide, over which the target was a civilian. On the bright side, the Hokage wouldn't perhaps dispose of her due to her being under the impression of Hypnotism
They blended in quite well with the crowd. In another five-ten minutes did they make it to the mission center. A quick glance at the cursed structure - the same which she visited countless times, the same which robbed her of her free will. "Well, your queue. " she started off with a slightly annoyed tone, her eyes shifting from the building to the man. Regardless of what she thought, the plan wasn't going to change. She could bicker about it later."I'll stay out and keep watch" she continued. Two strange folk at once would surely give rise to suspicion. Besides, it was a safer choice as shinobi of various ranks kept entering and exiting the building. Soura was apt in speed and stealth - this part of the plan would be done in minutes if everything went smoothly.

His eyes scanned the mission center. He had his entire plan mapped out front to back, and if asked, he could recite it under great detail in perhaps a hour or so. He glanced back at Chie for but a moment, he wondered if she had noticed, perhaps not. She wasn't the best at easily distinguishing Genjutsu from reality, unlike himself, who could do it more or less without his sharingan rather proficiently. However, she did hold something special, being a Sensory-Type, like Kuru, but unlike him. He never needed to learn to sense, he always had his sharingan, so anything in his eye sight was basically sensed. That was enough.
He turned away, taking a deep breath and venturing into the mission capital of Konohagakure no Sato. He had done background checks beforehand on prime subjects, and there was many, but there was one who was just the best. He waited in line with others, some people throwing glances, some talking about the magical performance that his symbolic attire represented when entering a village, and it was a great guise. Albeit they wore cloaks, the magician never actually reveal their faces, and with the actual performance being a week away, they could literally wear the designated cloaks throughout the village in an inconspicuous nature. Perfect. He'd done research on that also, no way to enter a village without a good background and reasoning behind it to be here.
His turn came up.
"Next." Her soft voice said, strawberry hair with a lean figure, freckles pasted around her cheekbone region. He walked upwards, talked for a minute or two, gave her a letter, gave her an application for a bullshit mission, and left. She nodded, put it under her desk, and continued her daily routine. "Next."
Perfect.
Stepping back outside, he could see Chie standing in the crowd, "Step one: Completed. Now we wait."
He was absolutely not doing forcing anything against their free-will, no, but being deceptively clever into manipulating someone is different than forcing others to do things they would not do otherwise. It was his standpoint on the matter. However, no matter what happened, he didn't want Chie to die, so what he did previously was completely for her own well-being. Completely. He loved Chie. In the top five people in his world that he trusts, she was #3. His mother, #1, and his Brother, #2. Kuru and another took what was left of #4 and #5, respectively, and those five would be the people he didn't want to see hurt under any circumstance.
"In 12 hours, our act will begin. Let's prepare at the location." He begun to walk away. Today could be the day he died. Likely.
