► Specialization Guidelines
Specialization
►Specializing, commonly known as Spec'ing, is defined as a shinobi focusinga majority of their talents and timeinto a singular aspect, or are naturally born gifted in having a large aspect of something, such as Chakra Reserves. It enables the shinobi to gain a huge boost in that skill or jutsu more than others, where anyone at equal letterrank will never be capable of keeping up without some form of advancement. It enables more advanced techniques to be made and various other perks in a skill. Here's how you Specialize:
[1] | To specialize, one must apply for it in the Modification Board. Use the appropriate template when doing so.] Or, state so during OOC Creation, only applicable for B-Rank Shinobi and Higher.
[2] | When specializing, you must be of B-Rank or Higher. When specializing, two Core Skills are capped at C-Rank.
[3] | You can not change your specialization after deciding your specialization.
[4] | Your specialized skill will be designated with a " + " at the end, therefore looking like "S-Rank+" when added to profile.
[5] | You can specialize in a Core Skill or a Sub-Skill, however, a Core Skill can only be capped.
[6] | By Specializing in a skill, you can use techniques one rank beyond said designated skill. Therefore, if you are B-Rank[Katon]+, you're capable of utilizing A-Rank Katon techniques.
[7] | When you specialize in Ninjutsu or Bukijutsu, please add a [Type] to the side of it to distinguish what weapon and ninjutsu you're currently specializing in. An example of this would be: Ninjutsu[Suiton] = Specializing in Suiton Technique. Or, Bukijutsu[Kenjutsu] = Specializing in Sword Techniques. This helps us differentiate what you specialize in, and anything within the broad range of Ninjutsu / Bukijutsu can be listed, such as Ninjutsu[Kekkai Ninjutsu], Bukijutsu[Bojutsu], etc.
General Perk Of Specializing: When you specialize in a skill, you're treated as having above-designated level rank skill, with an increase margin of 20% over that skill. An example of this: A shinobi with B-Rank+ Taijutsu, is greater than a Shinobi with A-Rank Taijutsu by a 1/5th degree of skill, power, stamina, and endurance. There are certain circumstances that make a Specialized Skill equal to a skill that's not specialized, that is the overall rank boost, which is exactly 20% increase greater than the below rank. This would mean, an A-Rank Shinobi with A-Rank Taijutsu Vs a S-Rank Shinobi with A-Rank Taijutsu will lose out to S-Rank in terms of technical prowess, power, stamina, and endurance due to the margin increase of 1/5th increase. This in turn, makes an B-Ranked Shinobi with B-Rank+ Taijutsu equal to that of a A-Rank Shinobi with A-Rank Taijutsu. They will be on par in every aspect.
Specific Perk Of Specializing: As we all know, when you specialize in something, you usually gain an advantage that's more notable, and that's what this is for, it details the perks of each skill when spec'ing in said skill.
