► Reason For Position
Before becoming Mizukage served as the head of nukenin division and was later promoted to Head Jonin. Despite only serving as Head Jonin for 5 years, he was extremely well known and many people believed that he was just as strong if not stronger than the Nidaime Mizukage. For the village council and daimyo of the land of water Tohoma was an obvious choice.

► Political Standpoint
Tohoma is willing to do anything to ensure livelihood of the village. He would even resort to breaking international laws and pre-preemptive attacks if he felt the well-being of the village is threatened in any way. However he will not do this foolhardily without considering the consequences for his actions.

► Appearance
Tohoma stands at about 5"11 and has an athletic build. Like most Yuki clan members he has jet black hair and dark grey eyes. But unlike most clan members Tohoma wears his hair short and messy rather than wearing it long and elegant. Tohoma usually prefers to go shirtless only wearing black pants and black sandals in any kind of weather. He also has a tattoo of Kirigakure's symbol on his left pectoral. And around his neck he wears a metal necklace with a metal snowflake at the end of it. Also he wears a brown pouch full of water around his shoulder. The pouch holds a little less then 50.7 fluid ounces of water.

► likes

• Snow. When Tohoma was small, he was captivated by the elegence and beauty of snowfall. He would even play hookie on a school day just to play all day in it. As an adult playing in the snow is one of the few times he unwinds from his usual calm and serious demeanor.
  
• Kirigakure. Tohoma is devoted to serving, protecting and strengthening his village. Every action he takes is for the greater good for the village. It was his devotion to Kirigakure that led him to joining the hunter-nin, in order to protect the village's secrets.
  
• Ice Cubes. Tohoma developed an unusual habit of eating ice cubes. He enjoys the sensation of the ice breaking under the weight of his jaw and letting the pieces melt in his mouth.
  
• Reading. Ever since Tohoma was small he loved reading tales about heroes. His favorite was the story of a shinobi name Gesei Hono, who gallantly sacrificed his life in order to preserve the secrets of his village.
  
• The Yuki clan. This is Tohoma's family. While he has had their differences in the past, he loves them dearly. He has supported them as much as they supported them.

• Hot and Dry weather. Tohoma was born and raised in Kirigakure where the typical climate is cool and wet. Hot and dry whether is alien and foreign to him. Not to mention it is a bit harder to use Ice Release in a dry climate.
  
• Mosquitos. Insects that draw blood nuff said.
  
• Insubordination. In a position of power, insubordination not only signifies disrespect towards Tohoma but also works against the goal Tohoma is trying to achieve.
  
• Nukenin. Tohoma believes that those who abandoned their village or works against the cause of their village are worse than scum.
  
• Disorder. For Tohoma disorder is counterproductive to the goal at hand. And seeing disorder within the ranks of an organization is his pet peeve.
