Furinji Saiga was born on a snowy night of December 25th on a day known in history as "The Silent Day" for it being the day when all was quiet in the world, no missions were being processed, no other births were taking place, everyone was quiet, in their own homes. It was a day as if everything had stopped in time and all was silent, as if the noise of the world had been taken away... except for the cries of a newborn baby, born to Furinji Hayato and Furinji Mui,a baby that was named Furinji Saiga.
Saiga's parents were not shinobi of any virtue. His father, Hayato, had been to the shinobi academy and had actually become genin, but his jonin gave his team a test on the first day of geninhood. Hayato was not able to pass and immediately dropped out. Saiga's mother, Mui, was never able to pass the academy years in the first place and so she reverted to a normal life as well. Later on, the two met and married, moving out to the country side of the Lightning Country to live as farmers. And as such, Saiga was born to a family of farmers.
So he lived his days as the only son of a family of farmers who lived just outside of Kumogakure. He lived a simple life from the day of when he was born and until the age of 5. In between that, he was raised by his parents in mostly solitude. His mother raised him while his father worked all day on the fields. This was the family he was in. Until at the age of five when a man visited their humble abode in the middle of nowhere. The man was none other than the Shodaime Raikage, Akuchi Kisuke, the brother of Saiga Mui, Saiga's mother and thus.. Saiga's uncle! The great lord of Kumogakure had come to visit his sister and her newborn son... and to request of something from her. He requested Saiga be enrolled into the academy. Kumogakure needed strong shinobi in the times of war and he believed that Saiga could be a great shinobi. Mui disagreed at first, stating that the boy should just live at home and grow up as a farmer like the family but Hayate said that the boy should become a shinobi, or at least try to as he had. Being a shinobi and serving the village is a great honor and if the Raikage himself came to their home to request of this, then it could not be denied. And so Furinji Saiga went back to Kumogakure with the First Raikage and everyone found out that he was the nephew of their great protector. They had great expectations from Saiga... and he was enrolled into the academy at the age of five.
Bully.
Enrolled at the academy, Saiga began his days to try to be a genin that would bring honor to his family. However, life would not go so easily for Saiga as predicted. In fact, life as an academy student was the worst years of his life. First, he could not accomplish anything. He lacked talent in all areas and was a failure at it all. Ninjutsu? He couldn't even muster up any chakra. Genjutsu? He couldn't even target the opponent. Taijutsu? His clumsy self tripped before he even approached his opponent. Written exams? Having lived in the rural areas, he did not know how to read or write. He was an embarrassment to his parents and his uncle, the First Raikage.
But it didn't stop just there. Saiga was bullied constantly. As soon as he enrolled in the academy, other boys started picking on him for being an outsider, for not having lived in Kumogakure, for his parents being failures and not having become shinobi. Being singled out as that kid was tough on Saiga, but he did not give up. Every morning, he would do his morning chores at his home and then run to the village. He was given the option to live in the village but he loved his family too much to part from them. He also believed that by running every day to the academy, he would improve his speed and stamina and would gradually improve his taijutsu skills. This was for the most part true as Saiga gradually improved his speed and stamina, but his other skills were still severely lacking. However, with strong determination to bring honor to his uncle and parents, he studied hard. Within a year, he started to show great improvement in all fields. He was able to keep up in 1 v 1 spars with most boys. He was able to mold his chakra to create a clone or use a partial transformation jutsu. He was able to escape from extremely low level genjutsu. He learned how to write and read. He was slowly improving all of his skills at the same time.
But traveling from his home to the village was a dangerous task as there was quite a bit of distance between the two and as a kid he was open to being attacked. And so he was one day, as he ran to the village, he was ambushed... by none other than his classmates! The regular bullies who picked on him knew that he ran to the village every day and so today was the day that they ambush and attack Saiga. Although Saiga's skills had improved gradually over the year, he was still unable to fight a group of five boys, who were much bigger than him. He was easily overpowered and beaten down. One of the kids even brought his older brother along, who was a genin, to beat down Saiga and give him the message that he does not belong in Kumogakure and that he should stay with his failure of a family and not embarrass the village's savior, Lord Raikage.
Unable to make it to the academy, Saiga just laid there until the day passed and it was time for him to come home. He crawled back home and although his parents were worried, the only explanation he could give them was that training was hard that day at the academy. He couldn't let his family know what was going on with him at the academy. He just wanted them to know that he was trying his best to make them proud. Unfortunately, life wouldn't be as simple as that. In fact, it was about to get even worse for him and his family. On that night, all was quiet. The Furinji family slept soundly and the full moon shone outside in the clear sky. Shadows circled the house and footsteps were heard causing the young boy to wake up. Wondering what was going on, Saiga investigated, leaving his room and going into the living room when he saw his windows being smashed open and then those distance words said in unison...
Katon...And just like that the household of the Furinji, a small home located outside of Kumogakure, built through the hard work of Furinji Hayate was burned down. Saiga and his family escaped the house in time before being burned as well.. only to witness that their entire farm field was burned down as well and their livestock was killed. The ones who did this were still there but started to flee after seeing Hayate chase after them, but Saiga caught the glimpses of their faces and knew who it was. The ones who burned down his home... were the same bullies who ambushed him earlier that day. They had burned down his families home that they took years to build up. Everything was gone, burnt into the red and orange sea. All he could see was the tears of his parents as they broke down, having lost everything. This was it. This was the final straw. Saiga was going to chase down his bullies and finish this once and for all, that was the look on his face, but he was stopped by his father who told him not to do anything. Hayate told the boy that going after the ones who did this will only create more hate in this world and it would not solve anything. That night the Furinji family would beg to stay at the home of another's but no one will take them, having the fear that it would cause their homes to be burned down as well. However, there was one family who the Furinji family begged to and they took in Saiga, letting him stay for that one night but would not take the parents. They said their goodbyes and Saiga slept on the hard ground of the house while his parents slept outside in the cold. Saiga promised himself and silently his family that he will become a shinobi and make them proud now, no matter what.
And so the next day, Saiga ran once again to the village and to the academy. He got stares from the bullies but he ignored them and instead focused intently on his studies. The advantage of having no friends was that he didn't have to go and socialize, he could spend all his time training and he liked training. He came to that day and found a small shelter where his home used to stand. His parents had worked all day to build it and though it could really only house one person, they gave it to Saiga so he could always have a good night's rest to be ready for the next day. His parents were ready to sacrifice everything just to give their son a bright future. So Saiga couldn't waste their sacrifice and he worked hard every day since to improve himself and slowly and steadily he did. It took him longer than the other students, but at the age of 10, after 5 years, Furinji Saiga became a genin of Kumogakure.
Failure.
It was the first day of geninhood for Saiga and he knew that this day would be the most important. Every jonin was required to give an initial test to their team and Saiga knew that his father, Hayate, had failed his test and was kicked out of shinobihood. Saiga had to pass... but this would be hard in itself for his teammates consisted of two individuals that he could not get along with at all. One was the main bully, the head honcho, who led the other boys to bully Saiga and burn down his home. The other teammate was Saiga's crush.. who had rejected him and instead started dating the head bully. The jonin was the head bully's father. This wasn't going to end well for Saiga.
He arrived at the meeting spot of the team which was pretty close to his rebuilt home. The test was simple. They had sundown to get one solid punch to the jonin's face. Whoever couldn't get a good hit would be sent home. This was the test... and it would begin now. Saiga knew that it would be hard but he had to work with his teammates and show their dynamic teamwork to pass this test. Together the three of them devised a plan where they will work together to land hits on their sensei. The plan was set into motion and Saiga ran straight towards the jonin. He would be the bait while the other two will swoop in and capture the jonin so all three could land hits, but as Saiga drew closer to the jonin, he didn't see his back up. The other two were supposed to act by now but they didn't and Saiga was hit, sent flying back. He looked back up from his knocked down position just in time to see that the other two easily landed hits on the jonin.. as if he let them. Now the only one left to make a hit was Saiga. He quickly got up and tried various things but to no avail. He was just not strong enough to fight against the jonin sensei.
He had improved a lot since he first began at the academy but even at that improvement he could not possibly face against the jonin alone. But it seemed that his teammates would not help him. He kept going. He just couldn't fail this test. He had to pass to bring honor to his family. Time again and again he would be knocked down by the jonin. If the jonin wanted to, he could have knocked out the young genin but it seemed that he wanted to toy with him. Finally, Saiga retreated to think of a strategy and he found himself in the presence of his two teammates who told him that they felt bad and will help him. Now with another plan, Saiga and his teammates rushed the jonin once again... but this time he was attacked by his teammates! Laying down on the grass, hearing the laughter of his teammates and the jonin, covered in blood... Saiga looked up at the sky and saw that the sun was going down and darkness was upon them. This was going to be his final attack. He slowly got up.. and saw... saw that throughout their whole fight they were moving constantly and had ended up near Saiga's house. His father and mother were watching, worried looks on their faces, tears on the verge of their eyes. He couldn't fail now... not when his parents were looking.
He turned around to face the jonin once again, who was grinning from cheek to cheek as if he was waiting for this exact moment. Saiga mustered up all of his remaining strength and dashed for the jonin again but this time, through quick maneuvering and dodging of the jonin's attacks, he landed a good solid punch at the jonin's face. Thrilled by this, he started to fall and collapse but the jonin grabbed him by the collar, anger in his eyes. Saiga couldn't understand why nor did he have the time to. The jonin threw Saiga back towards his parents and continued on to perform a quick series of hand seals and released a great fireball towards the Furinji's rebuilt home, burning it down just as the jonin's son had done to their old home. The jonin told Saiga that he had failed even though he landed a punch, the sun had already gone down. The jonin told Saiga that he could never be a shinobi being born to a bunch of pathetic farmers and only if he was born to his uncle, the First Raikage, he could have been something. The jonin left with the two other genin who had passed while Saiga had failed his test and was no longer going to be a genin, the same which had happened to his father Furinji Hayate. The family cried together that night, sleeping in the ashes of their burned down house.
Death.
And as it were the Furinji family was at a state of depression, homeless and hopeless once again. Perhaps Saiga was the most affected by this, having lost all his hard work just because of a simple hate and prejudice against him. Having dishonored his family because he couldn't complete his goals. Saiga was silent now as he helped his mother and father build another house. He had nothing to look forward to. A meaningless life filled with crushed dreams was what it had come to. Anger slowly filled his heart, every night since then, for until a year, he would go out in the middle of the night into the forest and train by himself, imagining the trees and shadows being his ex-team. The darkness in his heart grew every night as he left and trained. Like this, one year passed and now he was 11. His heart was mostly clouded in darkness now but the smiles of his parents were the only ray of light within his heart. It was as if his heart was covered in yin energy, darkness, while his parents were a mere dot of yang energy, light, in his heart... small but strong. It was that one dot, that light that allowed him to still be sane and not hunt down the ones who bullied him.
Till one night, Saiga returned to his home after a full night of training. He was extremely tired, having not slept for months. The sun was rising and he saw it. In front of his house, stuck on there with stakes, blood dripping down creating a pool under his feet, were the two dead bodies of his parents. His father, Furinji Hayate, was a hard working man who always loved his field and doing field work. His hard working hands, which he had used all throughout life to give birth to small plants and take care of his livestock, were cut off and dropped into the pool of blood, wrapped around some of his favorite cornstalks which were soaked in crimson blood. His mother, Furinji Mui, was a hard working woman who always took care of the housework and took care of young Saiga, giving him everything he could need, at most times sacrificing herself. Her smile gave Saiga encouragement and strength every day. Her clothes were ripped apart, her legs were spread and she had signs that she was raped. Her face was sliced off and laid down in her pool of blood, including her mouth which was still smiling, as if she was hoping that her son Saiga would sill be alright, and her gouged out eyes watery as if she was crying that she would no longer be able to spend time with her family. Upon witnessing this, Saiga broke down and started crying, the light in his heart finally vanishing, letting the darkness take over his heart.
The light in his eyes vanished as he lit up his rebuilt house for the third and final time, letting it burn down with his parents and the rest of the field. Saiga wanted to leave nothing behind. He wanted to forget his entire past and live a new life, but he had to take care of some unwanted obstacles that still lived in his past. He walked to the village. Blood of his parents creating a red trail behind him, he arrived inside the village and inside the home of that man. One quick swipe of the arm. His jonin sensei who had attacked and killed his family and was a strong presence in his history was now dead. Saiga left the village, deciding that he would never come back. He will be labeled as dead, burned to ashes, just as his entire home and parents were. Nothing was left of his trace.
Truth.
And so he walked, aimlessly, with no place to go, nothing left in his past nor in his future. He had just witnessed the death of his parents, burned them and his down to the ground, and killed the ones who killed them. He left his village and his home, where he lived for 11 years. He left everything behind and in the early mornings of the day, he simply walked off to a random direction, a blank stare in his eyes, a darkness clouding his vision. His heart was searing with pain and evil intent, darkness overpowering his soul, transferring dark thoughts into his mind. His feet finally gave out at some type of beach at the edge of the Lightning Country. Tiredness set in and he drifted off to sleep, a sleep that he had not experienced in years because of his constant night time training which he did to make his parents proud one day, parents that were no longer with him, gone, faded with the wind, etched into the soil of the earth as ashes. The ocean swept the boy away, carrying him away from his past... and into his future.
He awoke to the sounds of many birds chirping. As he opened his eyes, he witnessed that he was in some type of deep forest. He didn't question much about how he ended up there because he could not remember last night at all and how much he walked, he could have drifted to sleep anywhere, including a densely packed forest. He looked around and saw creatures starting to surround him, coming out of the bushes, and looking down from tree branches. These weren't normal creatures, they were the giant forms of normal animals. Scared, Saiga could not move. He just stood there, paralyzed. The creatures approached him but a loud growl was heard throughout the forest and all the creatures surrounding him stopped, paralyzed as well, as if something... something was coming their way, something even more fearsome than them. And there it emerged, a giant 40 ft gorilla. It landed in front of Saiga, easily towering well above him, and it started smacking its palms against its chest, creating a loud booming noise which drove away the other creatures. The giant beast then turned and stared directly at Saiga who was still unable to move. The beast simply dropped down, put his face in his arms, closed its eyes and started to sleep.
Morning turned to evening and Saiga finally mustered up enough courage to run away from the beast. And he ran and ran and ran, not looking nor stopping, scared that the giant gorilla or some other beast might come after him. He kept running, wishing to leave this forest. He finally came upon the edge of the forest only to witness that he wasn't in the Lightning Country anymore... he was on an island! Below him was the raging ocean, with strong currents that would probably wash away and drown his little body. Behind him was a deep, dark forest with giant beasts. Saiga had no hope left. He guessed that this was his fate after all, losing everything he once had and now this. His life was nothing but depression. He started to run again, off in another direction, back inside the forest. He had to find somewhere safe to sleep for the night. He ran and ran and finally came upon the rushing sounds of water crashing against water. He had stumbled upon a waterfall. Looking around, he could not see any creature, not even bugs. It was as if they were specifically avoiding this one place. That was strange to him as animals would usually go to a place with water, but not this one. Saiga did not mind one bit and decided to sleep here, or rather on the waterfalls. There was a platform in the middle of the pond and Saiga slept on that, drifting off to sleep, hoping that this forest of death and this mysterious island was only a nightmare... but the real nightmare would begin now.
Saiga woke up. It was still night but he started to hear mumbling and voices from behind him, from inside the waterfall. And upon turning, he saw it... a young boy step out of the waterfall. At first it was hard to see who it was until the moon shone directly upon the area and the boy was revealed to be Saiga, except he had completely black eyes. This Saiga seemed to talk about how the village hated Saiga and his parents. It displayed the complete darkness inside Saiga's body. The dark Saiga attacked normal Saiga and the two engaged in a lengthy fight against each other. However, having the same abilities, the two were almost evenly match. Dark Saiga was merciless and cruel and thus had the slighter advantage. The two fought for what seemed like days but Saiga kept being beaten down. He was getting weaker and weaker, realizing that he had no reason to fight. He had no light inside him. He knew that whatever the Dark side of him said was completely true. Saiga almost gave up, letting the darkness overtake him completely, but then a ray of light shone out from deep within him.
His parents were the light that shone out, pushing back Dark Saiga and giving Saiga hope. He knew that the light his parents implanted in him as they raised him will always exist in his heart, making sure that the darkness would not overtake him. He knew that there would always be darkness in his heart but the darkness had to be balanced by light, his parent's light. Saiga accepted this fact and the world around him faded away. He woke up to realize that he was simply dreaming... and for some reason these falls brought out the inner Saiga within him out. Saiga quietly wept, sad that he would not be able to see his parents anymore, but then a bright light shone in front of him and formed the images of his smiling parents. He touched these images and lo and behold, he could! His parents! They were actually in front of him, in person, alive once again! Saiga started to cry even more and jumped at them to hug them but ultimately fell in the pond. He quickly surfaced from it, coughing out the water that went in his lungs, and saw that his parents were gone. This was the first instance... of Saiga's unique Yin-Yang release. Saiga had decided that he will train hard because he knew that his parents were still watching him. He'll train hard and become great! But he did not know what path he will take in his life.. he had an equal amount of darkness and an equal amount of light within him. But first, he would get stronger and travel the world.
And so Saiga went back into the forest, to face the creatures and become the dominant force. He started by fighting the smaller creatures. Every day he fought and he trained. For the first year, he spent most of his time just training his taijutsu skills until he finally learned of his Yin-Yang release. From then on, he started focusing on his ninjutsu and genjutsu techniques. He was slowly, but steadily growing stronger and stronger. He had faced every creature on the island, either losing to or winning against them, except for the giant gorilla beast who seemed to only watch the young boy. The giant gorilla that Saiga named Kong seemed to be the king of this island and as such he was the final boss. Saiga couldn't fight him until he defeated every other creature on the island. He still had a ways to go. 3 more years passed and at the age of 15, Saiga fought Kong. Now fully trained, having conquered every other creature on the island, and having become proficient in his special ninjutsu, Saiga was ready to face the great king of the island. Kong accepted the challenge, knowing young Saiga was now ready. It seemed as if Kong was the only intelligent creature of the island, which would make sense that he is top dog. The two fought for seven days and seven nights. Although it seemed impossible, Saiga was clashing blow for blow with the giant ape. It was the seventh night, day was approaching quickly. The two were on their last attack... and so they did. All the creatures of the island were watching, waiting to see who their new king will be. And out emerged the victor, clapping his palms against his chest, and roaring at the top of his lungs... Furinji Saiga was the new king of the island!
Now king of the jungle, Saiga did not know what to do. He achieved his short term goal but what were his long term goals? He couldn't live on this island forever. Many days, he sat upon the highest peak of the island to stare out into the ocean and meditate, except one day he noticed that they were near some shores, which were impossible... unless the island had moved! Curious to see what was going on, he ran to the edge of the island and dove into the ocean. Inside the ocean, he saw it, a giant flipper coming up before him. He quickly swam to the side and saw the flipper going forwards and backwards as if it was trying to paddle. Curiosity peaked, Saiga swam to to the front of the island and although it was dark under the ocean, he could make out a giant creature face until two glowing orbs showed up under the water and suddenly the creature's face started to rise from the water. Saiga quickly rose to the surface, standing on the water, and faced the Island... Turtle! It was the face of the island and it seemed as if the entire 'island' that Saiga was on was the turtle's shell! It was the legendary Island Turtle of legend! The turtle's eyes glowed and it communicated in the same way that Kong had communicated with him, through visions in his mind. Saiga's eyes opened up in a quiet world, tinted with a blue color. It seemed to be some sort of the Natural world as he stood on the water in front of the Island Turtle in front of him and Kong to the side. The two creatures were able to talk in this world and explained that they were only able to do this because Saiga had the rare ability of Yin-Yang Release, an ability to bring forth one's dreams and fantasies into reality, something only the Sage of Six Paths was capable of before. Suddenly, two koi fishes, one black and one white, came up as well and introduced themselves as the representatives of the Yin and Yang worlds. Saiga asked them what he should do with his life and they simply answered that he should just have fun, be evil if he wanted to. The spiritual world fell apart and Saiga woke up on the shores of where he once crashed, about five years ago. He was now contracted to the Koi summoning contract and was much more powerful than before. It was time to do something with his life and that was to have fun and do whatever he wanted. He told himself that he'll decide what to do after... he travels the world.
Hermit.
Now out of his Island Fortress, the place where he was 'King', Saiga was back in the real world and ready to face the real dangerous. He was happy that he was able to go on that Island and spend a couple of years there. He felt much stronger now than when he left. He wanted to return to Kumogakure, but he knew he couldn't at the time so instead he decided to travel the world. For five years, he would travel the world and learn about as much as he can. He disguised himself and started calling himself the name... Hermit.
The first stop was the Peach Country, which was the closest to where he was. He traveled to a small village there. This was going to be start of his adventure around the world and where he would catch up with worldly events. He needed to know what was happening in the world after his departure four to five years ago. He walked around the village, talking to various people about the events of the shinobi world and the war that was happening. He mostly ignored this war, having no interest in who dies, who gains power, or whatever happens. After a week of staying in the village, he saw a young girl who was training. She seemed to be strong and was able to use poison techniques. Saiga went up to her after her training session one day, when she was alone, and started talking to her, telling her from where she was and that she had real shinobi capabilities. he told her that she should should visit Kumogakure and join the academy and attempt to become a shinobi, so she can really do something with her awesome abilities. Saiga stayed for another week in the Peach Country, this time spending most of his time with the young girl, making sure her parents didn't find out. She was extremely cute... and extremely dangerous, but he couldn't be tied down to the country. If she followed his instructions and went to Kumogakure, then he was sure he would see her again. The initial plan was to stay in the Peach Country for 2 weeks, but he ended up staying for 2 months, having slightly fallen for the girl. But it was time to leave and so without saying any goodbyes, he simply left at night, under the fool moon. He had never revealed his true name, even when he became close friends with the girl. Hermit, he still was.
Saiga, called Hermit now, started to travel once more, this time going across to the Fire Country. As he traveled, he saw many battles of war happening. He saw people being murdered left and right. Cities were ravaged and completely destroyed. Although he did not get involved, he saw it all. This was... the essence of war. He simply ignored it, having no interest in such troubles. He arrived at the Fire Country and decided to test his skills on real shinobi. He started participating in any skirmishes between the countries he saw, taking down all of the shinobi, not being loyal to any one side. After a few months of this, he became tired of it and decided instead to make some money along with it by doing bounties, which he got from the Fire Country Bounty Station. This was even more fun as he would get to travel even more due to many higher level bounties being located in other countries. Two years passed in this lifestyle before Saiga became bored once more. He was now 17.
After spending the last few years attacking as many shinobi as he could, he found fun in defeating and/or killing them. It was fun, but it was even more fun as he started to hear his name around. 'The Hermit', a dangerous hunter of shinobi, an evil and frightening force. He liked that, very much. It was strange at first, thinking that someone would like to hear that he is evil but to Saiga's ears, he was elated that someone would give him such credit. That he could strike fear in strong shinobi, the same shinobi who he was once afraid of. That's when he decided that he needed to do more evil things, to make his name throughout the world and have it be akin to 'evil'. He decided to delve into the world of the shadows, the criminals, the ne'er do wells. He quickly became well known in the underworld as well, still known as the "Hermit", the man who can create nightmares and form them into reality.
He spent the next 3 years in the underworld, working with criminals of various kind, committing dangerous deeds. He was expecting to work with some kind of evil organization, but alas there was no such thing. Instead, he was doing mostly mercenary work for various nations and clans. This mercenary work was dangerous and definitely as people would describe "evil", where he had to pillage villages and destroy entire clans, bloodying the fields. He became a terror in the shinobi world. A mysterious man that traveled the world and left only corpses in his wake. His last work was to infiltrate Kumogakure and assassinate their Raikage. This would be a high paying job and a most dangerous one which Hermit gladly accepted. He went on this job and inflitrated Kumogakure easily. His constant training, sneaking past the creatures of the Island at night to sleep peacefully, would come in handy here where he had to sneak past the guards and the ANBU at the dead of night. He snuck up to the Raikage's office and caught him alone, however it seemed that the Raikage was expecting him and simply waited for Hermit to attack. But after seeing the Raikage's face, he remembered the memories of when he was young and the Raikage came to his small home to introduce Saiga to the academy and the cruel shinobi world. He remembered his academy days and what he went through and this made him even angrier. He was ready to take down the Raikage, his uncle, but he was also reminded of his parents and their love for the boy and started to break down, right in front of his target. This signaled the end of his mercenary life as Hermit as the Raikage comforted him and welcomed him back to Kumogakure.
Return.
Now at the age of 20, after about 18 years, Furinji Saiga was back in the Lightning Country and back in Kumogakure. Saiga was not officially recognized as a shinboi and there was no way he could go back to the academy now, but the Raikage did not want his nephew's skills to go to waste. Instead, he appointed him to the ANBU Black Ops, a special position granted to those chosen by the Raikage. Having acquired many skills in the field as a mercenary, Saiga had easily adapted to the assassination and espionage lifestyle of the ANBU. In three months time, he was promoted to the role of ANBU Captain for his outstanding performance and showcase of abilities. As an ANBU, he adapted the name of [Kami], or God. Although everyone in the village knew about Saiga's return, they did not know about his ANBU life, and as such they did not know what kind of shinobi Saiga had truly become. They simply thought that he was still weak from his academy days and thus lived a civilian life, but the Raikage and the ANBU Black Ops knew better. The prodigal nephew had returned, better than ever.
Besides his ANBU life, he lived a normal civillian life. As an adult now, he was no longer bullied by his past bullies who had become of the chuunin rank now while his old teammates were jonin. He also saw the girl he met during his travels, the girl from the Peach Country, Nozomi. It seems she had really gone to Kumogakure as he said she should and became a shinobi and was now a chuunin. That was good. Kumogakure could use talents like hers. He did not reveal himself to her of course. It was better to stay hidden. He had to hide his hermit life as much as possible and similarly, he could not reveal his ANBU life as well. In a sense, he was the true ninja in this village, having secrets and living triple lives all over.
The years went on by with nothing eventful really happening. Five years passed as Saiga faithfully served Kumogakure as an ANBU Captain. Even though he did missions for the Raikage, he held no real loyalty to the village and he had not truly abandoned who he was, a villain, an evildoer. He still wanted to become the most evil in history, but this time he would use the position of the Raikage to aid him. He had to wait patiently, for his uncle to die off and appoint him as Raikage. For this reason, Saiga spent a lot of time with his uncle, serving under him directly, and going on every mission that was assigned to him, completing each one in the most effective way possible which would please the Raikage.
At the age of 25, Saiga was appointed an important mission where he would be teamed up with a group of two jonin and one chuunin. The mission was to travel to the Mountain's Graveyard near the Fire Country to evacuate the small village located near an active volcano, which will erupt soon. He was partnered up with his old genin teammates and the chuunin, Nozomi, the girl he met at the Peach Country. This was going to be an interesting mission, though his teammates did not know of his true identity, only knew him as the ANBU, Kami. They began their mission soon and left Kumogakure, traveling to the Mountain's Graveyard. As they traveled, he noticed that his old teammates had not changed at all as he saw them bully the chuunin for being an outsider to the village. They finally arrived at the village, only to witness that the villagers were in panic as volcano was already erupting, spewing out its magma, which slowly slithered down the side of the mountain, approaching the village.
Kami commanded the two jonins to help the villagers evacuate, but they simply stood there, frightened, wanting to run away. Unimpressed, Kami simply executed the two in one quick swipe of hand seals. He told Nozomi to evacuate the villagers and leave the two jonin here to burn away with the village, as they could not complete their duties in the mission. Kami meanwhile ran up to the volcano's side and created a giant wall out of nothing, holding back the magma momentarily. Half an hour passed in this as Kami started to lose a lot of his energy and stamina when he noticed that the village was completely empty. He released his jutsu and ran out of the village too, only to find that he could not find Nozomi. The magma was upon the village now, destroying everything and a villager told him that Nozomi was in one of the houses, rescuing a child that was left behind. Kami quickly located which house they were in and rushed to the house, going inside and spotting the young boy who was crying and in Nozomi's arms. He grabbed the two of them and rushed out of the village, only to land on a slab of rock was floating on a river of lava with more lava coming up from behind him, ready to burn away all three of them. He quickly performed a set of hand seals, and created blades all around them which started to spin around fast, deflecting the lava torrents around him and pushing the trio away and out of the burning village.
The mission was a success and the villagers were escorted back to the Lightning Country, where they moved into a village close to Kumogakure. The two jonins were pronounced dead, having fallen while serving bravely for Kumogakure, while Kami and Nozomi were awarded for the completion of the mission. 5 years later, Nozomi was appointed to the position of jonin and Saiga finally revealed his identity to her and married her that year. Saiga was now happily married and his life was going good, but his ambitions were never truly subsided. He still longed to become the most evil of men in the shinobi world and he knew it will soon be time to assume the position of Raikage.
Shadow.
2 more years passed and Saiga was invited to a private meeting with his uncle, the Raikage. The Raikage explained to him that it was time to choose the Nidaime Raikage and he wanted his nephew's opinion on who it should be. Saiga felt offended that even though he served his uncle closely, he was not chosen for the position. The Raikage explained to him that his shinobi life was still a secret to the villagers, who still didn't trust him as much for leaving the village and blamed him for the deaths of his parents and the death of his past jonin sensei and his old teammates. The Raikage also explained that because he was his nephew, he couldn't appoint him to the position as the villagers would think that he was only chosen because of the family ties, which would be unfair to other candidates to the position.
Angered by this, he knew that he had to become Raikage somehow, to make sure his plans would go according to what was set. His next set of actions, he would slightly regret, but they had to be done. Saiga quickly executed the weakened old man that was his uncle and the Shodaime Raikage, telling him that he was a necessary sacrifice, and thanking him for taking care of him... and for killing his family by interfering with his life and taking him to the academy. With the old man's death, Saiga wrote a letter, forging it in his uncle's name, which stated that the Raikage was dying soon and the next Raikage will be his nephew Furinji Saiga, who was the ANBU Captain, and had served in the shadows loyally for the future of Kumogakure. This letter was then shown to the council and then to the village.... and Furinji Saiga was officially inducted as the Second Lightning Shadow, the Nidaime Raikage.
Six years have passed since his induction into the kage-ship and so far nothing has happened. Saiga has not made his move yet as he is still trying to gather information and trying to gain the trust of his village, which he mostly has. His plans will soon begin, however, as he plans on creating an evil organization of criminals and rouges, called the One Shadow, Nine Fists. His only goal right now is to become the most evil man in the shinobi world, not the most powerful in terms of strength, but the most powerful in terms of infamy. That is the tragic and true story of the man known as Furinji Saiga, a story that has not yet ended, but it might soon with the path he has chosen to take.
