Despite her grandparents attempts to calm the girl and her over active vocal cords there was really nothing that could be done in order to take her mind off the fact that she had finally gotten someone to join her for a slightly dangerous mission. Her grandmother had disapproved so highly of the girls excitement to be put in a near death situation but Haruhi couldn’t hear her over the own thoughts in her head. She had read the name of her partner but had never met the boy before, she had never heard anything bad about him but in truth she had never heard anything good about him either. She wasn’t sure if that was a good or bad thing but it just meant that Haruhi was in for yet another surprise in the morning, if she could ever actually get to sleep in the first place. She was to excited to settle down for dinner and had gone straight to bed in order to work on her calmness, if she was like this tomorrow she would surely spook her client and her partner in crime. The sun rose and the morning came without fail and Haruhi found herself so sleepy she had slept through her alarm twice and she only awoke when her grandfather came in to shake her awake. She rose as though someone had stabbed her and quickly tossed about her room, pulling on her clothing as quickly as she could her back pack was snatched up and toast shoved into her mouth as she flew from the door. She ran as fast as her legs would allow her without cramping up so early in the morning and by the time she found herself standing before them she was far to out of breath to be understood “so…s..sorry” she puffed about before her knees found the ground and she found herself sucking in as much air as she could.

[atrb=valign, top] Kudaranai let out a long, drawn-out sigh, eyes scanning over the scroll held between his hands for what must've been the umpteenth time today. He mumbled quietly under his breath, cursing whomever the hell had decided to not only give him a mission, but saddle him with someone else to watch over, as well. "Oh, you guard the gates, right? That's the same as guarding anything else, right? Well, why don't you and this Haruhi girl go escort some noble to his stupid village? It'll be fun! You're good at guarding things, just imagine the noble is a gate!" He mimicked the voice of a 'top brass', pinching at his nose and making the raspy voice of a teenager as he spoke.
A cursory glance upwards from the scroll revealed the noble they were supposed to be protecting, looking around impatiently with his nose thrust into the air. He was an almost obese man, pockets and pouches jingling with far too much money. Kuda let out a snerk, tucking the scroll away in a pocket, digging into the opposite pocket for a snack. He plucked out a bag of chips, tossing a couple into his mouth and crunching down on them as he turned his head up towards the ever-present sun, beating down on Suna like it always did. He kicked at some sand idly, glancing about.
"Alright, where the hell's my supposed teammate? We've been waiting here for like a whole twenty minutes already and she isn't here! I don't have all day!" Kudaranai stated, even though because this was his -job- he did, in fact, have all day.
Within a few moments he saw his supposed partner practically tumble around the nearby corner into the sand, on her knees and mumbling apologies before anything had even happened. He let out a sigh, staring at her incredulously. "You're my partner for this mission, yeah? Haruhi?" The boy asked, walking over and...well, he was probably considering offering a hand, but he already felt himself sweating just a bit, heart rate increasing rapidly. He opted out of actually touching her, just standing there and trying to -not- look like he was incredibly nervous around the girl just because she was, well, a girl. So he ended up just staring between her and the noble, face heating up, just wishing that he was home already.

He was going to be one of those fun men who would boss them around or at least attempt to, she could already guess he was someone who had always got their way. Most likely a spoiled child who had always been pampered his whole life and in turn had taken over his father position even if he knew nothing about it. He had most likely gotten women and the likes due to his power and had been one to call maidens to his bed more often then he actually did any work towards the village and its prosperity. Overall he seemed like one of those men who would rather save his own life then protect those he was suppose to be serving, gaining tax money from them with threats of death and treason if they refused. Her attention was then focused on the boy who had asked her if she was Haruhi his partner, she had wanted to say yes however she couldn’t help but stare up at him as he seemed to almost panic before her. He was one of those kinds of people it seemed not very bright looking and nervous for just about every situation and from the way he was standing possibly afraid of Haruhi herself. After finally having caught her breath she stood dusting herself off, “ yes I am Haruhi and you are Kudaranai right, sorry I am late I over slept. But if you want we can get started right now. Since we have a long way to go its best to get as far as we can before night fall, we can travel at night but that’s only up to our guests willingness to continue on”

[atrb=valign, top] Kudaranai let a nervous sort of gulp snake down his throat, tossing another glance upwards at the sun as Haruhi spoke. "Right. It'd be best if we just got started right away, right? No sense wasting time when we've got a place to be, and all of that." Hands fumbled clumsily around his body as he just about patted himself down, checking to make sure he had everything that he needed. That was to say, he checked his pockets to make sure he had snakes for what would be at least the next two days. 'I'm no so much afraid of this asshole getting attacked or anything as I am that we'll die of fuckin' heatstroke before we even get there', though the boy who had spent the entirety of his life in the ever hot desert.
He tossed a glance over towards both their charge, who simply 'harrumphed' and nodded, apparently indicating that he was ready for the journey. Not really one to mince words, it seemed. He shot another look at Haru--NO NO okay he turned away, deciding that the best way to not have a heart attack over this whole issue would be to avoid even looking at her. He flapped one of his much too large sleeves at her idly, moving in front of the noble and waving his hand backwards. "Since it's just the three of us, we'll do something simple like this, yeah? I'll take position in front of our charge here, and you stand behind him, and we'll just walk in a line the whole time. " He stated, pausing momentarily to check that she was listening. He turned back forwards, simply starting off at a morose, meandering sort of pace, as to not tire out the noble. Or himself. Mostly himself. As they started to make their way across the sands, he coughed nervously, figuring he should get some formalities out of the way. "S-so, um, not that I'm expecting danger to come around the corner and smack us in the face, but we gotta be prepared just in case it does, yeah?" He went about striking up a conversation. "With my particular skillset, I'm onnea those sensing types, so I can see chakra and the like about a hundred meters or so up. I'll just start screaming if I see anything. I'm also very resilient! Like a roach, y'know? Hard to get rid of, and all of that. My Taijutsu ain't bad either, but things like my Genjutsu and Ninjutsu are...um..." He squeaked a bit. "Nonexistent, aside from anything basic. Yourself?" He asked, face flushing as he talked about his few strong points and glaring weak ones.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width:500px, bTable] | From today until the end i promise you that we will stick together through thick and thin, heaven and hell until our last breath is whisked away. | [cs=2][atrb=style, border-top:1px solid #898988; border-bottom:1px solid #898988; padding:5px; background-color:#000000;] ♣♣Tags||MISSION ♣♣ Words||423 | [cs=2] It seemed that the boy was one of those nervous talker kind of people, the ones who chattered on about nothing because their body was unable to hand the stress of the situation. He was going to annoy her and Haruhi was not the type of girl to find people annoying. She couldn’t help the fact that he was chosen nor that her excitement had gotten the better of her. She watched the boy pat himself down with a quizzical look upon his face, she wondered if he was going though a mental check list to make sure he had everything before they left. The boy had started to glance her way but suddenly his head moved as though it was unable to turn and had sprung back to position, it was oddly kind of funny watching him. When he begant to wiggle one of his sleeves at her with a fury she couldn’t help but chuckle out a laugh before trying to pull herself together “ Aye ,Aye fearless leader” Haruhi chimed at him, there was no reason fighting with him since it seemed that taking the lead was keeping him under wraps. Without fail the boy suddenly wanted then in a straight line formation, she assumed he was unaware of how silly and how it greatly weakened them. However she was not one to turn down any strategy so long as it didn’t get them killed. They hadn’t even been walking for more then ten minutes before the boy started up again, this time about his abilities and weaknesses. Not one to be picky Haruhi wondered if he understood why they didn’t speak about such things to outsiders, least no the person they were suppose to be protecting. “well screaming might then inform the enemy we know they are coming so you might just want to casually tell me they are coming, as for resilient I suppose that is a good thing.”. She quickly let herself appear be his side as she whispered “ however your conversation is allowing our client to know that you are not used to missions and are highly untrained for a b rank mission such as this. I suggest you calm yourself and speak of another topic, however I have no Genjutsu skills though I excel in Ninjutsu, medical Ninjutsu I also am sufficient in Fuinjutsu as well as I have a contact and a summons.” she hoped her skills would calm his nerves some as she was bit more trained then he.
