Although he acts fairly similar to his clansmen, he looks nothing like the part. Towering above many of the other men of the Nara clan, Shu stands at a height of six feet and three inches, this combined with his more muscular body structure then add up to his total weight which in 170 lbs. As previously stated, Shu has a body structure that is a bit more muscular than the typical Nara. This being that Shu has muscles that show fairly well on his body, however are not so much in mass as to restrict any of his body movements, in fact some of his muscles are only slightly noticeable while others, the ones he uses most, are most noticeable. These muscles that are rather noticeable on the Nara's body happen to be the muscles in his legs, abs, and chest, leaving his back and arm muscles to be noticeable but not as much as the others. Don't be fooled by the muscles, however, Shu is actually still rather flexible, and often may simply contort his body in a direction to dodge something. Another feature of Shu's that sets the male apart from the rest of his clansmen is his brilliant red hair. This silken hair that is so long that when he sleeps it must be gathered in a braid or loose pony tail is an inheritance gift that sweetly whispers to anyone what his lineage might be. That's right, an Uzumaki for a parent. Combined with this brilliant hair, however, is the only feature that may slightly even whisper Nara, and that are his hazel eyes that with varying emotion seem to have different sizes to the iris often allowing just his mere facial expression say a thousand words. However these still are not the only distinguishing characteristics of the clan outcast. His final distinguishing characteristic resides in the network of obsidian tribal-esque tattoos that cover the male's body. There is only a few inches of his body spared by the inch etchings and those reside in most of his face, his forearms, calves and shins. Everywhere else there is a tattoo of some sort from this network. Starting up on the forehead the tattoos carve back in a sort of V shaped design enhancing the windows peak he already had slightly tremendously. These carry down to his eye brows where the once crimson hairs have been replaced with jagged black ink. Traveling down the back of his neck, jagged stripe-like tattoos that wrap around the back of the neck back and forth like a snake. This same design travels down his back, wraps around his shoulders to his chest and biceps, and carrying on down to his legs, where at his knees the markings finally stop. For clothing Shu typically wears similar outfits from day to day. On his upper body he typically likes to go with the bare minimum in clothing. As such Shu likes to wear a typical konoha chuunin flak, however instead of it always being zipped up like the typical style he wears it open to expose his bare chest and abs, or at least most of his abs since his lower abs are always wrapped in a bandage. On his forearms Shu wears special armored bracers that allow him to block point blank attacks easier than brandishing a kunai would. On his left bicep is wrapped an obsidian clothed konoha hitai-ate. For his lower body, Shu is much more covered up. He wears ebony hued shinobi standard trousers that are bunched together mid shin before vanishing into the armored combat boots that he likes to sport. His boots are armored in the sense that there is an armor plate on the front of the shaft, with three armored straps wrapping around the calf, and there are steel toes in the toes of the boots. This weighs him down a little, but he's had these boots so long he doesn't feel the effect anymore. Covering his forehead, Shu tends to wear some kind of bandanna or cloth that typically changes from day to day. ► Mental Assessment On most days Shikashu is a Nara through and through. The guy is really as laid back a person as they come often finding things not worth the effort to even become involved in. Shikashu prefers to spend his days laying in a grassy noll and watching the clouds roll by or sitting around the nara estate playing shogi with another Nara. Shikashu is probably as opposite an Uzumaki as one could possibly get, but then again every man is prone to their tendencies, even lazy ones such as Shikashu. Shikashu often complains about mundane tasks such as paperwork or house chores. In fact he typically just refers to such menial things as being "a pain in the ass" and blows them off completely to go on a stroll in the village instead. Of course this typically leads to the guy having to complete such tasks later, often under the raging fist of his mother. Shikashu is not completely without emotion although at most times he may seem to be. In fact, Shikashu has a rather wide range of emotions but typically doesn't open those emotions up unless he is around relatives or close friends. In fact Shikashu tends to be a bit of a silly guy when in the mood often going a little out of his way to tease his friends, of course in a more lazy nara-esque manner, but teasing nonetheless. Shikashu is also extremely protective of his close friends and will often threaten to kill anyone that dares harm them. This is also better shown when Shikashu becomes extremely aggravated and thus causes a huge scene letting his Uzumaki blood boil. In states like this he might actually flip a table or two and string a few curse words at someone, though he never takes it as far as real violence. Like a typical Nara Shikashu has exceptional intelligence and often proves this time and time again by managing to weave his way through scenarios that most men would dare not tread into to begin with. A man whom could manipulate the shadows and a woman whose hair was as fiery as the sun itself. They had had many encounters as the two had been spawned in the same village as the other during a great time of strife. One was known as a great commander and strategist for Konoha's forces, and the other was merely a pawn in the eyes of many. Compaired to Shogi, they were the Knight and Sacrificial Pawn. However, what no one saw coming was a growing relationship between the two. A relationship of combined passion and strife. A relationship that often taxed the lazier male, but aroused the wilder female. It was a relationship of two polar opposites that would end up spawning something new. On the evening of August 31 a small infant would be born to the couple. His small head of hair was already as fiery and passionate as his mother's. As the boy, now named Shikashu, grew to be a toddler it was already quite evident that the boy took more after his father in mannerisms than he did his mother. Often displaying next to no energy to do anything, the very young boy often displayed pleasure in simple things such as watching dragon flies buzz around a pond or gazing up at the clouds. The only thing the boy really seemed to show any energy for, even at this age, was protesting against eating vegetables. He slowly grew out of that protestation as he got older and older. At the age of six he started to really show more interests in all sort of different things. Even at this age the boy was also showing that he had high hopes in the terms on intelligence. He would certainly be one of those Nara geniuses. He displayed this even more so when at last the boy's father began to show him the arts hiden away by the Nara clan for generations. As expected the boy took to the hiden arts fairly quickly and within a single week he had already learned to use the Kagemane technique. With how quickly the boy learned the technique his father decided to give the boy an option, Go to the Academy or Practice more techniques Outside of School and help his mother around the House. Let's just say the boy picked the option he saw as being less tedious and thus his path to becoming a shinobi opened up. By the time he was the age of seven Shikashu was taking classes at the academy, however he wasn't taking classes with the first years, no he was taking classes with the third years because of how quick of a study the boy was. Although there was one small issue with the boy every now and then in class and that was he had this bad habit of falling asleep. Although the teacher would typically catch him in the act, the boy never seemed to care and kept doing it. This eventually cause the teachers to knock him back a grade as a sort of punishment for the boy. However things became worse in the boy's eighth year. At the age of eight the boy began skipping class all together at times with a few of the other students. What made things worse was that even at this point the boy was able to out smart the teacher and cause a huge pain for them when they never seemed to be capable of finding him. This was soon put to a stop by his ninth year. After having gotten a scolding from his father and being thrown across the room by his mother, Shikashu soon stopped acting out by ditching class. He started to behave at least a bit more, despite the fact that he still sometimes fell asleep in class. Of course the teachers became much more strict with the boy, often punishing him for falling asleep by making him do more supervised outside work than the others. Shikashu didn't seem to ever really mind this too much, as long as he didn't have to feel the wrath of his mother for a few more hours, he didn't care what he had to do. Sometimes he really did hate her, at other times he really took after her. By his tenth year Shikashu had developed a close friendship with one of his classmates. The boy was older than him by a single year, but that didn't stop many of the other students from picking on the kid. Why did they pick on him? Well it was because the kid was obvious over-weight, likely from all the snacks he ate, but what else was to be expected from someone of the Akimichi clan? Shikashu was almost immediately sympathetic with his friend Choukuro. He knew it was difficult living life everyday knowing that you would be picked on for no real viable reason. In fact Shikashu had to live with it a bit himself for being the oddball Nara. So the boy really did understand where Choukuro was coming from and thus provided the friend that the boy needed. In return Choukuro proved to be an awesome friend as well. However Choukuro would be scared half to death one day when some of the other kids decided to take harassment a little too far. They resulted to throwing rocks and such at the boy. This cause several scrapes and cuts on the much larger boy, but it also did more than that. Shikashu, who had been away getting some drinks, arrived at the scene and seeing what was going on the boy snapped. Showing that incredible rage that his own mother was known for, the boy ran in with a battle cry before kicking one of the bullies in the jaw with a flying kick. Upon landing he immediately punched another in the throat. The bullies ran, abandoning their injured friends as they fled for dear life. Shikashu would be restrained by Choukuro from hurting the injured boys anymore than he already had for at least five minutes before he finally calmed down. When Shikashu finally realized what he had done he was rather horrified with himself. Breaking free of Choukuro's grasp the young red head ran away from the scene as fast as he could his eyes blinded with tears at the sheer horror of what he felt within himself. He ran and ran until he thought he couldn't run anymore, but even then he at least walked, and never did he stop that is until he reached a special forest. It was a forest that his family was known to have jurisdiction over. Inside the forest was said to be a special species of deer, however Shikashu had never seen them. Thinking of them as a myth, the boy thought the forest would be the best place to hide. To hide from all of society and rot away like the monster he portrayed himself to be at that point. He portrayed himself a monster, because what if he had hurt Choukuro, or some other innocent person? What if he lost all complete control? He couldn't bare the thought. Sitting under a large tree within the forest, the boy pulled his legs close to him and held his crimson haired head in his hands. Tears streaming down his face he let all of his worries and anguish cry out of his body. He was like the for perhaps a good hour before the boy finally passed out laying under that tree. Only when he finally woke up, the boy wasn't alone. Laying just a few feet from him was perhaps the most beautiful beast he had ever seen. With a coat that was reddish brown speckled with white dots and streaks she stared at him with beady black eyes. She was a youngling of her kind, perhaps only a few months old, only it was quite obvious the young girl was rather malnourished. Almost instantly feeling for the poor fawn, Shikashu took it upon himself to care for the young girl. So for the rest of his tenth year and much of his eleventh Shikashu wouldn't see much of Choukuro inside or even outside of school. Instead he usually found himself running around the village or forest in order to care for and strengthen the body of the young abandoned fawn. Within the first months of caring for the poor deer, Shikashu was able to get the girl back up on her feet. Within the first year he managed to get her to stay on her feet. In the second year she began to really follow Shikashu around, sometimes even showing up on the Nara compound as if expecting to find him. Shikashu's father, having returned from the war effort, woke up one morning to find the beautiful deer in their back yard. She looked as though she was fully grown at this point despite being a bit small for her breed. When Shikazu asked his son about the deer the boy freaked out at first not expecting her to follow him into the village, however the father merely laughed. Embarrassed at first, Shikashu told his father the story about his meeting Hōbeni, the name he had given the deer, however the father merely patted the boy on the back before adding something about apologizing to Choukuro. Realizing now he had almost completely forgotten about his friend, Shikashu quickly returned Hobeni to the forest where she would likely be safe before running off to find the Akimichi. Of course when Shikashu did finally find the boy he didn't receive as good of a welcome as he would have liked or as bad of one as he would have expected. No instead Choukuro punched him in the face flooring the Nara before scolding him for abandoning him that day. Shikashu, now twelve, looked down in regret before apologizing to Choukuro. At that point Choukuro punched him again. Not because he was mad, but to snap Shikashu out of the uncharacteristic state he had been in as of late. Standing up brushing the dirt from his clothes and blood from his lip Shikashu muttered something about someone or something being a pain in the ass before letting out an exasperated sigh and grinning. He completely agreed with the Akimichi that day, he did deserve a bit of the beating. It was in that year the Shikashu graduated from the academy. However instead of being placed in the typical Ino-Shika-Cho team, Shikashu was instead taken under the wing of his father as a sort of mentor and pupil relationship. From here on his father would take time away from the war effort to train his son personally day in and day out how to use the more advanced techniques within their clan's secrets. As such within four months Shikashu mastered the Shadow Strangle technique along with the Climbing Trees Art and Water Walking Art. By the next year after that, about mid way into Shikashu's thirteenth year, Shikashu was taught the Shadow Sewing technique. Not long after Shikashu learned this technique tragedy struck. The blaze of the village that was always shrouded with curtains of rain could be seen from as far away as the walls of Konoha. It absolutely terrified Shikashu to think that there was something strong enough in the world that could completely decimate a village within only a few hours, but alas there was and the effects of that day would forever mar the face of the earth. It wasn't too long after this tragedy that the fourth hokage managed to at long last form a peace with the other villages. Finally Konoha came to know a good, relaxing peace, however Shikashu couldn't help but feel something in the pit of his stomach like it wasn't over, not for a long shot. As such Shikashu, with the permission of the Kage and his father's guidance, left the village for a three year journey at the age of fourteen so he could better learn to be a shinobi. During this time, the deer, Hobeni, that Shikashu had nursed back to health, once again began to follow the teen. Following him now closer than she ever had before Hobeni served as a familiar to Shikashu through out his travels. During his travels Shikashu started to take up training in endurance and taijutsu figuring that if any sort of situation came down to the wire he could perhaps rely more on his physical strength and intelligence rather than just ninjutsu and intelligence/luck. Shikashu figured if he could play his cards right, that he would be able to become something much more different than the other Nara, and perhaps something better. So Shikashu spent the better of his away from home training working on his taijutsu skills rather than his ninjutsu skills, of course this didn't mean he didn't keep in practice with his ninjutsu just that he more so prioritized his taijutsu. By the time Shikashu returned to the village three years later at the age of seventeen, he looked vastly different than he had when he originally left. Now will many tattoos adorning his body, and muscles that no one really knew he had before, Shikashu really appeared much more like a young man, while at the same time a bit like a rebel Nara. So in the year of his returning Shikashu decided to enroll in the newly restarted Chuunin Exams. While many of the exams approved to be daunting to many of the shinobi, Shikashu proved again and again that he was a nara through and through. He passed the written exam with flying colors thanks to his shadow techniques. He passed the survival challenge barely unscathed thanks to his taijutsu and intellect. And when the final round came he ended up deciding to use Nara tricks over brute strength, only relying on the strength when all else failed. This in the end earned Shikashu as well as three other shinobi that year the rank of Chuunin. Shikashu particularly so for showing that he was capable or realizing his limits and analyzing a situation to know what tactic would be best for the occasion. During Shikashu's time as a Chuunin he took more to developing his Nara Techniques over anything else while working on his Taijutsu on the side. Of course his training time now often took the back seat to doing various tasks such as helping teach at the academy or running higher ranked missions with other chuunin. However despite the disruptions Shikashu was still able to accomplish creating various new techniques using the Nara Clan's Kagemane Technique as a base. The first of these techniques he created and mastered by his nineteenth year. This was Kagegakure which by manipulating shadows to cover his body he could effectively vanish within present shadows to be undetected by the naked eye. This technique quickly spread through the Nara Clan through his tutelage allowing Nara to now play a better role, should they choose to, within the ANBU task force. Two years later by using the Kagegakure technique as a medium and building onto it Shikashu eventually figured out how to actually allow his body to physically melt into the shadows around him and thus using a network of shadows travel from one point to another fairly quickly and without detection. Not only did he manage to at this point create two techniques branching from his family's hiden techniques but at this point Shikashu had made his father quite proud of the rebel Nara. His father grew proud of him because Shikashu not only embraced his Nara and even his Uzumaki heritage, but he proved time and time again that he could rise above challenges. This was proven especially so in Shikashu twenty second year when he was sent on a mission with Choukuro. The mission was a recon mission that quickly went wrong. Someone had leaked information to the enemy of their whereabouts and Shikashu and Choukuro walked right into an ambush when they arrived. While alone Shikashu could have easily gotten out he was with a partner. A partner that was his best friend nonetheless. He couldn't just leave Choukuro behind no matter how much he begged him to. Although Shikashu did seemingly abandon Choukuro when he disappeared from the battel Choukuro was never truly alone as Shikashu remained nearby only hidden away in the shadows. Having predicted the possibility of combat occurring Shikashu had prepared a few little treats for the enemy. Flinging a flash grenade into the middle of the battle Shikashu blinded everyone including his best friend, however during the flash he managed to take down a couple of guys and catch Choukuro in a shadow mimic before running away from the confrontation. As he began to run, Shikashu let of two other flash grenades behind himself further blinding the enemies while he made his escape with his best friend in tow. However Choukuro had been injured in the confrontation and eventually the two had to stop in order to treat the wound. This allowed for the remaining enemies to track the two shinobi down and once again pin them. At this point Shikashu decided he had no choice but to trick the enemy shinobi. So utilizing his suiton nature with a mixture of his Nara techniques Shikashu managed to subdue or capture most of the men while the others soon fled. Deeming it too dangerous to Choukuro to pursue, Shikashu sought to Choukuro getting safely home before he filed the report. Having successfully captured at least one of the bandits as well also worked in his, and konoha's, favor down the line as within the next few days all of the bandits were eliminated. A year later after much review Shikashu was seen as fit to partake in an exam to become the next level of shinobi, that of a jounin. While the details of this exam remain out of record it is said Shikashu passed with flying colors easily rising up to the rank of jounin in his twenty third year. Ever since becoming jounin Shikashu has worked many more dangerous missions often serving as the master mind behind attack coordinations and the likes. It wasn't until within the past two years that the council saw him fit to lead a genin team and while he failed his first couple of teams right out of the gate and sent them back to the academy, he is still searching for that team that he will be able to out right mentor without having to worry about them getting each other killed.

Unlike the typical Nara, Shikashu deemed it necessary to not only train his ninjutsu skills with the clan's techniques, but to train his body to be able to fight in those scenarios in which be may not be able to utilize such techniques. As such he began to don weighted clothing that would enhance his endurance over time as well as partake in rigorous training exercises that most Nara would deem too tasking or simply a waste of time. As a result of his training Shikashu, once to drops his weighted clothing, is capable of dealing blows that could easily cripple the untrained man without hitting vital spots.

As a result from his strength training, once Shikashu drops his weighted clothing his speed increases by three fold. This doesn't allow the man to seemingly vanish into thin air at such high speeds, but merely allows him to maneuver around much quickly than before and allows him to increase the rate at which he can travel.

This specific Taijutsu style focuses on delivering swift and devastating blows to one's target. As such the user will usually attack with blows of equal or greater strength.

|||HIDEN: KAGE NO JUTSU|||
The Hiden Kage techniques are techniques developed by the Nara Clan. All Nara that are born into the clan and capable of using ninjutsu typically learn how to wield these secret techniques, and Shikashu is no exception. Shikashu, over the years, has learned to manipulate these techniques in a variety of ways the many Nara may or may not have thought of just yet.

Like most of the Nara Clan Shikashu possesses exceptional intellect and processing capabilities. Being capable of thinking through more than several steps ahead in combat as well as piecing together bits of information given to form a plan in nearly the blink of an eye.

Shikashu was born to an Uzumaki mother, however did not inherit most of their unique features. Two things he did happen to inherit, however, was her crimson hair and a larger than normal chakra pool.
