The majority of the Akimichi Clan build up their bodies in order to the point that they are able to inflict crippling blows to their enemies, which they combine with their jutsu to devastate their enemies on a grand scale. They are also adept bō users that use a type of bō that they can lengthen to remain proportionate with their size.

Calorie Control:
Members of the Akimichi Clan can manipulate their bodies calories in such away to convert them into chakra in order to perform their more powerful techniques. In order to make the process easier, they developed the Three Colored pills, which are very dangerous to use. Converting the calories into chakra causes rapid weight loss, so the Akimichi eat excessive amounts of food to keep their reserves up.
