Akido is a tall man standing at six feet and five inches. He has a muscular frame but isn't too heavy weighing just about one hundred and eighty five pounds. His eyes are dark as coal. His skin fair not suffering from the same pale color that most that inhabit the Mist village have. His face is usually free of emotion when roaming around the village but when he is with someone he generally likes he usually smiles showing off his shark like teeth. His hair is a black color. Akido's hair hangs down to his midsection in the back. In the front there is a hair piece that keeps it from messing with his vision. Usually before a battle Akido will tie his hair into a ponytail to make it more manageable.
Akido wears a sleeveless black vest and a pair of long black pants. Wrapped around his neck, forearms and ankles are bandages. His usual wardrobe is covered by a long sleeve black robe. The sleeves of the robe are so long that neither of Akido's arms or hands are visible when it is on. Inside of the robe is two pouches on both side. He has two pouches on both side of his waist. As well as a pouch on his right pants leg. Along with all these storage spaces for weapons Akido carries the illustrious Kibikiribocho on his back. Akido usually doesn't leave his robe unless the mission requires his full attention and effort. Wrapped around his waist like a belt is the headband he wears to show his allegiance to Kirigakure. He has cloth stitched to extend the size of the headband to make it fit around his waist.

Born in the dark of night. Akido had nothing special surrounding his birth. His parents were commoners in the Mist village. They had been genin that didn't pass the chunin exams. Due to their failures they decide the life of a regular citizen was best for them. Secretly Akido's father wished his son could succeed where he had failed but it wasn't something that he would force upon his son. He wanted his son to grow up making his own decisions. While his father thought of his son like that his mother thought of him as a king always giving the boy whatever he wanted and raising him like he was royalty. An average early childhood is what Akido had.
When he entered the Academy he made friends like anyone else when he wasn't training. He was a interesting student for the teachers. They thought his personality and how he talked with so much confidence along with his young age and talent was different. Usually the confident children weren't very talented and they did not speak at the level of Akido. He called his counterparts inferior beings and spent most of his time trying to prove why he was the best in his class. His work ethic outstanding and he was studious. These attributes lead to him being near the top of his class upon graduation.
After graduation Akido found himself upon a team with two females one who was quite a talent in genjutsu and the other a wiz with a sword. AKido himself found that he too was one interested in becoming a user of swords. He grew up hearing stories of the warriors that were known as the Seven Swordsmen of The Mist. Akido wanted to one day hear his name and know that it resonate emotions of fear in the ears of anyone who heard it. He knew that if he became as talented with a blade as the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist he would one day supersede one and become the legend he dreamed of. Akido would train for days on end with just his two teammates against him and the sword. Although there were two of them they still were unable to compete with the young child and his Sensei took notice to this. He was impressed by the use of the boy's blade but had seen so many children like Akido dream of being Swordsmen and fail because all they focused on was the blade.
Akido's Sensei made him take days off from swordsmanship to focus on Ninjutsu. He wanted to make sure the boy became well rounded. This was to guarantee that if he wasn't successful at becoming one of the Illustrious seven he would still be more than serviceable to Kirigakure. For over a year he trained with his Sensei and his comrades to become the best of the best. By the time everything was said and done his team was deemed ready for the Chunin exams. Akido was warned by his teacher that his teammates would probably latch onto him hoping to be carried through the early rounds. However, as the exams continued they would become enemies. As a good luck gift it was there that Akido received a new broad sword.
The chunin exams are never a walk in the park but Akido struggled in the early rounds helping out his partners. Surprisingly he was able to bring them all the way to the single competition. Unfortunately for one of his comrades they would face Akido in the early rounds. It was the girl who also took interest in the use of blades that would be the first one to become deceased due to the violence involved in the chunin exams. Being Akido's first time actually killing someone his Sensei was in actual shock to how he reacted to killing the girl. It was as if it meant nothing to him. When spoken to it after the match he said "She was a necessary casualty in my path to success." The rest of the exams were more of the same. Akido tore through most that were willing to compete with him. In one of the rounds he even had someone surrender before the match even started.
Now as a chunin he was given many missions that were right up his alley due to his violent nature. Most of the time he was given search and destroy missions where he would accompany a tracker ninja and handle the destroying part. It was probably best that they did that because he certainly wasn't made to teach children in the academy or be a proctor. Akido was meant to be a destructive force unleashed by the village for their own benefit and it was something at the time he understood well. He didn't mind working for the village as he believed stories of his swordsmanship would cause The Seven as he called them to take notice in him. It took two years before he finally met all of the members of the seven swordsmen of the mist. At the time the Mizukage personally introduced him to all of the members along with 6 other Swordsmen he had deemed strong enough to potentially study and one day become the successor to these swordsmen. On that day Akido began to resent the wielders of the swords he dreamed of holding. They were all nasty and foul people. No respect for their young inferior swordsman.
Akido himself actually got into physical altercation with the wielder of the Kubikiribōchō, Kenpachi. Although his sword was no match for the giant blade. His confidence and refusal to step down from the fight with the brute who wielded the sword impressed those around him. The first swing from the Kubikiribocho broke Akido's sword. After that he was forced to use taijutsu and ninjutsu while avoiding the large swings that the Swordsman used. It was as if he was toying with the 17 year old boy. He had no interest in killing him he was only interested in seeing him suffer but in a surprising turn of events that wouldn't happen. When the fight looked like it was becoming too much for Akido it was stopped by the Mizukage who had declared that he had seen enough. At that moment Akido knew he had to work much harder to become one of them.
It was during these years that he would begin to be put on missions where the proverbial tanks of the groups were members of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist. He worked closely with them and seeing their skills up close and personal caused him to sometimes obsess with their apparent skill and technique. After serving alongside them for so long. Akido knew that he would one day challenge the wielder of the Kubikiribocho to a fight to the death for the sword. It was something he trained towards after every mission. Even during the nights he couldn't sleep he would rise from his bed and go back to working on ways to make himself stronger so he could have a strategy to get the blade away from the wielder. Kenpachi was strong but Akido was sure that he could defeat him if the blade wasn't in his hand. For 2 more years Akido waited in the shadows learning all he could from being a teammate with the swordsmen on missions of violence for the Mist Village. He served valiantly with the rest of them.
Some time before his 20th birthday he decided it was time for him to face Kenpachi. He knew of Kenpachi's regular daily travels and happened to catch him in the training fields early in the afternoon. It was at the moment he declared " The Kubikiribocho desires a new Swordsman to wield it. That man will be me." Kenpachi being challenged by many shinobi before Akido openly accepted the fight. Their battle was something of a legend in the village for a long time. Rumors had it that Akido had poisoned Kenpachi the night before so he never stood a chance against the younger and healthier opponent. Others had believed that Kenpachi had given the sword to Akido before he decided it was time for him to venture the world and leave his post as one of the seven. The most prevalent of these stories was that Kenpachi knowing he was dying of illness decided it was best to give the sword to someone he himself found worthy.
In reality Akido had simply become to much for the older man to handle. When they fought Akido using his dominating physical combat style along with his Ninjutsu to injure Kenpachi after disarming him from the sword that he hung onto like a lifeline. Without the sword Kenpachi was forced to battle in a style that Akido was much more comfortable in. By the end of the battle Akido was also batter and bruised but Kenpachi was no longer a member of the world of the living. After a war of a battle that lasted over 3 hours Akido was now the rightful owner of the Kubikiribocho. His hard work made him at the time the youngest member of the Seven Swordsmen of the mist. At the start of his service as a swordsmen of the mist the rest of his comrades resented him. Kenpachi was well liked throughout the village for the heroic things he did on mission. The rest of the swordsmen however, knew always of the ever existing target on their backs because of their positions and respected Akido because of his ability to replace one of their own.
While serving the swordsmen Akido saw many of his fellow swordsmen die on the field of battle. Twice he has have carried the sword of a slain comrade back to the village to be claimed by the next generation of the Seven swordsmen of the mist. He has also become a powerful user of the Kubikiribocho. He has slain many adversaries with the blade and since becoming the wielder of the blade no one has ever been able to defeat him battle be it a spar or a mission to kill whoever the target is.
After five years have passed since he himself was first a member of the seven he is now the second longest current tenured member. All the respect he has earned as a member of the group no longer means anything to him. He now aspires of much bigger things. He now dreams of becoming the Mizukage ,the most respected position in Kirigakure. He believes that his constant work and reputation that he continues to build to this day will lead to the position becoming his.

Silent Killing Techique: As the name suggests, this technique is simply a very quiet method of killing an opponent, usually from behind with a blade. Additionally, because the user moves silently, it cannot be defended against, because the attack cannot be anticipated. The user will often slit their opponent's throat, preventing any cry that might give them away. Akido like other members of the Mist village is skilled in Attacking from within the mist. He doesn't make a sound while attacking those inside of the mist. He also doesn't need to see those inside of the mist to track them down. Hearing them breath or make steps is more than enough for him to catch them.
Immense Physical Strength: Training his body for taking and dishing out taijutsu Akido has immense physical strength. His power is always on display by his ability to keep up with most shinobi while carrying the Kubikiribocho at all times. His levels of strength, endurance, and stamina is not matched by most. Akido takes advantage of this strength in his style of fighting by trying to take advantage of his strength to crush his opponents almost immediately after a fight has begun.

Kubikiribocho Mastery : Akido has been wielding the sword for five years of his life and has been training to wield swords just like it since he was a boy. After five years with the sword Akido has no struggles with holding the sword up and swings it like it is a regular sized blade in his hands. The size of the blade does not compromise his speed or put a major strain on his body. In times of need he has been shown to be able to swing the sword with only one hand.
