He's tall, muscular and has that rogue-ish look in his eyes. He's usually clean-shaven but every now again something of a five o'clock shadow will appear. That's another thing that seems to send the girl's crazy his golden hair always windswept or unkempt. His looks are generally true to his carefree personality from his messy hair down to his often forgotten forehead protector. He prefers to wear simple grey or white clothing. Even in the coldest temperatures he can be found in a thin, cloth shirt. He doesn't seem to get cold quite as easily as others. He has been told by many a woman that he is 'pretty damn hot' though they may not be complimenting his body-heat when they say that. ► Mental Assessment Hashi appears to most as a laid back, some (many) would say to the point of laziness, sort of fellow who would be happy to simply sit in his garden with his pipe for the rest of his life. However Hashi's spirit is like that of a dwindling fire. It may not burn brightly all the time but when it is needed it can leap forth into a blazing inferno of destruction. When Hashi is not filling out paperwork, going on missions and smoking he is usually to be found in the company of woman. In fact scratch that last part. He is udually doing one or two of those things while he is in the company of woman. Throughout his career as a shinobi he has endured many late-night training sessions with his fellow shinobi and even, on three occasions, his own sensai. It has gotten him into quite a bit of trouble in the past, usually with his sensai who may have been a little bitter when she found out he was two-timing her, but usually his silvery tongue can get him out of said situations. His nickname comes from the fact that once a woman is with him it is hard to stop being with him despite his ever-changing interests. He's a Bad Habit. When Hashi is calm, and can be bothered to switch his brain on, he is great thinker. Nothing compared to say a Nara but when he puts his mind to something it is rarely left undone. It is his mind, which he has grown more accustomed to using now than when he was a Genin that has attributed to his recent promotion to Hanchou. The easiest way to madden Hashi, by far, is by depriving him of a smoke. In fact Hashi has been smoking so consistently for so long he simply cannot handle withdrawal. It starts with him getting fidgety, leading on to anxiety and snapping followed by sheer rage. This can, of course, lead to some dangerous situations if he loses it completely ► Background Information Age 0 – Hashi was born to Doyu Yorino and Rin Yorino in the Village Hidden in the Grass. His father is a Chuunin Proctor and his Mother a Chuunin Team Leader. Age 4 – Hashi begins a life-long obsession with tobacco when he takes a puff of his father's pipe out of curiosity. He is sent to his room for his misconduct... Without Supper! His Mother is promoted to ANBU several months later. The two events are unrelated (obviously). Age 5 – Hashi is accepted into Academy early after a Chuunin spots him beat up two first year academy students for the affection of a neighbour called Yori Miyamo. While it is true he used no more skill than knowing when to dodge and when to trip someone up but apparently this is enough promise for an Elite Academy of Ninja. Hashi's father is promoted to Jounin in the same year. Age 7 – Hashi's father dies while out on a mission. His mother takes a temporary leave of absence to grieve. Age 8 – Hashi is caught out by his mother when the Academy Chuunin tell her he is dropping behind. Upon further investigation Rin finds out that Hashi has actually mastered most of the Academy techniques and is failing in a purposeful attempt to not have to graduate early. He is scalded thoroughly and put back on track to graduation. Age 9 – With some enticing from his mother Hashi graduates when he would've been perfectly happy doing his full-time at the Academy. He is assigned to Team One lead by Sako Haruna. His team mates are Yori Miyamo, a hot-headed Genin hoping to become a medical nin one day (the girl for whom he had beat those two academy students for all those years ago), and Toku Hazorami a hardcore taijutsu nin destined to be Hashi's rival both of which having graduated early at the age of 10. Hashi is still the youngest. Hashi's mother takes an offer to rejoin the ranks of nin as a Jonin Sensai. Age 10 – Hashi comes out of the closet and begins to smoke openly. His mother fights him about it at first but eventually relents gifting him with his father's pipe. Solid parenting is done that day. Seriously. I'm not kidding. Learning out your ten-year old smokes and rewarding that with a family heirloom is just great. Age 11 - Hashi's team take the Chuunin exams. Hashi's laziness costs the team dearly and they fail before making it to the arena rounds. Age12 – By the time he should be graduated he is already an experienced Genin having unlocked and utilised his katon affinity on some missions. Age 13 – Hashi's team take the Chuunin exams and this time get through to the final stage. Hashi is forced to face Yori in the final round and throws the match. After she is made Chuunin he confesses his love for her. She refuses him saying instead that she is in love with Toku. Toku and Hashi fight but are stopped by their sensai before it gets out of hand. I mean between them they could have started a wildfire in a savannah and punched a tree really hard. It was getting pretty out hand. Age 15 – Hashi and Toku take the chuunin exams and are both made Chuunin. Hashi's laziness has taken something of a back seat to training ever since he fought Toku and has been overtaking the boy in skill slowly but surely. He is well-versed in C-Rank Katon techniques by now and is starting to become quite a well-rounded shinobi. Despite this Yori still prefers Toku. Age 17 – Hashi is burning through Katon techniques like flame through twiglets. He has found a sharp degree of focus he can use when he needs to for training and missions. Sako and he spend a lot of time training together and, after a particularly rigorous training session and an incident at the hot spring, they sleep together. After that night Hashi is never quite the same and targets woman with confidence and charm beyond what he once had. Luckily enough for him his body has developed quite a bit from the skinny runt he once was and girl's are taking a notice of him even before he pays them a visit. Age 19 – Hashi joins the ANBU along with Toku and Yori and the old squad is reunited with a shinobi only known as Yamoku as their team leader. He is a strict leader but knows when to quit. He and Hashi very rarely get along and he often refers to him by his nickname which, by the way, Hashi has a firm hatred for. Hashi later becomes a Jounin the first mark of his vast improvement over his team mates who are still chuunin. Hashi and Toku begin to put their differences aside and become friends. Age 21 – Yori makes Jounin but Toku fails the exam. A few months later the squad are sent to deal with a rogue shinobi group too close to the village. Toku is badly wounded which throws Hashi into a rage. In his rage he doesn't notice the simplest of exploding tag traps but Yamoku does and pushes him away at the last second taking the full brunt of the blast for him his last words being “You really are a bad habit, Yorino...”. He died in Hashi's arms. Toku, however, survives having only a month of bed rest to show for it. Age 22 – After a brief spell of random Jounin filling in as their squad leader for missions Hashi is eventually chosen to be squad leader and a Jounin called Hinata is added to the ANBU team. A few months after his appointment Yori is made the Head Medical Jounin and has to quit the squad. She is replaced by Gori a Doton nin as calm as the earth itself. Toku and Yori are soon married after that. Hashi, who is Toku's best friend by now, attends as Toku's best man. He even beds a bridesmaid. Age 25 - Yori falls pregnant with a son and retires from the life of a Shinobi. On a mission to infiltrate an enemy village Toku is killed by enemy nin. Hashi explodes in anger and fury and tries to single-handedly take on the minor village nin. He has to be force-ably dragged from the scene by Gori and Hinata. Yori has her child and calls it Toku after it's father. Hashi becomes his godfather. Age 27 – Hashi's mother falls ill and dies one of the only natural deaths Hashi has ever experienced. It shakes him. He leaves the ANBU with the intention of becoming a sensai. Kasumi has different ideas and, for some reason or another, Hashi finds himself assigned to protect her. So starts the rest of his life.
