He has medium long black hair with a long segmented pony-tail that stretches down to his ankles and red, ringed eyes. He wears purple makeup on his eyes that fades towards the inner portion of his eyelids. Satsujin wears an Indian chunnari around his neck with a small, short sleeved black choli which reveals his midriff under it. He wears an Indian leg dress, that stops at his ankles, with no shoes. He wears golden bangled bracelets that extend from his elbows to his wrists and a golden bangled necklace with a ruby in the center that are inspired by Rajasthani folk dancers. ► Mental Assessment Satsujin is cruel, arrogant and somewhat childish. Usually he doesn't listen to anyone's advice or orders, and does things his own way. He is usually disrespectful, even to his fellow Kirigakure Shinobi. He noticeably dislikes opponents who are cowardly, instead preferring opponents who are brave enough to face him. He also seems to dislike opponents who are weaker than him, preferring to face opponents who possess either the same level of skill as him or are a bit stronger than him. Satsujin comes off as being very dark. He claims to enjoy the relationship between victim and murderer, stating that before the murderer kills their victim the two share a level of intimacy which is too deep for words. He also views love as a sadomasochistic relationship, believing that lovers care deeply for each other and yet hurt each other whenever they are together. In spite of his childish attitude, Satsujin bears a deep-seated hatred for Modern day Shinobi, claiming that they've lost the pride they once had. He exclaims that they've become soft, and thus has made it a duty to rise to the top of the shinobi world to restore it to it's former potential. He seems to be careless about what others think, goading others into feeling pity for them and then laughing at them. He is a good actor, and goes to great lengths to mock others. Because of his confidence in his abilities he enjoys fighting and war. He seems to be apathetic, not shedding a tear when his comrades die, instead he seemed to care very little. He believes the world is weak as it is, and that it can only be as strong as it's weakest member. As a result, Satsujin wishes to eradicate all weak Shinobi. Thus only the strong can survive. ► Background Information

Satsujin was born a year after peace had been brought to the shinobi world. He was born unto a Chunin father, named Ryohei; and a Chunin mother, named Kyoko. His parents had taken in his cousins, after his uncle had died in a battle just before the war's end. Satsujin seemingly grew up peacefully, getting along with his family. He had no want to become a shinobi, but his father urged him to do so. He had a close relationship with his father, but do to his father never being home, Satsujin became cold. He became more reserved and distant from his own family, feeling as though they weren't free spirited enough. He began to feel as though they were weak, always listening to orders from their superiors regardless of how insolent it seemed. However, as he was told, Satsujin would enroll in the shinobi academy, in order to become a shinobi like his father wished.
Academy Years
Satsujin would enroll into the academy at age 6. He began using the lessons he learned at school to aid him in learning techniques from his own clan, the Itami clan. Even at age 6, Satsujin had already began practicing his nature transformation skills, soon revealing his especially adept skill in Fire Release techniques.
In school, Satsujin was a reserved genius. He purposely didn't apply himself, giving him more time to learn what he wanted to learn before graduating. Even though his cousins were also in the academy with him, Satsujin remained reserved, rarely associating with them.
Within a year, Satsujin had shown great potential as a shinobi, and graduated the academy at age 7. His father and mother were not present at his graduation.
A Genin Goes Gruesome
As a genin, Satsujin seemingly opened up more to those around him. He became friendlier, acting more like a child should. However, this was all a facade. He grew to hate everyone around him, everyone except those with great strength. His mentality began to change. It was at this time, that Satsujin adopted a Darwinist mindset, basically believing that only the strong can survive. He believed it was his job to destroy the weak. Thus he began striving for such strength, and began looking for the secret scrolls of the Itami Clan.
With his parents constant absence, Satsujin easily gained ownership of all of the scrolls from the clan, removing them from his household and hiding them someplace safe. It would be now that he would make his first attempt at eradicating the weak; his family. They were subservient weaklings in his eyes, and if they were strong enough, they would survive his attack. One midday, before his parents arrived home, Satsujin lit the house ablaze, surrounding his cousins within the flames. To avoid suspicion, Satsujin remained inside with the flames. His plan was to force his parents to attempt to save the children, killing them all in the process. His plan would go with great success, as his parents arrived to save them. His father attempted to fight off the flames whilst his mother attempted to round up and save the children. When his mother got close to him, of course attempting to save her own child first, Satsujin impaled her heart with a wooden stake. She looked down at her son as she fell dead. Hearing his wife's last cry, Ryohei rushed to attempt to save her and the children. At this point, there was a small gap where the flames did not exist, which would work as an escape for Satsujin. He'd quickly flee, leaving his family inside the flaming building, watching closely as it collapsed onto them, killing them all. The fire was made to look like a freak accident from a small boy who didn't quite master a jutsu, and thus Satsujin was not held at fault.
He would remain relatively silent for the next four years. Simply going on missions, and training with his squad. To most, it looked as though he was a grieving boy, but in reality, Satsujin was simply biding time, waiting for his next chance to eradicate the weak.
