Completed.
Huff. Haaa. His laboured breathing resounded around the immediate area. His skin and clothing were drenched in sweat - hardworking sweat. The amount of effort he placed into his training was clearly being displayed by his body. "I did it." An awkward smile sprouted on his face, almost as if the very effort of smiling was too much, and indeed it was. Dropping to his knees, he continued to take deep breaths. It was about two minutes before his body would even respond a little to his demands. His hands moved towards his face to wipe the sweat off it and regain what eye-sight he can, despite the rigorous training causing it to blur naturally.
"Shikashu," his older brother who possessed distinguishable red hair, "you're going to be so surprised when i get back. Hehe." Those words escaped his lips before he fell to a peaceful slumber on the grassy plains of the third training grounds.
4 Hours Passed
A small grumble ignited the end of his slumber. His eyes slowly opened to the sight of a grassy plain, trees and a lake. "How long was i out?" Picking himself up and stretching the leftover sleep away, he pondered on the amount of time he spent sleeping in the middle of the training fields, it's a blessing he didn't get sunburn, but this was probably due to the fact he slept at night and now it was the starting of sunrise. He felt completely refreshed despite the short rest, his chakra seemed to have fully restored, and he could probably go for another all-nighter, a mystery of the human body yet again being displayed by Iō.
Well, time to give it a second try. He stood upwards and stretched his muscles preparing for yet another training session.

Waking up from her usual eight hour sleep, Mito turned off her alarm that was ringing uncontrollably. She looked out the nearby window to see how early it was, noticing that the sun had just yet to rise. That was exactly what she wanted: An early start.
She hoped for the best, and prayed that she didn't reach the bottom her house only to find out she had another mission. It would make her third mission on her third day. She had to have a break eventually, right? They couldn't give her an assignment every single day, after the next, now could they? Mito didn't know, she was all new to the subject of being a kunoichi.
After taking case of her daily needs like showering and doing her hair, the girl tip-toed down the steps, hoping not to wake her parents. Being the age she was now, and the fact that she could be officially called a ninja, she didn't really have to say she was leaving, if her parents didn't catch her. Her business now, was usually her business. But her parents were just naturally nosy, so they asked questions anyways.
After arriving to the door, she heard footsteps behind her. Crap! she thought to herself as she turned around to face her father. She explained that she was going to get an early start on training. She expressed how much she wanted to work on her shuriken technique, and that the past two missions didn't do anything to enhance her performance. Her dad's face seemed to shine with amazement and happiness.
He obviously was happy his daughter wanted to train.
For whatever reason...
Mito slipped out the door and made her way to the village's training grounds. It had become her favorite place since she had been allowed to go and train by herself. It was usually quiet and empty, oddly enough. She was able to train in silence without distraction, and sometimes - if she was lucky, she could get a partner to train with.
Today, upon reaching the entrance, she spotted someone already there apparently training. Mito tilted her head, trying to recognize who it was. She knew that he looked familiar, and he looked like he was the same age as her. She thought on the question for a moment before remembering that he was one of her main competition, academically, in the academy. He was just so smart!
"Oh, hey Iou-san!"
Like always, Mito's voice was sweet and light. She offered a gentle wave as she continued to walk down to the spot where Iou stand. She stopped a meter or two before and said, "You're training this early too?" 447/2500 words

Having all the sweat evaporated, he wondered if he smelled horrid now. It was an obvious thing for people who trained to smell disgusting afterwards due to the sweat, but just knowing you smelled back can cause so many distractions mentally. Perhaps he should grab his deodorant in his bag and swipe himself before practice, or would that be a waste? He took a sniff and jerked his head back - it won't. As he was about to make his way towards his bag, he could hear a feminine voice, "Oh, hey Iou-san!" He jumped back in surprise. It was Mito.
Mito was a classmate during his Academy Years who would always match his intellect in tests, and she was a fearsome rival at that. Not to mention, she was extremely popular being liked by many boys, while he, he wasn't as popular, close-knit group of friends with a clowny personality. To think she had similar habits of training this early in the morning. If anything, the very meeting flabbergasted him beyond belief.
"M-Mito!" He shouted distancing himself from her as to not allow her to smell his horrid body odor. She got closer, about a meter or two, "You're training this early too?" He looked at her, backing up a little more, why was he so uneasy? It's not like he was being judged back in the academy and didn't want anyone to know about his mishaps. He had to calm down. CALM DOWN!
He chuckled awkwardly, "Yeah. I do this occasionally." He paused looking at her petite form, "Uh, you're going to train to? He...hee, wouldn't peg you to be a morning training type of girl." No he would not. Where's the deodorant!?

It was good that she met up with someone that she actually knew for some time now. It allowed her to properly prepare herself for whatever was to come in the future of their meeting. In the training fields, there were only a few outcomes that could happen with two shinobi in the making. They would obviously want to test their skills, eventually; and what better way was there to test skills besides testing it with a peer of equivalent, or even higher level than yourself?
His outburst reply to her hello seemed a little surprised, almost as if he wasn't expecting anyone else to be outside like him at this time of morning. Mito definitely could relate, as she didn't actually intend to bump into anyone else. She wanted to get a little early morning target practice in, right before people actually made their way to the training field.
She wasn't complaining for the coincidence though. Maybe it was fate.
"Wait.. huh?"
That type of girl? What exactly was that supposed to mean? He was a boy and woke up early to come train, didn't he? Why couldn't she have done the same? Because she was a girl, it made a difference from him? Ha, no! That filled the girl with a little excitement. With the comment being taken in a way that it probably wasn't intended to be taken, Mito was now a bit more pumped. She had the urge to train with Iou, more specifically, she wanted to fight him.
"What did you mean by that?" she voiced in a calm and sweet voice. Of course, she never really was able to speak out of concern or anger in most cases. With the majority of any situation, she just simply kept calm - and that's what she would do now. Casually bring out the suggestion to spar with him, and things would flow smoothly, almost as though she was just asking to be friendly. No, she was asking to prove a point!
As she inched closer, she noticed that he was stepping back. What was wrong? Did she have something on her? Did she smell or something? That couldn't be it. The jog that she took to reach the training field couldn't have made her shower just minutes prior go to waste. But she did smell a hint of something rather foul in the air. Almost like must. Without voicing any objections, she raised her arms and checked herself.
Nope, wasn't her. She smelled like the sweet fragrance that she sprayed on herself after getting dressed. Then what could it have been? The grass certainly couldn't have been smelling like that... It had to be...
"Do you smell that? Is that you?"
In no way or form did she mean the question in an offensive way. Actually, she didn't really care whether or not he smelled bad. At least it came from training, so in her head, it wasn't a stink smell of must coming from his body. It was the strong smell of accomplishment! That was her upside way of thinking about it, though she didn't bother to voice it aloud until she heard his response. 977/2500 words

His thoughts were preoccupied with the notion to smell cleaner with the aid of deodorant, so everything she said was half-processed in his mind. The words came as they were, just words, "Oh you know, that uh...someone like uh..." He stopped his mouth when he could see the slight twitch of her nose, as if a rancid smell nicked its hairs, and his eyes grew wider and he stepped back even more. Can she smell it? He asked himself, it was more of a self-explanatory question from the aforementioned action from before, and then what solidified his already presumptuous question was he lifting up her arm and smelling the pits. He inched backwards in fear.
"Do you smell that? Is that you?" Her voice was so delicate, he couldn't even tell if she was disgusted by his smell, and that was a problem in and of itself. However, he got an idea at that moment that he should've gotten before, "Y-Yes, uhm, i was just training and yeah. One thing lead to another so...yeah." His words were so choppy. The idea was simple: Tell the truth, and so he did.
"How about we spar?" It came out randomly, but in doing so, he could make his way towards his bags and grab his tools and deodorant as well. "I got this cool new jutsu i want to test out, so how about it?" He grabbed his tools one by one, but not before applying some white power-type deodorant underneath his armpits.
