They were meaningless, that's what. There was nothing else to say about such things. People's only purpose was to abandon others in the most crucial moments, a fact that held true for each and every person when given the chance. Kagami had experienced this first hand on multiple occasions, yet people still labeled him as cold and antisocial. Even for those who did know his situation their words were little better. Not that it mattered, of course, for the boy had cut them out years ago and had no plans to change that way of thought. This day was no more special than any other, the sun was shining too brightly, the people talking too loudly, and the existence of others being an overall bother. However, idling about all day was not something that the boy was fond of doing and so he had taken to the village to cure his boredom, more so on the roof tops than the actual streets. He had having to bob and weave his way through them, there was much more freedom up top. Feet dangling off the edge of a particularly high roof the boy peered down on the unsuspecting people with his dark hues. In hand was a rock that he continued to toss up and then catch. Part of him wanted to chuck it down and see what got hit, his aim was pretty decent and the force generated from such a height would prove interesting. No, on the off chance that he got caught then that would lead to actually having to speak to people. Meh, people were so useless. It was uncommon for Shikaya to be away of the other members of the team, this could lead to problems later down the line. For the time she doubt that it could be anything more than just a small breath of air but crazier things had happened to her lately. She seemed to have a magnet for Uchiha boys, she`d recently spent time with two others so it came to no surprise when she came to Kagami. Wearing her black crop top and red vest she sighed, her blue jeans and belts seemed to keep any body shape that she hardly had. With her hair up in a pony tail people would say she looked much like her family of Nara`s typical now she resembled them.

Clan marriages where something that some kids had to get use to, Her mother and father never spoke of the marriage that combined them and honestly she didn`t care to know. Her mother was a beautiful women who spent most of her life dedicating to being a good house wife and mother. There was something about Aya that resembled her mother other than the grey eyes, it was deeper than physical appearance. With her nose stuck in a book as always she made her way down the path way of village seemingly to bob and weave between the people without ever breaking her concentration. She didnt want people to think it was okay to talk to her but she didn`t want them to ignore her either.

She noticed something dangling off the roof from the corner of her eyes, Kagami. She`d seen him around the area a few and the two seemed to be silent and have some similar traits which made her wonder if the child was really right in the head. She moved to one of the allys leaving her book on the ground and made her way up to the rooftop. She didn`t bother to keep her steps silent in fact she wanted him to know she was there. Another Uchiha running around and another for her to get tangled up with emotion wise. She`d found two more earlier in the week and befriended them however this one seemed more, Intellectual companionable than the others. "Done being the sulking emotionless one of your clan? If not I can come back later, if you are how about you come exploring with me? " she smirked slightly and offered her hand to him.

Too loud, as if purposefully being made to alert one of another's presence. The boy sighed, out of all the places, hell, out of all the roof tops why did someone have to pick this very one. Konoha was a big place, and though this building gave a great view from the top it wasn't meant to be a tourist destination. He had halfway decided on ignoring whoever was approaching, or rather just moving to a new spot, but then that familiar yet still irritating voice came through. Kagami turned his head to see that Nara girl standing before him. He hadn't actually cared enough to remember her name. The joke she made received no laugh, just a roll of the eyes. Had she come all the way up here just to poke fun at the boy? Apparently not as she spoke of going to explore. Why couldn't people just leave him be? Sure, the Uchiha had a troubled past but he had never taken it out on anyone. Never asked for any special treatment and yet here this girl was asking to go on some kind of adventure. Granted, she wasn't as bad as everyone else. She, too, was quiet, one of the smart one's; everyone in her clan was. Not that it mattered anyway, she too was grouped in the same category like everyone else: annoying. He wanted to turn back around, but the solitude had been ruined and there was little chance Kagami was going to get it back. He accepted the hand and pulled himself from the ledge, dark hues glancing into her gray one's but for just a moment before darting away. Soon the boy would begin to make his way down the building which was always the hardest part. Gravity was a cruel temptress, but in due time he was ground level once more. "What kind of exploring did you have in mind?" He asked, a rare moment of curiosity leaving his lips. "Well thats the whole thing about exploring, you never know what you`ll find or where to do it until you find it." She shrugged her shoulders slightly giving him a mischievous smile. There was a lot about the Nara girl that people didn`t know and when it came to exploring she was ready and willing to go for anything. Unlike any of the other genin girls Aya knew what she wanted in a man and for her life. She didn't bother speaking any more there was no real reason for her to freak out in her mind than what she was already doing. She wasn`t working for anyone but herself, but something about this male made her want to get to know him a little more than what she had just heard. She was interested in him but the idea of another person in her life was just something she would never be use too, Sure her clan had a pact with two others and it was kinda an unspoken bond but she didn`t want to rely on her family for friends and she apparently had some sort of Uchiha magnets. Typical she`d go for the clan that didn`t take kindly to people, it was like she was looking for trouble in her love life. At the age of thirteen everything seemed more spontaneous and romantic but she had yet to figure out if she`d really want to keep this male with her at this moment of time. If things didn`t pan out she could always just leave him on the side of a road lost. Seemed like a good idea to her, and with that the black haired girl smiled to herself before looking down towards the ground beneath them. Who wasnt up for a little adventure here and there? However, there was some truth to the girl's statement which was both annoying and entertaining. He didn't care to keep track of people's names or mannerisms during his time in the academy but as this girl was one of the smarter one's it was hard to forget seeing the teacher call on her multiple times a day. Normally the Uchiha wasn't fond of know it all's, hell he knew a particular Sarutobi who was the biggest brown noser in the history of existence, but this Nara didn't seem to fit that stereotype. No, she was intelligent but didn't use her knowledge for personal favor in someone else's eyes, a redeeming quality of the human race perhaps. "Very well, let's get a move on." He replied a bit stale, talking had never been a strong suit. Kagami had begun walking and didn't really give too much notice in terms of pace, if the girl kept up or not it really didn't matter. The destination was nowhere in particular and it seemed the two would be in for a day of walking aimlessly. It had been quite some time since the boy had been graced with one of these purposelessness days where he could do whatever whenever without having to give regard to regulations and the such. Not that he wanted it to become a habit or anything, but being able to enjoy a care free day every now and then helped to relax both the body and the soul. "What was your name again?" Kagami inquired, having actually found enough interest in the girl to try and remember her name this time around. His next words seemed to have surprised her, she hadn`t been expecting him to want to go along with the plan but she couldn`t complain either. She smiled slightly despite the stale sound in his voice, she figured he come around eventually even if it took a few hours. The timing was pretty extreme, she was ready to open herself up to someone who could offer her more than what she already had, someone who was like her. In a village this size she knew all of the villagers, and an arranged married could have been made for the young Nara girl but she hoped and prayed that her father would have trust in her choices as she got older, If anything she wouldn`t fallow through with his plans. Much like her mother she was a free spirit despite the fact her parents hadn`t had an arranged marriage the thought of being forced was still on her mind and she seemed to have forgotten about the male until she heard the sound of his voice ringing through the air around her. His question drew her attention back to the world around them and away from her selfish thoughts. "Aya.", Sweet and short. She didnt bother to tell her first name. Shikaya was her birth name, the clan name picked for her, but she didn`t like the way it sounded, She would have preferred to be Aya for the rest of her life. Most of the people who knew her and her family called her Shikaya but she wondered if eventually she`d be able to drop the shika from her name. She looked to the boy her gray eyes scanning his body curiously, why did his name escape her lips? People moving about just talking and not giving a care in the world, ignorant to the evils of the world around them. Every so often Kagami wanted everyone to be able to see the world as he did, to understand the pain that he had experienced and ground them a little, that was true change in his eyes. However, he knew that a village full of people as miserable as he was both unrealistic and more of a pain than healing. Perhaps the boy hadn't thought things out as well as he should have, or at the very least was just being spiteful. He'd never admit it, though, which was one of the reasons his healing had never taken place. After his parents died it was difficult, but his brother was always there to wipe away the tears and speak words of wisdom, and perhaps if he were still here then the boy wouldn't have turned out so... moody. That had not been the case, however, as one day the man just up and left without so much as a note. It was then that Kagami knew he could no longer trust any person, they were all destined to leave at some point so why bother building relationships? Dark hues flickered back into existence as the Genin broke from his thoughts, a rare feat considering how often he pondered about life and its meaninglessness. Unfortunately he had agreed to go exploring with the dark haired girl whose name could not be registered, so for at least the next while Kagami had to at least try and act social. Deep down he wanted to, but those thoughts would never see the light of day, no matter how interesting the prospect of this girl was. If she held any merit then a connection could be formed and used later down the road, but that was about all the Uchiha saw coming out of this little excursion. It was by no means kissing ass, simply utilizing the given opportunities. Kagami's face scrunched a bit upon hearing the name, he could have sworn that there was more to it. Whatever, this would be easier to remember anyway... not that he necessarily wanted to remember her name, it was just simpler than coming up with a nickname was all. "Kagami." He replied, no surname. If the red and white symbol on the back of his shirt didn't gave away the lineage then this girl was denser than words could describe. Not that it mattered for he hadn't awakened his Sharingan yet so there was little satisfaction from being half an Uchiha, so to speak. "What do you usually do on these... explorations?" Kagami asked with the obvious tone of a person who had little experience creating small talk with people. How could one male spike her interest more so than any of the boys in the village. She had to give it to the boy he was someone that you couldn`t find in the village so easy, he acted more like her than any other person did, it was slightly appealing and yet she found it to be slightly annoying. Was this how she acted? When his question rang through the air she raised a brow looking over at him slightly for a moment before turning her gray eyes back to the path in front of them. She wanted to keep her mouth shut but there was nothing she could do but tell the truth. "Honestly, I just kind of go where ever my feet take me, but I do know this nice little spot in the woods. Its got flowers and a stream. Its nice and relaxing as long as no one shows up. Or we could go find some food and wonder around town to pass some time. Aya was odd about what she did and did not do. There was plenty to do in town but she didn`t find any true need to fallow her clan members around or even go with the flow of the village, she liked to be an original and do with her time as she pleased. But there was loads that she could do with another. Moving slightly so that she left a few more inches of space between then she looked towards the ground for a moment gathering her thoughts looking up and towards the male gray eyes curious, if anyone was going to be asking questions she was going to be the one doing it. "For someone so quiet you sure do ask a lot of questions, you know that?" a soft smirk crossed her face hiding any emotions or thoughts going through her mind. Not a special person, mind you, but a special scenario as he knew very little about just wandering about the village. The Genin always walked with a purpose wherever he went, even if it was just to idly sit around on a roof top and glare down at the ant sized people below. The girl spoke of a spot in the woods that had the stipulation of only being decent if no one else happened to show up, and then there was the option of going to get something to eat; something Kagami didn't have an interest in as he had just eaten a couple hours ago. His mind mulled over the idea of possibly being alone with Aya, it'd certainly mean he'd have to put on more of a conversation than if they were to just walk about Konoha and take in the sights, though just maybe there would be some interesting sights that would forgo the need to communicate, which while preferred was a long shot. Then, just as soon as the girl was about to cross over to the side of not completely annoying she had to go and run her mouth with such a ridiculous statement. Kagami's face twisted in an odd scowl, as if to signify that she was stating the obvious. "I only ask what's important." He replied stiffly, his eyes darting away from Aya's grey hues. "... Let's try that spot in the woods." The Uchiha added, his tone still mellow as to not give away that he was secretly intrigued about what this area had to offer in terms of getting away from the over crowded village, or at least the majority of it. He'd never admit to someone else coming up with a decent idea, but not instantly shooting it down with a snide remark may have well been the same thing.
