Technique Name: Kakuan Nitten Suishu | Enclosed Hermitage Entering Society with Bliss-Bringing Hands Technique's Label: Universal Technique Prerequisites: Wood Release Kekkei Genkai, Kekkei Genkai Specialty Rank: A Type: Ninjutsu, Kekkei Genkai Elemental Nature: Mokuton Hand-Seals: Boar → Dog → Bird → Monkey → Ram → Monkey → Tiger Speed of Technique: -- Chakra Consumption: Large [Activation], Medium [Constant] Description: The shining gem of the Wood Release kekkei genkai, this technique is the first manifestation of its most coveted quality: the ability to control the power of the nine tailed beasts. "Control," is used in a very limited sense in this case, as this technique merely achieves the goal of suppression. After the user has formed the needed hand seals, the kanji for the word "sit" appears on the palm of one of his hands. This hand must make physical contact with the tailed beast (or jinchuriki, as the case may be), at which point the chakra of the user and the beast becomes linked.
The beast is immediately immobilized by the application of this technique, and they are made docile for a number of posts equal to double the amount the user has spent forcing his suppression upon them (i.e. one post activating this technique and two posts spent suppressing the tailed beast renders it inactive for those three posts and a subsequent four). In the case of jinchūriki, however the goal of suppression is achieved differently. The host/beast are still immobilized upon contact with the user's seal, but the resulting suppression forces the beast's chakra back into the host at a rate of one tail per post (i.e. the Six-Tailed Slug would require seven posts to suppress: one for activation and another for each tail). The user must exercise near-complete focus to maintain the technique, leaving him with few options in terms of defending himself from any hostile elements.
This vulnerability is partly circumvented by this technique's true utility: by mastering it, the user is able to channel its power into any Wood Release technique, potentially turning any of them into a vehicle for the suppression of chakra. Affected wood will suppress a tailed beast's chakra in the same manner and at the same rate as the base technique, with the exception that bindings too small to maintain contact with a large enough portion of the beast's body (at least its torso) will not immobilize it.
[/blockquote][/blockquote] Technique Name: Mokuton: Hōbi no Jutsu | Wood Release: Hōbi Technique Technique's Label: Universal Technique Prerequisites: Wood Release Kekkei Genkai, Kekkei Genkai Specialty Rank: A-Rank Type: Ninjutsu, Kekkei Genkai Elemental Nature: Mokuton Hand-Seals: -- Speed of Technique: 1x Kunai Chakra Consumption: Large Description: Essentially a more powerful version of Wood Locking Wall, this technique essentially has the same effect, but forms the summoned wood into two halves of a dragon demon's face instead of using simple pillars. Extra thickness and thorough chakra reinforcement forges a defense strong enough to stand up to attacks as powerful as a (low-power) Tailed Beast Ball, but the intricacy of the summoned structure makes closing and opening it a more arduous task. The technique is thus best suited to defense against powerful techniques burdened with long preparation times or launched from great range.
[/blockquote][/blockquote] Technique Name: Mokuton: Hotei no Jutsu | Wood Release: Hotei Technique Technique's Label: Universal Technique Prerequisites: Wood Release Kekkei Genkai, Kekkei Genkai Specialty Rank: A Type: Ninjutsu, Kekkei Genkai Elemental Nature: Mokuton Hand-Seals: Unique Seal Speed of Technique: 5.5x Kunai Chakra Consumption: Medium [per hand] Description: This technique calls for the user to perform a unique hand motion in which he thrusts his hands toward the target. After this is done, one or more massive hands will emerge from the ground from some position around said target. These hands are large and strong enough to grip a tailed beast, but will not necessarily withstand a focused attack from one if they fail to get a hold of it.
[/blockquote][/blockquote] Technique Name: Mokuton Hijutsu: Jukai Kōtan | Wood Release Secret Technique: Nativity of a World of Trees Technique's Label: Universal Technique Prerequisites: Wood Release Kekkei Genkai, Kekkei Genkai Specialty Rank: A Type: Ninjutsu, Kekkei Genkai Elemental Nature: Mokuton Hand-Seals: Tiger → Snake or Ram → Snake Speed of Technique: 2x Kunai Chakra Consumption: [Large [<1km] - Immense [1-2km]] [Activation], Low - Medium [Constant] Description: An impressive display of the power of Wood Release, this technique acts as a scaled up and more dangerous version of the related technique Wood Release: Nativity of a Sea of Trees. After forming the needed hand seals (with some variation based on the user's intended range), the user will activate the roots in the ground and stimulate the rapid growth of trees within a given radius. These trees can be induced to cover a vast area, the end result being a whole forest of the user's creation. Intimidating as the technique may be, the true danger lies in the user's ability to manipulate the shape and patterns of the trees' growth, enabling him to impale, constrict, and/or smother those caught in the range of this jutsu on a whim while also manipulating the terrain for his own defense if need be.
[/blockquote][/blockquote] Technique Name: Mokuton: Kajukai Kōrin | Wood Release: Advent of a World of Flowering Trees Technique's Label: Universal Technique Prerequisites: Wood Release Kekkei Genkai, Kekkei Genkai Specialty Rank: S Type: Ninjutsu, Kekkei Genkai Elemental Nature: Mokuton Hand-Seals: Snake Speed of Technique: -- Chakra Consumption: Low - Immense Description: This technique can act as an enhanced version of its parent technique, but is best used in a preexisting forest or after Nativity of a World of Trees has already been used. The user forms the Snake Seal and promotes the growth of large plants on surrounding flora. These plants take a short time after creation to bloom [five posts, though the count may be reduced by 1 with a Medium application of chakra], and once they do, they release a pollen that will force anyone who inhales it into unconsciousness after a few moments' time [two posts]. Exceptionally willful individuals may resist the effect for a while, but the only way to overcome it entirely is to escape from the area the pollen covers before its effects kick in (or wear some sort of air filtration device). Resistance to this technique will be based on the victim's Taijutsu[Stamina], with targets being able to resist unconsciousness for one post for each Stamina rank he has over D-Rank (two posts in the case of Taijutsu Specialists). The user of the technique is immune to the pollen's effects.
The chakra cost varies based on the factors involved in the technique's use: Low if flowers are created on a single tree, Medium if they are created over a smaller area (<1km), and Large if they are created over a larger area (1-2km). The cost of each stage goes one level up if the technique is applied to trees that the user did not create himself (i.e. the cost of producing flowers on a single preexisting tree would be Medium).
